We met Kirsten in mid-2011 when my husband and I had just moved to Atlanta area. We were first time home buyers and not familiar with the area. To make things even harder I was a very picky buyer, with lots of requirements that were sometimes challenging with our budget!
Just prior to meeting her, we had made a huge mistake by going under contract to buy a new construction home without having our own agent! We didn’t realize that all those great “features and upgrades” we added had put us over budget (which , and that our commute would be horrible (we didn’t know how bad Atlanta traffic was). Kirsten “rescued” us by having her company’s legal department help get us out of the contract.
From that time on, Kirsten took note of all my requirements and drove us all over metro Atlanta to see every type of property
. We spent more than a year checking houses, and Kirsten was always professional, nice and very patient with us; she never gave up. Whether weekday or weekend she was always available and motivated.
We finally found a place we liked in a brand new subdivision, where she researched the whole neighborhood, schools, property values, etc., and helped us during all the construction phases, giving us good advice, and referring us a very good house inspector. ,
After about 1 ½ year living in our house, now with a 1 year old baby, we had to move to Miami area due to my husband’s job transfer. I did some research about selling the house ourselves or using a “discount” agent like Duffy. It seemed that I might make more money on selling my home, but then I realized how hard it would be for us to go through the entire process, such as staging the house, researching comps, getting the exposure the house needed, negotiating, having all the trouble scheduling appointments for people to come see the house and so much more…So we called Kirsten to help us in the sale process. She did a terrific job! Everything from staging the house to promoting open houses and real estate agent events, checking for surrounding comps, scheduling appointments for prospective buyers to come and see the house, negotiating etc. After about 1 month we got an offer, and Kirsten was fabulous in the negotiating process, which can be nerve-wrecking sometimes! She helped and advised us during the whole process until the closing day.
Buying a house, even if you’re not a first time home buyer, can be very tricky. We have no words to thank Kirsten for her dedication, professionalism and for becoming our friend. I will not hesitate to recommend her professional services to anyone who needs to buy or sell a house in Atlanta area.
