Kirk Reid, a Dallas native, started installing replacement windows over 25 years ago as one of the many services offered in his general contracting business. Over the years he found that his customers liked two of his construction projects the most: kitchen remodels and replacement windows. In 1993, after realizing that you never reach the top of your learning curve when you try to do everything well, he decided to do narrow the focus of his business to providing the highest quality window replacement service.
Unlike remodeling and repairs, once you've replaced windows, you've lost a customer. Homeowners just don't keep putting windows in their homes. Continually losing customers can be prove to be problematic when trying to sustain business. The solution was to build a strong referral based business by focusing on three objectives:
