We asked Kim to help consult with us on paint colors for our new house. We were overwhelmed with trying to figure out colors for the every room of the house. Kim was friendly and accommodating and was helpful in recommending several colors options for the walls, trim, and even painting some cabinets. It was an efficient process and were able to efficiently able to develop a plan for the house. We even had Kim come out again during painting to look at the colors on the walls since paint looks different on the wall and made some minor adjustments. We love the colors and she recommended colors we never would have considered previously. She is personable, professional, and an experienced design person we trusted to help us with this.

Kim has a great eye for detail and is super creative with color and fabric choices. She can transform a room into a comfortable living space and one that you want to come home to. She is an easy person to work with and works well within your budget.

Over the past several years, we have relied upon Kim Tepper's guidance and skill to redecorate different areas of our homes. Kim quickly responds to our requests, listens to how we explain our likes/dislikes so she may direct us down the correct path, and is very competitive when it comes to pricing. We recently came to her to decorate our living room, which is the first room people see when they enter our home. She came to our home with several choices of materials, colors and designs, and within a few months, our living room exemplified our tastes and offered an incredible first impression of our home. Kim rocked. She expertly led us through the thousand decisions you go through when doing a major remodel. We loved the vast majority of her choices, and when we didn't she took the feedback really well and gave us more options. Would highly recommend.

Poor communication with contractor and subs. Bathroom restoration was an absolute fiasco with me being in the middle telling the subcontractors what needed to be done. Then came the kitchen project. Completely wrong kitchen cabinet style which I did not realize until they were installed. Restoring a 1929 bungalow. In the first meeting showed her the hardware, sink and stove I planned to use. I already had my floor tile and wall tile picked out. Her job: coordinate the countertop and kitchen cabinets. As this was my first time pricing kitchen cabinets, I had no idea what they would actually cost. When she quoted the inset cabinets that I wanted, I thought it was too high. Her response, "I've never worked with anyone who had a budget." Nice put down. Found nice cabinets at Home Depot and was NEVER told that it wasn't the right style for the look I wanted and would not accommodate the hardware that was purchased. She took no responsibility for the error and blamed me for choosing the wrong cabinets. That supposedly I knew the difference between inset and overlay. (Cause, you know, I went to design school-NOT) and that this hefty decision should not have been made the day before I was supposed to have hip replacement surgery. REALLY? We never sat down to discuss design elements to ensure that I was getting everything I wanted. Yes, I was in a hurry to get the ball rolling. I wanted the kitchen done before thanksgiving. But as a "designer" it was her job to make sure everything "fit" the theme I was going for. I was shown one picture of an inset cabinet back on July 1 and the cabinets were ordered 8/13. Oh, right, never mind, I knew the difference between inset and overlay. I'm the designer. Stay away if your vision is different than what she normally does and you have an unlimited budget.

I found Kim to be knowledgeable and professional. She instantly understood the problem I was having finding the furniture I wanted available in a custom size. She found a vendor who was able to make the furniture I wanted in the specifications I needed. The furniture fit the room perfectly. As the owner of an older home her surfaces helped me update my space. She also suggested pieces that would coordinate with my special order that showed an understanding of both my style and space limitations.

Kim has been a godsend! I have used Kim's services for the past ten years in multiple capacities. When I first moved into my home, Kim helped me pull everything together with furniture and floor plans. Recently, she helped me do a complete kitchen remodel. Kim was wonderful at helping me determine what I should splurge on and what I could save on. She is honest, hardworking, and very easy to work with. I always felt that Kim was my partner and actually saved me money in the long run. She helped me every step of the way and was very patient when need. (We ordered about ten handle samples before I could decide which one I liked best!) I couldn't have lived through my kitchen remodel without her!
