Matt Woods Design

i Can hand on heart say without Matt woods, Percy Plunkett would not have had the success it has had. No one could have created the design quite like Matt. We have two new projects planned for 2020 and will only use Matt for these projects. Other than being an amazing designer he is a beautiful human that genuinely cares.

I first met Matt in 2011 and we have worked together on numerous projects spanning the commercial, residential and hospitality sectors. The most recent of which was our family home, with my firm Green Anvil Co. taking on the build and project manager, Matt’s role was both interior designer and confidant during what seemed like the never-ending decision-making process. Knowing Matt was the perfect designer for this project we just let him do his thing and come up with the concept plans. From there we worked on buildability and value management to maximise our budget. Having worked with Matt previously it allowed us to sort through any issues or questions mostly via phone or if particularly important, a quick site meeting. You could say the process was somewhat considered to ensure the intent but also organic during the build process which allowed us to make some decisions on the fly. The project won the 2019 Design Files Award for Interior Design and has been long/shortlisted for multiple other awards which is a testament to his design aesthetic and approach I’ve always found Matt to be professional, relatable, practical at solutions around construction whilst ensuring design intent is delivered. Matt is my go to designer when we have the opportunity to recommend or collaborate.

It has been such a pleasure to work with Matt from Killing Matt Woods! From our initial meeting, through to completion, I was very impressed with the level of professionalism, flexibility and initiative in solving problems during the works.
