We have a wholistic and collaborative approach to garden design, focusing on all aspects of our clients needs and wishes for their outdoor space. This allows us to create tailored garden designs that consider not only the architecture and surrounding environment, but how each client wants to interact with their space as well. We have a strong horticultural focus and believe that plants are integral to the overall feel and look of a garden. Our designs carefully balance hard surfaces with plants, ensuring both work in harmony and neither dominate the other. Careful planning is the key to a successful garden, it ensures you are getting it right from the start of the process to the finish. We cover every aspect of the design including style, budget, functionality and finishes. We specialise in residential garden design, planting design, garden consultations and outdoor styling. Beautiful Outdoor Spaces designed a minimalist, mid-century themed garden for my South Melbourne home that has created an inviting 'extra room' and alluring ambience that complements the home's architecture and our family's lifestyle. Director and landscape designer Kerri Heron was exceptional in outlining the services available, responding to the brief and continues to provide post sales advice. I really valued the way Kerri worked within the available budget and site structure, clearly scoped what would be delivered when, understood the local area growing conditions, researched and provided options, considered orientation and maintenance required for plant selection as well as style and recommended a landscaper who was a great fit and bought the design to life.

We asked Kerri to do a planting plan for our whole garden, some of which is still under construction. She produced a wonderful plan with exactly what to plant and where, as well as giving us much needed feedback in our initial meeting of how to tie all the elements in our garden together, as well as accurately determining our likes and dislikes, favorite colours and so forth. We can already see that the end result will be far more spectacular than if we'd muddled through on our own. Thanks Kerri

Kerri was a delight to work with in designing our new front garden! As a complete garden novice, Kerri listened to my ideas and was thorough, knowledgeable and attentive in her approach. She worked in with some of the garden/plants that were already established, but also came up with some really creative ideas and selected gorgeous plants that are a suitable fit for purpose for our front garden. Kerri was totally transparent with the costs, so there were no surprises along the way. We were also provided with physical copies of the design as well as electronic copies. Very happy customer!

Kerri’s garden design plans are fantastic & worth every single cent. She created a garden design plan for the front of our house which we have installed ourselves. We are pretty clueless about all things garden so having this plan has meant that all the stress of choosing the right plants & where to put them has been removed. She also sourced all the plants & pointed us in the right direction for sourcing all the other materials & the quantities we needed. Kerri met the brief perfectly & the result is a beautiful native, low maintenance garden that we are thrilled with. Kerri is super patient, extremely knowledgeable & has an obvious creative flair for garden design. We could not be happier with her services.

From the initial meeting with Kerri we knew she understood our needs and was able to cater for these perfectly. She has created a space that we love to spend time in. It is a pleasure to look at our beautiful garden and we love the plant selection as it has given us colour, privacy and an enjoyable space. We explained early on our lack of ability in the garden and Kerri has provided us with a low maintenance garden that is a pleasure to spend time in. We highly recommend Beautiful Outdoor Spaces.
