Karl was employed to install back splash tiling in our kitchen and repair drywall from where cabinets were removed. We decided to hire Karl based on online reviews and company recommendations. He appeared to be a good candidate, but everything changed once he started the job and was in my house. A job that should have taken two days top was extended to an entire week. He was late everyday, once two hours late without even a phone call. He would provide lame excuses to leave the job early everyday. We were charged to have the existing tile removed, the drywall removed to studs and replaced and the tile installed. Due to new countertops being installed by another company, the existing tiling had to be removed before Karl arrived. He only replaced some of the drywall and patched others areas with a large amounts of spackle, which did not have enough time to dry before having tile installed. The tile in that area is 'soft' when pressed. He only used a few spacers even though he had a huge bucket of them, and when he left for the day, I placed several spacers to fix the already drooping areas. In my opinion, his demeanor was arrogant, rude and the behavior was unacceptable, especially since he was working for me and in my house. Just one example: There were several areas of the tile that were crooked (did not use spacers) and when we asked to have them straightened, he looked at us and said, "seriously?" He did reimburse us a very small amount of money for the terrible work, but it took over a year to get that. I would not recommend him to do ANY work in your home. My kitchen was remodeled and other than the tile work by Karl, it is gorgeous.

We recently had our kitchen remodeled by A Fresh Look. They did an excellent job with the remodel. They made sure that everything was done right and gave their expert opinions when needed.

Karl was hired for our kitchen & laundry room remodeling. We were very satisfied with the results. Karl was very professional, easy to work with, provided guidance when needed, while allowing us to direct the project with our ideas . We would highly recommend.

Karl renovated our kitchen and did the floors for the kitchen and living room. Not only did he take care of every detail, including the removal of a load-bearing wall and providing a great electrician and custom cabinet maker, but he helped us turn our ideas into reality with amazing suggestions. He even went with us to choose our counter tops and flooring, in case we had questions. We were able to get our dream kitchen and stay within our budget. He took care of every detail. We love our new kitchen and we love Karl. He was a pleasure to work with and we plan to call him when we do future renovations.

We had Karl renovate our bathroom. He took it down to the studs and the finished product is wonderful. I had a general concept and he was great to work with to bring that idea to reality. Karl is meticulous and when you are dealing with plumbing and tile, you need to be. Great job! Couldn't be happier!

Karl took our 20 year old master bathroom down to the studs. The finished product is fabulous. We're very happy. He has an artist's eye and an engineer's attention to detail. His skills as a contractor are excellent. He brought up details we never considered. We highly recommend calling Karl - especially if it's your first big renovation.

I was remodeling the kitchen and asked Karl to complete my vision of a stoned archway(Pass through) that turns into the kitchen back splash. It turned out beautifully. A Fresh Look did exactly what I requested of them. They were able to start immediately on the project and get it done in time . Karl and Tom did a complete master bathroom renovation. They are meticulous professionals with an eye for detail. Beside the obvious...their quality work... we truly appreciated their timeliness(they always showed up and called when they said they would) and their honesty.(we gave them a key to our home) As one would expect, there were some bumps along the way but because of their excellent communications with us, things always were resolved in an expedient manner. Karl and Tom are amazing at what they do. My master bathroom is breathtaking thanks to their talents, dedication, and hard-work. Karl and Tom have done other projects for us through the years. A Fresh Look was highly professional from start to finish. Karl's original design for our project was much more elegant than any other contractor we contacted, and they executed on the design beautifully. They were very up-front with all expenses, and kept everything very fair. After the job was complete and they had been paid, there were a few minor cosmetic issues with the room that we discovered, and Karl fixed them quickly in a follow-up visit. A Fresh Look is very honest, trustworthy, and they do quality work. We will not hesitate to consult with Karl and Tom again when we need more work done on our home.
