Just Plane Wood

Roger repaired and rebuilt our historic windows in our 125 year old Victorian house. He did an outstanding job! Always professional, he has a great team and the cost was exactly what we discussed. We highly recommend Just Plane Wood and plan on using him again in the future.

Roger and his crew built a pergola on our deck to provide shade and comfort. We are delighted with the results. The guys were polite, dependable, and extremely thoughtful. I would highly recommend Just Plane Wood for any woodworking project or home renovation.

Roger and his team at Just Plane Wood have done numerous projects for me both at my former home to get ready to sell and the renovation of my new home. In my current home they have built out a library to accommodate a rather large collection of books that included a glassed and lighted corner cabinet to display artifacts, and provide an space for a musical system, they have constructed and installed a large 'breakfront' wet bar in the kitchen with lighted cabinets, and currently I have them contracted to complete out structural items for the backyard to screen in a patio provide some changed fencing, and provide an arbor/trellis. Their craftsmanship is exceptionable, they are easy to work with, timely, up front; everything you want in someone you are contracting with. What I have been particularly impressed with is you can either give them a drafted blueprint of what you want, or just a sense of what you are looking for and they will execute it without a glitch. .

We met with Roger and talked about various projects in the house and he offered excellent suggestions and gave us choices. Thus far, we have had wood kitchen counters, along with tile backsplash, installed. We were excited to have this work done. Once completed and we saw the work, it was above and beyond what we expected. The wood counter tops are beautiful and the work done was wonderful, plus the work area was completely cleaned up. Looking forward to having more projects done by Just Plane Wood.

Roger is simply amazing at anything wood. We completed an extensive remodel in 2013 and transformed a ranch into a classic modern home with architect Marcus DiPietro. Roger crafted our doors, shelving and exterior architectural window screens. He also refinished a high end Italian dining table that looks better now than it did new. A true professional with an impeccable eye for detail with exceptional workmanship and installation. Highly recommend is an understatement.

Just Plane Wood has beautifully built several pieces for me: an walnut and papyrus armoire, a walnut console table and an antique style kitchen cabinet inset hutch. All have been beautifully crafted and finished in a way that accentuate the authenticity of the pieces - real wood finished as real wood. The company has been very professional and a pleasure to work with each time.

I wish I could show you a picture of the beautiful job Roger and his team did with our fireplace/bookshelf wall. We could not be more pleased. From concept to design and through to the last doorknob installed, everything was done with meticulous accuracy and excellent quality. Roger has the artistic ability as well as the architect/engineering skill sets we needed to rework an odd mish-mash of bookshelves and fireplace mantel in our Victorian house. He advised us well, and the end product was a perfect blend of styles. He was very patient and flexible with us, having to rework the design a few times, when we decided in mid-project to pull out the old inefficient fireplace and install a high efficiency fireplace with outside air vents. Roger and his team were always on time, always cheerful, and always cleaned up after the day's work. We have received endless compliments on the beautiful new wall, and love to be in that room now. We can't wait to have Roger and his crew tackle our next project.

Roger used my old barn wood to make a gorgeous wood door sliding on a iron rail system. He also made wood panels for my husbands band room with flip down panels that hide electric outlets. The whole process was very professional and well done. We absolutely love it!

I have worked with Roger on half a dozen projects over the past 8 years. As a woodworker, Roger is highly skilled and knowledgeable- a master. As an architect, I rely on Roger's good judgement and expertise on "all things wood". He is a true craftsman and creative problem solver. But most of all, I appreciate his positive attitude and his collaborative work process. Whenever I have a challenging woodworking project, I think of Roger first.
