Glideaway Door Systems

Glideaway Provided an excellent product with great service. The quality of the door is great and i will be purchasing off them for the 3 doors for my new build. Glideaway Replaced the 24 year old tilt door with a new smart looking Coloursteel plank look sectional door.

Bought a low head room panel door to install myself . Instructions very basic but I managed to install . Door then failed to close properly. Eventually discovered there were supposed to be door anti sag torsions. These did not arrive with the package nor there were any reference to these in the "manual,". There was an extremely basic diagram on a added sheet that implied the fitting of torsions but gave no specific detail on installing. Rang regarding problems. Told to get an installer. 3 hour round trip for installer to come and make a number of adaptions to get the door running . Installer commented the 4 Springs supplied mismatched in tension which created imbalance. No comment about this in instructions. Torsions eventually arrived too late for the installer Rang and asked the manager to ring me to talk through the problems. Never ever contacted me. In summary 1. "Manual" extremely basic and needs to be updated for completeness for the DIY er 2. No technical or customer support or concern provided by manager when requested

Feilding manager very rude. Hung up on me mid-conversation while I was explaining a problem. I was correct in my explanation as it turned out. I rang the Auckland distributor who was extremely helpful and the problem was solved within 3 minutes. To the Feilding manager. As it turned out it was not the fault of our security alarm which you were so adamant was the problem. Hanging up on people will get you nowhere but will loose customers. A.J.Smith
