Jim Whitson's craftsmanship has helped us create a truly memorable and unique example of modern black-smithing skills. His artistic and draughting abilities soon produced a most impressive final design for our double drive-way gates. Now installed, they will provide us with years of pleasure and a lasting example of Jim's metal working skills

The Blazing Blacksmith worked with us to design several aspects of the Sculpture and Poetry Trail which was installed at Muiravonside Country Park. He was fantastic at working with the community during the design process and gave clear and accurate estimates of the time needed to prepare pieces and the best way of installing them on site. Jim Whitson is one of the most creative, talented and able blacksmiths I have ever seen. I commissioned some large free standing sculptures from "The Blazing Blacksmith" for my garden after seeing his work on his website. They are stunning - exactly what I wanted - an 8 foot tall fritillary and a 5 foot tall spinning poppy seed - both on sprung metal "stems". From every angle they look fabulous. They were designed exactly in line with my vision, reasonable in price, delivered on time and to budget. I just love his work...his professionalism....his attitude AND his ability.

The Blazing Blacksmith was fantastic to work with! I found Jim on the Internet and was invited to visit his workshop. I presented my ideas (and my budget) and he listened with an open mind. Even though my concept was vague, Jim understood the vision and helped me talk through the details. He presented me with several designs and explained the options that we had. He kept me involved throughout and was a pleasure to work with. From inception to installation, Jim worked with the utmost professionalism. I would definitely hire him again. His work is amazing!

The Blazing Blacksmith has now done 2 projects for us, a Juliet balcony and a large 3 section gate. We are delighted with both items and have had many compliments from friends and strangers alike. Jim is fantastic to deal with. He listens to ideas and adds imaginative and practical solutions. He is reliable and friendly and encouraged us to visit his workshop and see the designs in progress.He kept us up to date with developments and adhered to timetables.
