Dan's Custom Hardwood Floors

The installers of my prefinished hardwood floor, railing and new stair treads did an excellent job; they arrived promptly at scheduled times and left their work spaces immaculate. It was a pleasure to work with a company that charged a fair price and followed through with requests.

We were new to town two years ago and used Dan's Hardwood Floors based on our realtors recommendation to install and re-finish floors on the first floor. The floors turned out beautiful so when we moved across town we called Jimmy again. We had an extremely tight window (1 week) to refinish the floors in the entire house and Jimmy's team met us at the house within an hour of closing and had his team start sanding/replacing boards. They are dependable and extremely hard workers and the floors turned out amazing and in time for my family to move in as scheduled! Highly recommend!

We are very pleased with the kitchen/entryway refinishing that Dan's Custom Hardwood just completed at our home. Jimmy worked with us to find the finish that would give us the look that we wanted. We chose a Woca White Oil finish for our 5 " white oak kitchen floor and a Woca Black Oil finish for our 8 inch reclaimed Douglas Fir floor in our entryway...fabulous finish, just what we wanted! We couldn't be more pleased with the look. Jimmy and his crew are very professional and hardworking, they even came in to complete the job over the weekend..Saturday and Sunday! This kitchen renovation project has lasted over 9 months now. We have had a lot of disappointing subcontractors that we have had to chase, who have done less than stellar work and who have charged us a small fortune. Jimmy and Dan's flooring have been one of the most professional, thoughtful and fairest contractors on this whole project. Jimmy even did some refinishing in our living room free of charge so that the new kitchen floor would flow into the living room....greatly appreciated! Thanks for everything.

Dan’s is by far one of the best companies we have ever hired. We had about 2000 ft² of mostly red oak refinished with a gorgeous stain designed just for our house. Jimmy (Dan's son) considers flooring an "art." He has a genuine desire to make sure the job is done right and wouldn’t leave until we were 100% happy. It shows in the end product. Our floors are just beautiful. We didn't have any of the issues experienced by friends who used other companies (machine marks, uneven staining, under-sanding, excessive dust etc.). After seeing our floors, they all said they wished they had used Dan's. It’s really hard to find great companies like this today and I could not recommend them more.

Jim and I had the opportunity to work together on a very complicated project involving multiple hardwood parquette coloring that was completed by the burnishing oils. His people skills and workmanship were above and beyond board. Really a top notch wood floor professional even for most complicated hardwood floors. Jim is definitely a member of the flooring elite.

I had Dan's flooring install 1/2 a floor in my condo in JP. Jimmy and his crew did an amazing job, and went ABOVE AND BEYOND working with me to blend the new white oak with the old white oak. They are a great company, and I would recommend them to anyone who need flooring work.

Dan's Custom Hardwood Floors refinished our floors in our home. We set up a week that was convenient for us and Dan's was happy to accommodate. The employees were knowledgeable about wood types, finishes and wood repair. They use a dustless system but also covered our home with plastic where necessary. They also protected the paint on our baseboard and walls. Dan's cleaned up so well that we hardly noticed any dust which was a relief for us. We think it is because they were so respectful of our home and understood that it could be an unsettling project for the home owner. They stayed on schedule and our floors are beautiful! Dan's also left us with a Bona hardwood floor cleaning kit to keep our floors looking like new. Jim Nugent from Dan's has called us twice to make sure that we are satisfied with everything. We were building a new house and had hardwood floors with a dark stain throughout the house. The floor was installed by a different company and they did a terrible job with the staining as they mixed the stain and polyurethane together. This resulted in the floors being splotchy and with the stain literally flaking off. I was desperate to find a floor refinisher who could correct this problem and was so thrilled to have found Dan's Custom Hardwood. They were recommended to me by someone who had had a similar experience with their floors and had great results with Dan's. When they came out to assess the job, they immediately diagnosed the problem with the floors and were confident that they could sand the floors down to the wood and refinish them properly. And they did just that! They did an amazing job and the floors look great. They did a very careful and thorough job and even spent the time to tell me how to properly care for the floors to keep them looking so nice. I would highly recommend them!

Jimmy and his team did an outstanding job refinishing the hard wood floors in our house. The floors were badly scuffed in high traffic areas and I wasn't sure if the floor could be refinished. Jimmy refinished them to like new condition. In one day the floors were sanded and practically no dust from sanding. The finishing with Bona high traffic finish was outstanding.
