I've worked with Jill three times on window treatments for my Dupont Circle condo. She is a great listener and pays attention to what the client wants. She also has a fantastic sense of style and her recommendations were spot-on. I highly recommend her!

Jill knew exactly what the bedroom windows needed. The curtains are crisp, modern, and functional. She has a great sense of color and texture.

Jill was very helpful and provided wonderful design ideas for my valences and shades in my kitchen, dining room and sunroom. In addition she gave me the best fabrics for my valences and they were perfect for what I wanted. She spent much time making sure that my needs and wants were met! I would highly recommend Jill to anyone that wants someone they can trust to give them the right ideas and recommendations with great follow though for their home design needs.

We are extremely happy with the new window treatments in our living room and dining room. We were looking to replace Roman shades that felt heavy and outdated. Jill suggested off white Sheer Shades that allow light to come through but also offer privacy at night. She has a great sense of color and design. We appreciated the extra time she took to show us samples and measure the windows, which are a tricky configuration. The new shades brighten up our first floor and fit perfectly. Jill was easy to work with and totally professional. We would use her again.

Jill came to my home to help me with window treatments for my family room. I had no idea what I wanted and had never done custom window treatments before. She explained to us about the different products and suggested what she thought might work perfectly in the room. I took her advice and couldn't be happier. It turned out perfect. She also followed up with me to make sure all went well during the install. I was very impressed with her professionalism and I would highly recommend her.

Jill was wonderful to work with up to the point that we received 6 of our window coverings in the wrong size and multiple items missing from our order. It has been more than a month since installation, and we have called to follow up with her and Smith & Noble customer service on numerous occasions. There have been weeks that have gone by without any response to our request for an update on when we will be receiving the items that we have already paid for in full. The supposed benefit of using an in-home designer is that you get accurate measurement and installation, sadly that was not the case for us. I am disappointed to be leaving this review, but we still have not had the issue resolved. Jill was extremely responsive up until the moment she made the sale, but then was not very helpful when we followed up on delivery times (we were going out of town and needed to make arrangements for someone to come by and put the packages inside) and she has been very unresponsive to our requests for replacement. The installers confirmed the items had been shipped as ordered but the original measurements were incorrect. The issue with our order came down to faulty measuring -- which Jill did personally -- and I heard from our installers that it was not the first time they have had issues with her measuring inaccurately. If she had been as responsive to our need to correct these mistakes as she had been to make the initial sale, we would not be leaving this negative review. After all, mistakes do happen! But after many weeks of little to no communication, we are left with the impression that she does not feel any urgency or responsibility to ensure that we the products that and services that we paid for. We chose to work with Jill based on her five star reviews, so I wanted to give future homeowners the benefit of understanding why we would not recommend her.

We felt very comfortable working with Jill Kahn. Her knowledge and expertise on window furnishings is amazing and we are glad to have taken her advice. Very happy with her suggestion for sheer shades and valence. Enjoying more natural light in our family room. Thanks Jill!

Jill is wonderful! She helped me figure out what to do in my sunroom and I am thrilled with the result! She knows her products, presents the options that work in the space, and makes sure everything is measured, ordered and installed perfectly. She listened to my opinions and gave excellent practical advice. I would call Jill again on other projects. I am very happy!

Jill came prepared with recommendations to help us with 3 skylights, 9 French windows, and 1 sliding door in our kitchen. Not only did Jill pay attention to the details throughout the kitchen to help with idea, but also she was very patient with the many questions I asked. Jill was very detail oriented and explained the proposal to me and walked me through the install process. I am already planning my next project to have Jill come back (after I save up for the next install ;-) Jill and her extended team including Robert were courteous, professional, and knowledgeable. Jill is AMAZING! So friendly, knowledgeable & has great insight & advice! She took her time with me & didn’t pressure me to “chose” what was more expensive, but what was best for our house! I wouldn’t use anyone else from now on!
