Residential Design - City & Cottage Design Services. Well designed space feeds the soul. Jeremy believes that design affects all aspects of our being and that living spaces should reflect comfort and beauty as well as complementing the personality and lifestyle of his clients. A passion for his work, a facility with fabrics and colour and a willingness to expand his ideas and ways of looking at different environments are intrinsic to Jeremy's design ethos. After studying in Toronto and working with several prominent designers, Jeremy established Aykroyd Design in 1996. Since then he has worked in Canada and the United States of America, with his primary focus in Toronto.

Jeremy has done a number of projects for me over many years . Although I have worked with others in the past, I find him to be uncannily instinctive in understanding what I am looking for , and in finding it for me . He sources non-stop and is totally committed to a project : He is very lucky in finding just that perfect thing as a result . I totally trust his opinion and he is flexible enough to take mine into account , which is nice . He understands cost constraints and respects budgets . But most important to me is that his talent is continually evident and he is a pleasure and a joy to work with : great sense of humour , down to earth and just a little bit naughty , a perfect trio of fun, versatility and productivity . I couldn’t be more pleased than I have been with the results. Plus, he loves Color !! No white boxes Thankyou !

I have worked with Jeremy for a number of years now and look forward to every project we work on with him. He has such a great eye for colours and tastefully puts together rooms that make a space warm, welcoming, and functional. One of the things that I feel separates Jeremy is his attentiveness to his clients’ needs/wants, but then his ability to show clients elements that they hadn't thought of. One specific case was of a client that only had traditional rugs in the past, but wanted to modernize their new condo. Jeremy showed them how a modern rug could update a space without alienating existing traditional pieces, and tie-in 2 other spaces by harmonizing a specific colour. He also does a great job of always communicating with his clients and suppliers to ensure that everyone remains on the same page from start to finish of every project.

We met Jeremy through a client of ours. After purchasing our first home in the city, the condo needed a serious update to the kitchen space. Having Jeremy on board was a lifesaver; he liaised with the condominium, coordinated all the contractors and putting the pieces together, not to mention the wonderful design. Even with a slight detour of the to-be-kitchen, Jeremy offered great suggestions and helped point us in the right direction when choices felt overwhelming. He helped keep the budget in check, supplying us with spreadsheets as to the cost and savings of our different choices. On top of that, Jeremy’s connections allowed us to secure certain coveted items that would have otherwise slipped through our fingers. We can’t recommend Jeremy enough; he was kind, passionate, and his knowledge of everything art and design helped translate what we were looking for into a reality.

What started as a small galley kitchen, transformed into an up to date, modern and chic entertaining space for friends and family. And the photographer's lamp from Italy, added the final touch. I met Jeremy on Houzz. I was impressed with his presence and style and thought he would be a good fit for my design and decorating style. He is extremely professional and knowledgeable and has a wide range of abilities. He is conscious about budgets and keeps you fully informed as to the process involved. He designed a stellar desk for me and had it built to my specifications. I liked the fact that when I wasn't sure about choosing finishes or fabrics he gave me good options. I was kept informed of the process along the way. He is open to changing paths mid stream and is very passionate about his work. My house is feeling more like a well dressed home and I'm excited to do my next project with him!

Jeremy is a highly professional, detail oriented Interior Designer. Jeremy is involved in every step of his work, from the design through the manufacturing process to the installation and beyond. Jeremy is very personable to work with and is always available to answer questions. Jeremy is open to suggestions and works through any problems very methodically. Possessing excellent communication skills and a calm demeanor are traits that are very important when dealing with others, and are very important in a business such as this where there are multiple trades coming together to achieve the end result for clients.

As a design consultant for a major residential developer and as an independent decorator, I have admired and followed the work of Jeremy Aykroyd and Aykroyd Design for several years. Jeremy follows no template, copy or repeat approach and he really works to understand a clients individual tastes and preferences. At my request, Jeremy involved me in several aspects of a client's recent renovation, decorating and refurnishing of a larger condominium in midtown Toronto. From working with Jeremy and from observing the capacity and ease with which he applies his creative vision, I have discovered new and innovative ways to transform and articulate the client's ideas and needs into an elegant and sophisticated interior; which in this case is nothing short of a masterpiece. Jeremy's exceptional taste, his use of colour and texture and his vast industry knowledge proved a true inspiration. It was a great privilege to be part of the process.

Jeremy has exquisite taste,a real vision for how a room should look and excellent ideas for decor. He listened to our concerns and needs and was able to complete the project that was everything that we had hoped for. He has very good resources and was able to get us unique pieces and custom furniture that is beautifully made.

I have consulted with Jeremy twice in the past five years. Each time he has skillfully directed me, saving me hours of frustration and ensuring my delight with the end result. I have moved many times over the past 40 years and have made as many choices of paint colours, window treatments and furniture arrangements. Too often these choices have been costly mistakes. Not so, with Jeremy Aykroyd. He has a great eye for colour and design as well as an appreciation for art, fabrics and unusual artifacts gleaned from his extensive travel. Jeremy actively listens, is receptive and is able to work within a budget, being equally at home in discount outlets and international fabric houses. Jeremy has an eye for the tastefully eclectic. He is able to rearrange tired pieces of furniture and revive them with an array of fabrics only he could select. I have absolute confidence in his work.

This interior designer operates with impeccable standards. Jeremy Aykroyd is a talented designer with exquisite taste who is able to translate one's concept into a beautiful rendition of the client's vision. He is honest, straightforward, follows through on his promises and has excellent resources upon which to draw. He is particularly gifted with color and fabric. In general he knows what works and his decisions, even when I have balked at the inception of this plan, have generally been correct. I would recommend him without hesitation.
