Jennifer Wagner Schmidt of JWS Interiors is based in the metro Washington, DC area and has clients in both DC as well as New York City. An award-winning Interior Decorator, her work has been featured in numerous magazines and blogs including Home & Design, Domino, Good Housekeeping, Rue, The Washington Post TheEverygirl, The Glitter Guide, Apartment Therapy, Design*Sponge, CocoCozy, Refinery29, DC by Design, West Elm's Front & Main, and more. In 2015 she was recognized by Harper's Bazaar as an inspiring woman in her 30s and was featured in the August 2015 issue. Schmidt was also named by Home & Design Magazine as one of the "HOT TALENT" up-and-coming designers in the Washington, D.C. area in July 2013. Her design philosophy is to keep decor chic, timeless, and luxurious with a touch of glamour. As an entrepreneur and mother of two daughters, Jennifer understands the importance of designing practical, yet beautiful spaces. After working in hi-tech PR in San Francisco and DC, Jennifer decided to work in the world of interiors. She went to design school, took several classes and was hooked. She moonlighted at the Washington Design Center and ultimately decided to break out on her own forming her design company JWS Interiors. Jennifer gets her inspiration from runway fashion, abstract art, Hollywood glamour, luxury travel and more. She is able to translate great design into sophisticated interiors reflecting her clients' lifestyles.
