I hired Jeffrey Erb to overhaul my neglected 1,000 square foot backyard/terrace. He handled all aspects of design and installation, and he continues to manage the ongoing garden maintenance. He was also instrumental in steering me through the burdensome process of obtaining approvals from my co-op's managing agent, engineer, and board. Jeffrey was professional, responsive, thoughtful, thorough and flexible throughout the project. He thoughtfully and seamlessly incorporated disparate needs in his design (e.g., half basketball court for teenagers, greenery for mom, dining area, bike storage, new fence, gate and back door). His attention to detail was terrific -- from suggesting and obtaining furniture, colors and plants to coordinating various subcontractors to ensure an efficient installation period. His cost estimates were accurate, and while it took longer to finish than anticipated, that was due to the co-op process. I love my terrace now; it is a pleasure to spend time there and gaze upon it when weather keeps me indoors. I have received many compliments from friends and neighbors. Highly recommend.

I have been using Jeffery Erb Landscape Design for the half dozen planters on the terraces at my apartment for the last two years and I could not be happier. He is incredibly creative but also listens carefully to our ideas to come up with planting schemes that look better than we ever would have imagined. We had utilized two other landscapers before our architect turned us on to Jeffery and can say that he stands head and shoulders above the competition. He is also incredibly professional. He responds promptly to all emails, arrives when he says he will, and takes great care with protecting our lobby, the elevators and our apartment while moving plants in and out. He also has always provided an advance budget and stuck to it. I wish there was a sixth star we could give him!

JAN 2017 UPDATE: After deciding we weren't up to the task of designing our own space, we decided to hire Jeffrey to do just that. He was initially very responsive, and generated some excellent ideas and early drawings, as expected, but that was months ago. Since then he has literally been unreachable, and we have had to move on, mid-project. Very much not desirable. It would have been nice for him to have let us know that we were being dumped as clients, we might not have lost so much time, or been left with such a bad taste in our mouths. An explanation and an apology are the least we are owed. ORIGINAL JUL 2015 POST: I hired Jeffrey to consult on a roof deck associated with an apartment we had just purchased. He was very professional over email, on the phone and in person. We really just wanted to pick his brain and get some of his off the cuff thoughts on our space and the changes we were looking to make. We are doing all the heavy lifting ourselves, at least initially, but very much appreciated his creative thoughts and sage advice, all of which we intend to implement or keep in mind. Would highly recommend using him for this purpose and for any size job. We look forward to bringing him back for additional work and maintenance in the years to come.

I hired Jeffrey Erb Landscape Design to turn my 475sf outdoor space in NYC into a modern, functional and aesthetically pleasing outdoor living space. The result turned out better than I could have possibly imagined and the process to get there was completely stress-free. Jeffrey gave me multiple design options with detailed cost breakdowns for each one. He incorporated my must have's seamlessly into the design and enhanced the whole project with his ideas for a fireplace and custom built cabinetry. His suggestions for plants and planters were spot on with the vision I was looking to achieve. Jeffrey, his team and his sub-contractors were the utmost professionals throughout the process. I think key to this was Jeffrey's communication - I always knew what to expect and what was happening. After completion of the project, I hired Jeffrey to perform the maintenance on the terrace. With the first year gone by, his team continued to perform at a high quality level and I look forward to working with Jeffrey and his team into the future.

We hired Jeffrey Erb and his team to fill our small townhouse garden with lush plants and flowers within our budget. He was extremely friendly, professional, on time and most of all respected our budget. He incorporated a few of the plants we had and converted our garden to our own sanctuary. We received compliments from family, friends and neighbors when they would come over. When Jeffrey called in the Spring of 2012 for a maintenance visit, we sadly informed him that we had sold our house and one of the biggest selling feature was the beautiful lush backyard. This company designed and installed a roof garden for us. As we are not that knowledgeable about plantings and materials the project was in their hands after we described the type of feeling we would like our garden to have. We were given lots of choices of trees, bushes and flowers that fit the overall concept and would be hardy in the local climate. They brought us ideas and recommendations for pots, lighting and design details. We were really a bit overwhelmed trying to visualize how it would all turn out which added to our amazement at the beautiful end result of gorgeous color combinations, textures and the fact the whole garden filled out completely in the first season. Maintenance can be problematic but the watering system has been perfect with no overflows and the garden taken care of efficiently and quietly. The owners of this company are highly likeable, courteous with a fine artistic sense and integrity to detail. They really know about plantings and go out of their way to find great specimens. They extend themselves to be unobtrusive. including walking up a lot of stairs! Our garden is stunning and our great variety of trees, bushes, flowers and vines are all healthy and thriving. We feel lucky we stumbled on to Jeffrey and Alan as this was a project in which we really needed guidance in all areas and putting our faith in them really paid off.
