TAO Architecture + Design

We have had the pleasure of working with Ho-san Chang of TAO Architecture + Design for two home renovation projects. Ho-san's design concepts for our living room fireplace wall and kitchen renovations were refreshingly contemporary and stunningly beautiful. Our traditional brick faced fireplace was turned into a architectural statement that was reserved yet artful and timeless in its design. The major kitchen renovation as well is timeless and strikingly beautiful yet exceptionally well designed and functional. Ho-san was a pleasure to work with at every phase of this project from conceptual through completion. Ho-san was accessible and responsive throughout the project. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Ho-san and his design team if you desire non conventional architectural design for a residential project.

We engaged TAO Architecture + Design to create our multi-functional built-in wall unit for our Manhattan condominium. It was our first project working with an architect, and we were thrilled with the results. After carefully listening to our needs, Ho-San developed a design marrying high functionality with high style. Attention to detail was incredible, incorporating the existing architectural lines of our home and our modern aesthetic to the end result. We're looking forward to engaging TAO for our next project - a gut renovation of our second home.

We hired TAO to design our home. It was an amazing experience. Every detail was carefully considered. When I would say after looking at an idea, this looks great and we should go with it but I had not thought I would need x or hoped for y, they revised it and made it perfect even though it was an entire reworking. We still marvel at all the little details that make this our home.
