Jason Lees Design

Jason worked with us on designing a storage solutions for our children's playroom. He was a pleasure to work with -- had great ideas, listened to our feedback and kept us updated on the status of the project. We've been really happy with the pieces and have gotten alot of compliments on them. I would definitely hire Jason again if we need any custom furniture in the future.

I really enjoyed working with Jason to design and build a reading nook and display area for my living room. I had some basic ideas but Jason provided a lot of great feedback on the design and how to best use the space and together we decided on a solution that was both functional and aesthetically pleasing. He managed the timeline of the project really well, which from past experience can be a rarity; the piece was finished exactly according to his time estimates, in large part because he actively managed the other contractors involved (electrical, cushions, painter). He accomplished all this while remaining mindful of my budget, helping me understand the full range of options I had. It all came out beautifully and I joked with Jason that I may need to upgrade my art pieces to match the display shelves! I'd absolutely work with Jason again and definitely recommend him to others!

Jason designed and built three pieces for us--a six-drawer dresser; a queen-sized platform bed; a coffee table. The pieces are beautiful, incredibly well-made, and highly functional. We hired Jason because we were attracted to the clean lines and modern sensibility characteristic of his work. And while the pieces he produced for us were consistent with that style, Jason also was very responsive to our ideas regarding both form and function. Working with him was a very positive experience.

We are the proud owner of several pieces from Jason Lees. The first piece we fell in love with in 2010 was the horizontal wallscape. Jason bent over backwards to find the best way to have it shipped all the way to the Netherlands, Amsterdam where we live. We were so happy when it got here in one piece and it just fits perfectly on the wall in our dining room. Shortly after that we finally found coffeetables to our liking. We had been looking for years. Since shipping the wallscape went so smoothly, we had two Nimble tables shipped all the way from Oakland, California as well. They are lightweight, easy to stack and because of the three legs very handy to put anywhere without getting in the way/taking up too much space. We have them in our living room. We use one as a display table for candles and rocks and the other is being used for serving coffee and the likes. To top it off, we bought the Groove Time Clock in orange and white a year later and I have two necklaces made by Jason. The Full Moon and Moonrise Necklace. Both wear easily in summer and wintertime. It looks great with a nice white blouse or over a hand knitted cable sweater with turtle neck. Needless to say: I can highly recommend Jason Lees Design.

Having seen some of Jason Lees designs we liked what we saw and decided to hire him to design and build a console. He took time to discuss our needs. He showed us a design that he was working on. We loved it. We worked with him to pick the right wood to compliment our furniture. We now have a beautiful 72" long walnut console. It's a cool piece that looked great in our 1940's cottage for the short time we lived there and now compliments our new mid century modern home. It was a pleasure working with Jason and we plan to again in the near future.

I have been working with Jason Lees Design for just about 10 years. I love his modern, clean yet organic design aesthetic. Jason and I have collaborated on several customized pieces of furniture from media units, conference & dining tables to kitchen islands on wheels and wall mounted buffets. My design work is highly customized tailored to my client 's needs. As an experienced furniture designer Jason is able to work closely with me to help achieve my client 's design goal, providing excellent customer service along the way. He is always patient, informative and allows us to see samples and drawings until the final design is approved. All of his furniture is hand crafted by local craftsmen right here in Northern Ca., ( I really value supporting our local design community). We have had several custom pieces made over the past 15 years: TV Cabinet, Dining Room Display Cabinet, Dining Table, Bed, Bedroom Dresser, Bookcase, and Side Table. The Pieces are aesthetically pleasing and functional and look great in our home. We love the modern sensibility and the warmth of wood. Some of our pieces have painted sections as well and we appreciated the assistance with color selection. We have always returned to JLD - these pieces are timeless, high-quality and unique so while there's a coherence to them, each piece is special. Jason Lees is very professional and easy to work with. He listens to what the customer needs and then brings his combination of creativity, style, and focus on functionality. We have never been disappointed!

We finally took the plunge and bought the Recess Coffee Table from Jason Lees Design and couldn't be happier! It's such a wonderful addition to our living room, providing the perfect balance of form and function. We like the fact that it feels like we are living with a piece of art that is totally functional! On a side note, Jason Lees helped us pick out the paint for our living room, which really ties our room together.
