I had the pleasure of working with Jan McMahon Interiors for a complete home makeover and I am so happy with the outcome. From colors and fabrics to countertops and furniture. Jan has an incredible eye for detail. Her choices of fabrics and textures brought each room to life, and she made sure everything flowed smoothly from one area to the next. She helped me pick out countertops, tile, and windows that fit perfectly with the overall look. Even in the kitchen and bathrooms Jan guided me in choosing my colors, fixtures and hardware that not only looked great but made sense practically. Working with Jan was a breeze. She kept me involved throughout and now my friends and family can’t stop complimenting the whole house. I highly recommend her if you’re looking to turn your home into something amazing.

Jan and her team were wonderful and helped us through every phase of decorating our new home. She assisted us with choosing paint colors and lighting and recommended and supervised an excellent team of painters, electricians and installers. She also worked with us to determine a design style and chose furnishings to implement it throughout our home. She tracked all of our orders and managed each delivery to make sure the placements worked. When a dining room table had to be switched out, Jan handled the entire transaction. All the colors, patterns, lighting and textures work beautifully together. Our home is now a peaceful, cohesive oasis and we are so happy to recommend Jan.

Jan helped me update my kitchen/family room which was 30 yrs old and in desperate need of a facelift. We replaced dated countertops with quartzite and new flooring tile, refinished all the kitchen cabinets and bookcases in the familyroom; new paint throughout; added knobs and pulls to the cabinetry and new pendant lighting and window treatment. She has a wonderful designers eye for color, texture and complimentary elements to bring the room together. She listens to what you like and don't like and is not afraid of pointing out potential problems in your material selections when needed, which is greatly appreciated. I am delighted with the result and could not recommend her highly enough. 5 stars are not enough!

Jan (along with her wonderful assistant, Donna) was incredibly helpful in guiding us through some design decisions and furniture sourcing during our remodel. She was attuned to our needs as a family with young children and knew exactly what we needed during this phase of our lives. Jan saved our project! She has a strong Project Manager's sensibility and got right to the task of bringing together disparate pieces. The end result was more than we had hoped for when we called. We bought our house during COVID and had a huge remodel ahead of us. Jan has been instrumental in helping me choose everything from kitchen stone/backsplash to light fixtures and furniture and area rugs. Remodeling a house during COVID has presented new challenges and Jan made each one that much easier. She scheduled all our appointments necessary and ensured that all my items were delivered in a timely fashion. Jan has a great eye. She knows exactly how to piece everything together in a cohesive manner. She understood my design priorities and helped me stay on track to make sure that look was ultimately achieved. Jan works closely with the design mart in SJ and SF, you have a number of vendors to choose from when you choose to work with her. She has extensive knowledge in her field along with great vendors to recommend along the way. I'm so happy I chose Jan to help turn our house into our dream home.

We hired Jan to help us with a whole house remodel. She asked us to show her inspiration pictures. Once she saw our style she helped us with all aspects of the remodel. She was spot on with her direction and choices and helped us create a beautiful home. Jan has great connections with subcontractors including helping us with the contractor who did the work. I began working with Jan several months ago after my kitchen/dining and family room was remodeled. Not only did Jan help me purchase gorgeous custom furniture for my living room and dining room, she helped me pick out interior and exterior paint colors, pulls/knobs for my kitchen cabinets, subway tile for my backsplash, and new interior and exterior lighting. Jan helped me pull together my house so that it looks sophisticated yet very comfortable. She never steered me wrong and was thoughtful in her suggestions and recommendations. Jan's amazing design eye tied it all together for a cohesive look. I'm so proud of my new house and everyone that has come over loves what we did. Excellent with paint colors, soft warm beach colors that work well together. Tile expert, originality, unique and creative. Lighting specialist. Has a classic modern touch. Works well with her customers by listening to their ideas. Great sense of how furniture fits into a space. Knowledgeable about exterior design as well - roofing, siding, rock, paint, etc. Good eye for layout of kitchens and what is most functional. Would hire her again and again and again.
