Very Professional team, great complete renovation and structural work (especially good joinery). They know how to deal with heritage buildings and were very easy to work with throughout. Would thoroughly recommend for all kinds of projects.

We live in a quirky Georgian tenement and wanted to work with a joiner/builders who had the experience of renovating period properties. We felt James listened to our ideas and came up with particle solutions which helped us to realise our lovely new shower room. We supplied our own shower unit, Leroy and Brooks taps, antique mirror and 1960's Bernadette wall lights. James co-ordinated his team of highly skilled tradesman as they gutted and remodelled the room, plastered, tiled and fitted the sink and shower, electrics, and repaired shutters and floor boards and installed a new combie boiler. The communication was good and the men were on time and cleared up after the work. John was especially a star. We have since recommended Banns to friends and are considered getting them back to do phase 2 of our flat renovation.

We hired James and his team to carry out a major renovation on an older property we had bought, James took care of everything for us, always with a smile, nothing was too much trouble and everything possible. The workmanship was to a high standard and his team are a credit to Bann Joinery, some of the nicest guys we have ever worked with. We are delighted with the end result, a massive thank you for making a stressful few months an exciting time for us!

James and his team were professional, efficient, skilled and pleasant from start to finish. I would certainly recommend BANN joinery and building as we were very pleased with the work that they did for us at the club. We knew that we were going to enjoy working with James and his team as soon as we met him and he also came up with some great ideas to redesign our brasserie bar and serving area. We had a very quick turn around of 48hrs but the team worked tirelessly to get the job completed on time. We have used Bann J&B for the installation of new security lighting and joinery work. The work was carried out to a high standard with quality advice. The price was acceptable and throughout the work they kept the property clean and tidy. They gave advice on options for the lighting and this proved very valuable in us getting a high quality end product. We have also sought quotations for other building work which were promptly addressed but as yet have not proceeded pending architect discussions.

James and his team have completed a few projects for me ranging from fitting an entire kitchen to fitting doors and installing a loft hatch with ramsay ladder. All work has been cokpleted on time, on budget and to the highest standard. From the moment James comes to price the work required through to completion, him and his staff are friendly and polite. I am planning an extension to my house next year and will not hesitate to use James and Bann Joinery to complete this project for me.

New kitchen fitted, awkward space and required the room to be taken back to the brick and rewired, plumbed, plastered etc. Wanted a company who would organise everything so it was easy for me. Excellent customer service from James, the tradesmen on site were great with fantastic attention to detail. Everyone involved a pleasure to deal with and nothing was too much trouble. Flat was kept tidy during the work and I felt comfortable with people in the property when I wasn't there. Decorators did a lovely job of kitchen and hall. Absolutely delighted with finished kitchen. It is beautiful!

Bann Joinery initially started out fitting a new kitchen for me, but the job rapidly grew to include several other tasks, which I added in as I was so impressed with their skills. I have previously dealt with other kitchen fitters who were really just sales-people with a bunch of sub-contractors behind them, of variable quality, but Bann's are actually skilled craftsmen who can discuss knowledgably what you want. As this was an old property, it was inevitable that strange quirks would appear, such as walls not being true etc, but they dealt with all of these and suggested practical solutions. Their core skill is joinery, although they do also provide plumbing and electricians etc, and I was particularly impressed with a bespoke window seat that they built with cupboards underneath. Their planning was excellent, and I was always kept informed about what work would be done on each day, and who would be doing it. Communication was always prompt and friendly, including any problems that needed to be dealt with. And importantly, the guys doing the job were lovely to have around - very friendly and courteous, and professional at all times. Whenever problems or misunderstandings arose, as is inevitable on building projects, these were quickly sorted out. I would highly recommend this company.

Bann Joinery and Building completed a complete flat renovation for us in 2015. The project converted an Edinburgh tenement flat from a one bed to a two bed. There was significant rearrangement of walls, including the installation of structural steels, to create a new open plan kitchen/dining/living room. Additionally, a new kitchen was sourced, installed and plumbed as was a new bathroom. All aspects of the work were completed to a very high standard and very quickly. Our entire project was completed in just 5 weeks. In addition to the quality of the work completed, James always kept the paperwork (plans, building warrant, invoices etc.) up to date and in order, removing any potential headaches for us! Overall, we found James and the rest of Bann's staff to be highly professional and easy to deal with. I'd happily recommend their services.

Helpful, professional and managed work on roof changes, windows, bookcase making and fitting, all to highest standards and did other tasks without question.

I hired Bann Joinery last year to create an atrium for me by removing an old cupola and replacing it with a structural glass floor. It was an unusual project and not without unforeseen complications. James and his team were a pleasure to deal with throughout the project and were always amenable to listening to any issues which I wanted to discuss. I hired them again this year in order to fit a landscape window replacing the 2 small windows which previously looked onto said atrium. I am delighted with the outcome of their work and plan to hire them again for future projects.
