Interior Deluxe

I'm writing about Interior Deluxe/Euro Lights. I've had an ongoing saga with them, trying to get delivery on two orders I'd made in June 2022, a $1200 floor lamp and a $200 magazine rack. Still no delivery, no meaningful contact. The story was always -- they're on a boat to the U.S. and they didn't know when they would arrive. During harder times with COVID, I cut them some slack thinking there might have been some truth to that story. But the story never changed, until it turned into unanswered phone calls and email messages. No contact at all. It's a long story. i have the emails and the notes. BUT, I just looked up Interior Deluxe again, expecting they might now be out of business, and is that true? Couldn't find Interior Deluxe and Euro Lights is said to be permanently closed. I wonder if it's possible to file a claim against a closed company? But I don't know their status. it's hard to even pin down where the offices are. I did eventually speak with the manufacturer of one of the items I'd ordered. He was kind enough to send the missing floor lamp directly to me using their own contacts, not waiting for my own order with Interior Deluxe. And last time I spoke with this manager, he said they were no longer partnering with Interior Deluxe. I've never experienced anything like it - My order was for a $1,200 floor lamp and a $200 magazine rack. I've talked to three Better Business Bureau offices trying to track down the administrative offices of I.D. It's tricky because the company had a few different addresses listed. I haven't been able to make contact with any of them, and the people I'd spoken to at the BBB had not heard of the store. I didn't file an official BBB review partly because it's somewhat unclear which office I'd need to file with, and because I would have had to provide personal information, that in this case didn't feel safe. Such a rotten and costly experience!

Do not order anything from this company, they are careless and incompetent and don’t care about customers. I ordered two lights at the end of 2021 for $1944.00, in May of 2022, I received two wrong and unrelated items, after sending pictures, multiple calls and emails, I finally received a UPS tag to return the items after two weeks. It’s now September, after lots of emails, lots of phone calls and Voicemails, they still have not returned my money, I have now dispirited the charge and asked Master Card to refund my money, they have been trying to investigate for a month. These guys are fast to charge your card and you have to force a refund from them. Their accounting department is nonexistent and their owner must be a careless person who doesn’t know the fundamentals of doing business. Whatever you do, don’t give them your credit card number. I have given them one star because that was the minimum that there was, they should in reality get (-10) stars for “extremely bad” company.

Perhaps my mistake in ordering from this company, Interior Deluxe, was in thinking that when I ordered a sofa online, it would not be delivered to the curb, which it was. Perhaps this mistake was in thinking that when I paid four figures in US dollars when ordering a sofa online, it would not be delivered to the curb in several boxes and not assembled. Perhaps this mistake was also in thinking that when said company noted on its website that I would have said sofa at my abode (or at least close to it) in 6-8 weeks, when it took eleven and a half weeks for the sofa to be delivered to the curb. I will compliment the customer assistance person I spoke with on the day of delivery, when I discovered that said sofa would be delivered to said curb; she was very nice, but she assured me that the people who arranged the shipping had no idea that said sofa was going to a residence, since on Google maps, my address seems to be a business. I can't imagine that a business would want to receive a sofa late, in pieces, and on the curb, even if it hadn't been raining. Not satisfying. Received sofa yesterday after ordering on August 16 (this year). may simply arrange boxes into sofa-like configuration and consider myself lucky to have learned such a valuable lesson. I shall not order from this establishment again.

I purchased a pair of Artemide Basic Strip sconces from Interior Deluxe. When I installed the fixtures it turned out that one had a bad ballast. I emailed customer service to see about getting a warranty replacement as Artemide has a 5 year warranty. Artemide promised to send a new ballast which is little help as that would require rebuilding the whole fixture. Interior Deluxe has shipped out a new fixture at their expense to make it right. Thank you Interior Deluxe. I look forward to purchasing from you again.

We had some challenges with getting my lights, but they went a long way to make it right. Service was rendered in November 2014. Dealt with manager, who was very responsive.
