Thanks route 1 moving company. They provided Excellent customer service and packed and loaded all of my boxes, furniture without damaging nothing. They were on time and sent 5 people (really 6 with Jacob) when we were supposed to get just a 4 man crew. They were professional and worked through one of the hottest days of the year and a horrendous thunder storm, and got the job done! Thanks to the team!!

Jacob and Hannah, and the whole Route 1 Movers family are excellent! We loved working with them on multiple moves, and appreciated the family feel. It was clear they cared about us and making sure that the move was successful. They often times worked hard to figure out the best dates for us, even when it didn't always line up with their schedules. I phoned Rt 1 Movers on a Thursday evening last week. I was in a panic. What I thought I could easily accomplish with a couple of teenagers over weekend became clearly impossible when the kids canceled as they do & my new building does not allow any move in or out on weekends! I needed my home put together for Mother’s Day & the walls were still lined with full boxes from my move in several months ago. I had the unfortunate addition of a flood from several floors above me damage my brand new wood floors, & they were finally going to do the repairs several months later. I phoned several companies before I tried Rt 1. I like to use locally owned business when I can, we all must help each other out is my personal belief. After three no thanks, too small of a job...etcetera, Jacob from Rt 1 Woodbridge answered my call. He was immediately kind & understanding. Asked exactly what I needed, what I needed to have happen, and when. Within a few minutes he assured me he would take care of my move. He calmed me down & calmly told me what he could do. I told him I lived in a secure building so I had to move the next day-the Friday of a holiday weekend! He said he and a colleague would take care of it himself! I told him 10 boxes needed to be moved to a local storage unit. Public Storage on Jefferson Davis Hwy we’re also extremely helpful. Once Jacob spoke to them it felt like they worked as a team. Jacob & Steven were kind, accommodating and most of all friendly. They immediately came in and told me not to worry as I had run out of tape & time & nerves!! From the moment Jacob & Steven walked into my home my worries were over. I went quickly to the storage unit to make all payment arrangements. When I returned, Jacob and Steven were done! They had taped up my boxes, taken all with a “yes” note left on them & were just waiting for me to do a walk thru to confirm they had everything I wanted gone...GONE, & it was! Thank You Rt 1!!! This was only about 30 minutes later! They completed the entire job, taped up boxes, grabbed quite a few extra items I had forgotten about, and headed to Public Storage. Jacob said to stay home & relax, he would phone if there was any problems. There were absolutely ZERO problems of course!! He sent me a video of my beautifully stacked & lined up boxes in my storage unit, locked it up & left the keys with the storage company’s staff. Easy! So EASY, and because it wasn’t a big job, he did not charge me the normal flat rate. After a small deposit on Thursday, on Friday 70 minutes after the walked in my door I paid them & Thanked them and melted into my sofa & admired my beautiful organized home! Thank You Jason & Steven! I would "highly" recommend Route 1 Movers for your next home and/or office move. Mr. Jacob and his team are very professional at all times. There "on time" and come ready to work hard and get the job done! All the moving materials are included in the price, to include bubble wrapping, boxes, quilts and tapes. The wardrobe boxes have to be returned, but that's good because after the move you want all boxes gone. My fiancé and I have been moved twice this year and both times were outstanding, due to Route 1 Movers. After your move, Mr.. Jacobs will call his customers, to assure you were satisfied with the move and finding items in excellent condition. Hats off to Route 1 Movers for a GREAT Job every time!

Jacob and his team were extremely professional and courteous to me and my family. They worked non-stop for 2 straight days through 8 inches of snow and never complained once. All of our belingings were professionally wrapped, packed, and loaded without a single item being damaged. Moving is very stressful but the Route 1 Movers team made feel relaxed and confident through the entire process. My family would highly recommend Route 1 Movers to anyone in the NoVA area !!

All I can truly say about Jacob Route 1 Moving Company is he and his team did an outstanding job with my move this week from Woodbridge VA to Laurel Maryland. The attention to every detail and customer service was exceptional. My wife was so pleased with the entire team professionalism that she said the next time we move Jacob’s moving company will be the first person we call. Jacob and his guys were amazing. From the very start, I knew my parents would be in good hands. Jacob explained everything, how it worked, what would happen, and how he would take care of us. He was flexible when we did not know for sure because of Hurricane Florence when the POD with the furniture would arrive. He told us no matter what day it arrived, he would be there with his guys and get my parents moved in to their new place. I literally called him the morning the POD was delivered and they were there 2 hours later to start moving things in. He and his guys were friendly, responsive to our needs, got the stuff in quickly, set the bed up, made sure the adjustable bed would go up and down, tightened any bolts, screws or whatever on furniture that needed adjustments, and did any and everything we asked for the move. Jacob was even willing to come back and get any boxes and packing materials the next day. One phone call was all it took. I have only good things to say about Route 1 Movers. Totally would recommend them and when we are ready to move in 4 or 5 years for retirement, Jacob and Route 1 Movers are the ones that I will call.
