A true independent, The Original Tile Company has been under the same ownership for over 18 years. Offering possibly the finest selection of specialist tiles in Scotland, sourced from around the world, our passions lie in craftsmanship and quality. From single artist’s studios in Scotland, to quarries in Brazil, via Spain, Portugal and Italy, we have developed our collection to offer you the best in both traditional and contemporary style. You can choose from a vast selection of stone, terracotta, ceramic wall and floor tiles, glass and mosaic. Our experienced staff are always available to discuss your requirements, and we offer a design service at very competitive rates. As well as what you see on our website, we offer a wide range of bespoke services; hand painting and printing tiles to order, sandblasting images onto glass and stone, worktops in glass, resin and limestone, bespoke mosaics in either marble or glass and historical reproductions of wall and floor tiles. As one of Scotland’s largest importers of stone tiles, ceramic floor tiles, terracotta and mosaics, we are happy to supply retail customers, architects, designers and trade. I had a fairly extensive job covering 2 bathrooms, a cloakroom and a vestibule. I found Miles' experience, advice and guidance very valuable. He took a fair amount of time helping with designs, colours and obtaining samples. Yes, I'd thoroughly recommend.

The Original Tile Company always has a great selection of beautiful quality tiles. Friendly and helpful service making it easy to order what you need for your project. I've bought tiles from them before and it would be the first place i'd go to the next time I need tiles.

I think the Marlborough Vintage Tulle tiles - although a little bit more expensive than machine-made tiles - were a winning combination coupled with the black slate. Product as expected was of great quality and looks fantastic now in place. Great service from Miles when the supplier's delivery company were being awkward. He circumvented any potential hassle and collected tiles from their depot and delivered personally. The extra effort was much appreciated.

Very good service from highly experienced tile company. Very good range of quality tiles. Friendly very knowledgeable advice, owner came to our property to advise our specific requirements without charge.

We bought our tiles for our Moroccan themed bathroom project from The Original Tile Company in Edinburgh. We visited the tile shop with a mood board and concept ideas for producing a Moroccan themed bathroom, from which owner Miles provided wonderful ideas to help create a bathroom with the wow factor! We were really keen to incorporate a star on our tiled bathroom wall and Miles made this happen. Thank you so much for your enthusiasm, expert advice, support and suggestions. We're extremely pleased with the service from The Original Tile Company, so much so that we now have placed an order for further tiles for our kitchen project! Thank you.
