Clients may also choose to use one of the many contractors I have successfully worked with on past projects. I love working with Michael. Not only is his work great and creative, he is also very easy to work with. When he is in charge of one of our house projects, I appreciate he is on time, on budget and efficient. When we hire him to complete a space in our house, he makes it easy for my wife and I to make decisions and it always ends up making the house more enjoyable and user friendly. I highly recommend him.

Michael is a talented, designer dedicated to providing quality work for each of his clients. When He remodeled my entire upstairs, I asked that he add a bathroom, a bedroom and a laundry room. Michael dipped into his trove of ideas, utilized his excellent drawing skills, and Miraculously created a warm, beautiful space that included the requested rooms. Since then, Michael’s designed a number of projects for me, including his latest, a guest bath.. He expanded tha space visually so it feels doubles the actual size. The tile Michael selected is unusual, fits the space perfectally and creats a breathtaking visual impact. As he has always done with our projects, Michael translated my ideas and personal style into a reality that was better than any design I could have imagined. Sent from my iPhone

I bought my condominium through the eyes of a couple of friends and purchased sight it unseen. I was living in Florida with plans to move to San Diego and needed a designer to jump start my remodel. I hired Michael Ranson as my designer and he was a tremendous help; he selected the wood flooring from a picture I sent and proceeded to have several other options available for me to see upon my arrival. He accompanied me on many shopping trips such as granite selection, bathroom hardware etc. He helped me to place all of my art. I would not have this special condominium without Michael's help and expertise and I thought his fees were very reasonable. Thank you - 5 stars for you, Michael.

Michael was great to work with. Not only did he do the complete design for our kitchen remodel, he coordinated all the contractors and material suppliers for us since we were out of town during much of the construction. He was great in assisting us with the selection of tile, quartz counter tops, appliances and the design of custom cabinets. Michael was very attentive during the entire process and we loved the final product.

Michael redesigned my kitchen and connecting great room area, and he also did the interior decorating. Additionally, he selected the appliances. He did a superb job, transforming a 60 year old tired kitchen into a stunningly modern kitchen and connecting great room. He has great ideas and is extremely easy to work with. I was gone much of the time to Chicago, so Michael handled much of the coordination with contractors himself. When necessary, he emailed me photos to facilitate decisions. He is a talented interior decorator and designer, a truly reliable professional who has excellent contacts and subcontractors. Michael is an excellent planner and coordinator, so there are no surprises. I recommend him without reservation.

There is nothing more rewarding than having a designer understand and utilize our product to create a gorgeous home. Michael Ranson did a phenomenal job using our ceramic tile indoor and transitioning that pattern into our concrete tile outside. The flow is fantastic. He uses different shapes and patterns with the same color in a clever way to bring each room to life. His attention to detail and continuity makes meandering through this home a pleasure. The use of our hand-painted deco tiles for the stair risers gives the steps a pop of color that works well in this masculine Mediterranean style home. We look forward to collaborating more with Mr. Ranson as he delves more into his creative designs.

Having ARTO provide me with appropriate literature and full size samples was a great help as well when working with my client. Those, along with drawings of the space, really allowed them to see on paper, and in samples, what the finished project would look like.

We recently completed a five month long remodel on our home. It was a major project and a big financial commitment. We wanted to build our dream home but also wanted keep within our budget. In the beginning, we debated using a design professional. Fortunately, we listened to our friends who were using Michael on their project and enlisted his services. It was the best decision! Michael was instrumental during the design and construction phases of our remodel. Now, he is helping us with the interior decorating. Michael's knowledge, creativity and professionalism are incredible. The construction process was overwhelming at first but Michael's expertise helped keep us focused and most importantly, on budget. Michael carefully listened to what our family's needs were and helped transform our home into exactly what we were hoping to accomplish with our remodel. We couldn't be happier with the results!

We are currently doing a kitchen expansion and remodel. Michael has been great to work with from the beginning of our project. A few years ago we began thinking about how to make our kitchen more functional for our family. Based on a friend's recommendation, we spoke with Michael, and he helped us work through whether we could utilize the current footprint are if we needed to expand. His ideas and initial drawings helped us understand the scope of the project and get a better sense of what we wanted to accomplish with our remodel. Once we decided to add square footage, we took a break to save up for the bigger project. When we were ready to move forward, Michael stepped back in and helped refine our ideas and work out the details. We have been working from the detailed CAD drawings he provided to the contractor. We meet via phone or in person regularly to insure everything from the exact placement of lighting to the way the cabinets meet the wall are coming along as planned. I have had some very strong opinions about the way this kitchen will look and function from the beginning, but once we got into the nitty gritty of making some of these decisions, it has been so nice to have a professional on board. Michael helps me keep track of my initial vision when things start to get crazy in the midst of construction. He notices details that I, being new to remodeling, would not. His attention to detail and commitment to making sure things have been done right has been invaluable as we go through this process. He has also been great about fitting in meetings or helping with decisions when it suddenly needs to be done "right now." When I can't quite picture what we're talking about, Michael will find pictures on Houzz to help me visualize what I'm making a decision about. I can't say enough great things about working with Michael on our project. I can't wait to come back and post some pictures when it's completed!!

I had told my wife the galley kitchen could never be changed to have an island instead. Michael proposed a design after discussing our needs and he proved me wrong with a fabulous design that has made working in the kitchen a real pleasure. He made recommendations but did not dictate how the kitchen had to look. In fact he went beyond the kitchen into the family room suggesting changes to the flooring and window coverings. He was great to work with and advised us during the construction since I performed the general contracting. He could have done that too but I wasn't going to let him have all the fun. He recommended the style of a table for the family room side of the island which my wife and I found in a local furniture store. Also, since we could not find the hutch we liked he designed one for the cabinet maker who did a fantastic job of constructing it. The kitchen is awesome due to Michael's design. Entertaining and just working in it is such an improvement over what had been there thanks to Michael.

Michael is the consummate designer. He is respectful, honest, reliable,punctual, budget conscious and extremely knowledgeable. His attention to detail is a huge asset and was extremely helpful to us during our remodel. Michael took much of the stress out of our remodel and the result of his work has given us much joy ever since. Some of what Michael excels at and what he helped us with is exterior and interior painting, flooring, windows and doors and window and door coverings, staircase design ,lighting, excellent small space design and furnishings of all kinds.

Highly recommend! Michael designed our kitchen in our full house remodel. He was able to take all of our thoughts and ideas and create a beautiful design that was so much more than we could have done on our own. He was so great at guiding me to really understand what I wanted and loved and then executing that for us. It is such a comfort when remodeling and decorating to know that Michael was making sure we were making good choices and avoiding costly mistakes. In addition to beautiful design, he was awesome at ensuring all of the sub contractors were providing top work -often catching things we would have missed. Besides having impeccable taste, he is so FUN to work with and is always so enthusiastic and supportive. We are now working on redecorating our current home with Michael and - again - he is so thoughtful about how best to use our budget to get what we want. It gives us such confidence and our home already is so much more functional and easier to live in! Working with Michael makes the design process fun and not overwhelming - and my house is now a reflection of my taste but better thanks to him! :) We also appreciate that we always have clear understanding of costs and timelines and have never had any problems with anything Michael has created for us.
