Allied Lighting

We couldn't be more pleased with our experience with the staff at Allied Lighting. We were embarking on a major renovation of our home, and we needed expert advice on lighting design as well as light selections. First we visited their store location and received a great introduction to basic lighting design from one of the owners, David Eisenberg. Allied is the only lighting store that we know of in Southern Calif. that offers a lighting "laboratory" in which they've staged several types of rooms with example lighting designs so that you can see first-hand the differences and effects of different lighting schemes. David patiently went through the different design options so that we could make better informed decisions for what we wanted for our home. David then visited our home and assessed the spacing of the different areas of our home and came up with a suggested lighting design, including optimal locations and number of recessed cans in our living areas. David and his staff then helped us with the different lighting vendors and pricing. From what I can tell based on my research, their pricing is competitive and for certain lighting selections, they were able to match online pricing. Lighting design and vendor selection can easily be overwhelming, and without expert advice, you can easily overspend or make major mistakes such as incorrect placement of recessed cans, too little (or too much) lighting, etc. Allied Lighting helped us avoid the common pitfalls in lighting design and selection, and we couldn't be happier with our experience with Allied Lighting!

The family owned lighting company is small and effective. here is plenty of experience on the design and the construction end.

I have known and worked with David Hertzberg of Allied Lighting for approximately 25 years. I can say I have learned more from him about lighting than anyone other lighting expert. Every job we have worked on together, even my own projects for which he consulted, have had satisfied customers. And the best part are the referrals which come after the finished products. A referral is as good as a 5 star rating. David will always be my "go to" guy.

What an amazing place! In their lab you can see what your home will look like inside and out and learn about types of lighting. LED wad used around my house and the result is awesome. My energy bill was reduced 30-50% and the stay cool in the hot weather. Also they never need replacing. You must check them out before investing in any lighting.

The lighting and design consultation experience was exceptional! Not only did I feel included in the process, they actually understood my concerns, and made me feel comfortable with my decision.

Rob Hertzberg at Allied Lighting gave us very professional advice, design and install. We are extremely happy with the rooms he did for us!
