We chose John to help us with a whole house remodel/substantial addition to our 1950's ranch home. We had started the project with another architect who was unable to come up with a design that worked for us. John listened carefully to our goals for the project and quickly came up with a design that captured everything we had told him we needed to change about the house. He worked well with our chosen builder and provided a design that was realistic with our budget. His office staff was highly professional and easy to work with. We love the results and have received numerous compliments from friends and neighbors. We highly recommend John and his firm.

John and his associates did an excellent job of conceiving a renovation and expansion of an old home. They worked with us and our chosen builder to integrate the "new" with the "old". I would encourage anyone to select them to do an addition and renovation together. John brought a completely different set of design ideas from what we had initially thought we would do. These ideas proved to be innovative and made the whole house much better.

We had among the most challenging assignments for John. Our house was badly burned in a house fire. The insurance company insisted on repairing rather than rebuilding. John and Kevin had little to start with other than sketches and a floor plan used for marketing by the builder. We had several very focused and well organized meetings where John took us through our needs, wants and wishes. Our new builder ran into numerous framing faults left by the original builder which had to be corrected. John and Kevin were highly responsive and came up with many innovative solutions. This resulted in not only a stronger house, but with fewer columns intruding into the living space. In addition we were able to add a full height, conditioned attic that now serves as storage freeing up space in the basement and garage. One of our wishes was a balcony off the master suite. John and Kevin worked up several designs with the winner giving us a spectacular view of our back acreage at a very reasonable cost. The house gets rave reviews from our friends and neighbors and we have a much better house as a result.

John is doing a great job working on architectural design drawings. We like the flexibility and broad range of his support services.

We had been working with another architect for a couple of months and ended up letting them go out of frustration, lack of sensible plans and no idea of budgeting. John came as a recommendation from a business associate who had used him in their remodel. From the first meeting he listened carefully and understood what we wanted. He took our wish list and transformed it into a working beautiful design that made sense. He went in a completely different direction than the previous architect had done and was able to get everything we wanted out of the remodel. Budget was an important consideration, and he was able to ballpark the differing options he presented. Then when we made a decision, and finalized the details, he accurately told us the overall cost of the remodel. Honestly not a day goes by when I don't look at our new kitchen and think of how happy I am we did the addition and how much I love cooking in it. We get compliments all of the time when people first see it. (He did the whole house, but I especially love the kitchen - and our new master bathroom!) I would highly recommend John for anyone looking for an architect. He was very professional, has great ideas and was a pleasure to work with from start to finish.

John was able to put together a plan that tackled some challenging transitions yet maintained the style of the existing house and added significant functional space.
