Heather and Fred Studios provided a custom mirror that was to match a built-in desk unit that sat in the client's master bedroom. They followed another fabricators directions and specification as provided by me as well as coordinated with that fabricator. So, they are a wonderful direct source for custom furniture or for being part of another fabricator's team! They completed the item on time and per all specifications. Heather and Fred were recommended by our interior designer. We needed several pieces of furniture (media center and storage, book cases and display shelves, and bar unit with storage) for a family room remodel project. Both our needs and space constraints were very specific. We were impressed with their professionalism, thoughtfulness, creativity, and their attention to detail. Added bonus? They are very nice. Heather and Fred are dedicated, talented craftsmen. They offer wonderful advice--for example, they suggested that we mix Italian rift oak (we were unfamiliar with this) with alder for our pieces. Brilliant! Their finished product is beautiful and functional, and the extra effort they put into their furniture is obvious. We are delighted with their work, and we recommend them to anyone interested in having custom furniture built for their home.

This is my second time working with Heather and Fred. In 2013 they did a black walnut and maple entertainment center for our family room. The current project involved three pieces in cherry: a desk, a curio cabinet & a lighted art pedestal. It is a wonderful experience collaborating with two very creative people when doing custom projects. For example, we could not find the right drawer pulls for the desk or the curio cabinet. So Fred knew what I wanted and he was able to make them. Looks perfect!!! They always strive for a quality look and will give input that I appreciated. It is hard to find a couple that is willing to go the extra mile to bring their clients extraordinarily beautiful pieces of custom furniture. If that is what you want then Heather & Fred will not disappoint.

These guys are amazing at what they do. They make sure the job is done properly. Even when they referred us to an outside source they were concerned with the quality that was provided to us. They have worked with us and what we needed and prices are great too. Can not recommend Fred and Heather enough. Very talented people. I will definitely be working with them again.

Heather and Fred operate the type of business that makes you want to continue working with them. By keeping us in the loop, we knew exactly where our projects stood. The entire process from concept meetings to design and delivery was extremely professional. They were able to develop our ideas beyond our expectations. Working closely with their supplier, they obtained the perfect burl for our 3 living room pieces. A simple table for the bathroom was elevated by their suggestion to use iroko wood. In addition to working well with wood, their knowledge and use of metal and glass combined for wonderful, functional works of art. We look forward to working with them on several more pieces for our home.

As the supplier of the wood veneer that Heather and Fred Studios uses, we are more than pleased with their workmanship and the end result of our veneer. The certainly do the wood product justice. They are also very easy to work with as a customer.

My wife and I commissioned Heather and Fred Studios to craft and install an entertainment cabinet for our home. We were looking for an elegant but understated piece, functional in design, making a statement omitting the TV as the focal point of the room. The finished piece is beautiful and the fit to the existing structure is flawless. Overall we couldn’t be more pleased, and we look forward to working with Heather and Fred in the near future.

Heather and Fred came highly recommended by our interior decorator - who has worked with them on several projects with great reviews. When we contacted them, Heather and Fred offered clear expertise and a deep appreciation for their craft. They helped us design a table that's elegant, simple, and matches our home perfectly - and they didn't skimp on providing thought leadership and innovative ideas. We bought a raw slab of walnut, which they carefully (and patiently!) coaxed into an amazing table. What I learned in the process is - managing this type of slab is not for beginners... and Heather and Fred did it perfectly. It is a work of art! In addition to the end result being above and beyond - Heather and Fred are both professional and easy to work with. Rarely do you find artists and craftspeople of this caliber. We look forward to working with them on our next project.

Easy to work with, excellent project and technical skills and a terrific product that met all the needs I specified. I give these folks outstanding marks based on the result but also on the open and collaborative way in which the product evolved from idea to design through construction and installation. They have gone out of their way to make this a pleasant experience with and outstanding end result!

Heather and Fred Studios are talented finish carpenters. This husband and wife team are creative, respectful and have high quality craftsmanship. As an architect needing something for my own home, I am sure I was a little high maintenance, but they were gracious and easy to work with through the whole process. They were receptive to my design goals, added important knowledge where I needed it and competitively priced. They are a treasure and I will be referring as much work to them as I can. It would be great if they could grow their business, as I can tell they are highly sought after!
