Heartland Wood Floors has taken care of our flooring needs for 20 years. We are 100% satisfied with every job, from small threshold insertions to new flooring in an addition to the house, most recently sanding and refinishing for our dining room and kitchen floors. No job is too small or too big for Heartland Wood Floors. Our house was built in 1954 with solid oak floors throughout. It is not possible to distinguish between the new work from the original 72-year-old flooring.

Excellent work, quickly and efficiently accomplished! They finished ahead of time and did a great job on everything. Dust was a bit more than expected, but the job required sanding and re-finishing a wood floor, so some dust was expected

I used Heartland Wood Floors in 2015, and I encountered several issues back then. This included one day when I came home from school, and the workers had left a kitchen window open when it was in the upper 90's with very high humidity. They let stain spill over onto my carpet just outside the kitchen. And on the final day, I had to leave to go to school before they finished, and I asked them to leave through the garage door so they could lock the front door. They left the front door unlocked. So in 2020, I went with a different company, but I didn't like the quality of work on the floor itself as much as in 2015. In 2025, I decided to go back to Heartland Wood Floors. This experience was totally different. The young man who did the work was exceptionally neat, never left windows open or doors unlocked. Clayton called me several days after the work was done, and I had a few concerns about the floor. By the very next morning, another person came out and took care of those concerns. Then after cleaning the floor for the first time, there were a few places where something had spilled on the floor and the Bona was not able to clean it up. I called Clayton, and again by the next morning he had another person come out and used a different cleaning product on it which worked beautifully. Your customer service has greatly improved over the past 10 years.

We called Heartland Wood Floors to get an estimate to refinish our floor in the family. The flooring had been previously covered with carpet. The floor was solid oak, but had been severely stained in many places. Heartland came out a gave us an estimate to refinish the flooring assuring us that it could be saved. Fast forwarding to the end of the job the floor came out great! The crew was fast and efficient in getting the job done, and helped with picking out the stain that would best fit. At the end of every day the crew was there, the office called to follow up on the progress and our level of satisfaction. They really cared! Bottom Line: Heartland Wood Floors is an extremely professional organization that delivers what they promise in a timely manner. I would highly recommend them for all of your flooring needs!

You built our wood floors 27 years ago - and now you built the wood floors in our living room. This seemed like it would be a challenging project - as the living room floor transitioned from two existing 27-year-old floors. The kitchen and the back hallway wood floors are on either side of the living room. Your work and attention to detail is amazing! You would never be able to identify where the new starts and the old floor ends. Everything is beautifully done, with much care. We highly recommend Heartland Wood Floors. Heartland Wood Floors is our "go to" for any wood flooring needs. When we built our house, they installed our kitchen and dining room wood floors and did a fabulous job. We had them return last year when we decided to replace our living room carpet with hardwood floors and once again, we had them return to replace the carpet in the second master bedroom this month. I’m not someone to normally write reviews, but I felt so compelled to write this one. I can not recommend Heartland Wood Floors enough. I had a 22 year old red oak wood floor that had gotten very yellow/orange over the years and also a lot of areas that had gotten damaged from water and, an unfortunate case of oven cleaner…a huge dark spot I didn’t think would ever come out. I literally could not believe my eyes when Heartland got done with my floor. I think I was almost speechless. It looks brand new and absolutely beautiful. I couldn’t be happier! The team was wonderful and so professional. From Dan who did the estimate, Carol who provided me with thorough information on the process, Clayton who called each day to update me and was so kind and explained how the week would go, giving me updates each morning or afternoon. Then there was Dave, who did the majority of work on my floors and did such an INCREDIBLE job!!! And also Josh who helped him! Dave listened to everything I said and he worked so hard, it was such a big floor to sand and he aimed for perfection. When I wanted to see additional colors that might work, he came up with those as well. I couldn’t believe how my floor looked when he got done sanding it - like brand new and the major oil spots and water damage were GONE. There was only one small area near the fridge where the wood was just too far gone, and they did an amazing job replacing it, you would never know. I ended up going with a natural, clear finish on my red oak floors and it’s so light and softer than before and I love it! Finally, Terry came out and did an amazing job with the last coat and buffing the floor, and it’s so smooth now and just perfect. The entire process went smooth, so well done from communication, to the quality of work, everything. Oh also - hardly any dust in my house to clean up! Amazing! I am so grateful to them. The crew did a wonderful job of refinishing the floor. Great communication. However, we were disappointed that more wasn’t done to protect against dust accumulation in the house. Dust free sanding is a misnomer. Also, leaving oil spots on the driveway from leaky trucks should be addressed.

Having your tired hardwood floors refinished is not an easy process but worth the time, energy and expense. The outcome is terrific and the dust was minimal the staff did a great job

Heartland Wood Floors has installed wood floors in the entire downstairs of our house. They were very good at helping us decide on the placement of the floor. Some are at a diagonal and it flows together beautifully. . The stain needed to be redone in one room and they quickly and without any fuss, redid the stain. This was even after I had paid in full! I recommend them. We have done this project in stages and never hesitated to call them back.

If you’re in the market for hardwood flooring, I recommend Heartland. The job took about 2 weeks and the results were exceptional. Be prepared to have your furniture moved or stored elsewhere during the job. Everything was explained by the company before the job started so there were no surprises. 2weeks was a long time but it was worth the inconvenience! Our floors look great!

Heartland tore up old ceramic tile in our powder room and replaced it with oak flooring to match the rest of the existing flooring. The job was done right on time. They cleaned up well after what was a very messy undertaking. The floors match perfectly.

Scott’s Painting crew painted the exterior of our home including brick, siding and trim. We went with an off white color that really brightened the house and can’t believe the number of neighbors who stop to offer compliments. The work was done under some severe conditions, extreme heat and a wind and rain storm that left behind lots of fallen trees, etc. Much of the prep work had to be re-done following the storm. Mike and his crew worked incredibly hard in the heat with few breaks to get the job done despite their setbacks. They clean up after completion and we’re responsive to any little touch ups as we did a walk around inspection. As anyone who has ever painted knows, there are always a few spots that need attention. In addition to the great work done by the crew, they were engaging and eager to make us happy!

Heartland Wood Floors refinished our wood floors in the kitchen, hallway and half bath. They did the work while we were out-of-town. How nice it was to come back to beautiful new floors refinished just the way we chose. I give this company 5 stars.

Three stars because they had to redo their job due to imperfections in the finish that we alerted them about. It was inconvenient, because we had left town so they could get the job done since we couldn't get to the upstairs while the floors were drying. It was disappointing to have this problem when we returned home. In their favor, they were very gracious about making things right. Their service was professional and prompt. They just need to check their work once it's done.

Our home was built in the 50's and already had hardwood floors in a few rooms, but we wanted to continue the hardwood into the kitchen. Heartland refinished our existing floors and put in matching floors in the kitchen to where you can't tell where the old floors ended and the new floors begin. It looks so nice and beautiful and the floors are soft and smooth. We are so happy that we went ahead with this project. Also, not only did Heartland seem to have the most experience and knowledge, but they gave us the best pricing compared to the other estimates we acquired beforehand, and all of the people we worked with were very friendly. I would recommend these guys hands down, every time.

So I was happy to use them when I decided to extend my wood floors into the dining room. From the first phone call we made to them, they were extremely helpful and was able to have someone come to our home that day to look at what we wanted to have done. We also went to their showroom and looked at stain colors more than once, and each time they were very helpful. We found all of the staff to be friendly and professional. Dave was the guy who did the work on our floors, and it wasn't an easy job. We had golden oak floors for 28 years, and to get the gold color out was not an easy task. But, Dave took the time to show us stain colors, did a very thorough job of sanding and even called a Manager out to look at the floor again before applying the stain to be sure the gold color would not bleed through (he knew getting rid of the golden oak floor was our primary goal). He took his time each day ensuring everything was perfect before moving on to the next step. We greatly appreciate his work and everyone at Heartland Wood Floors for their expertise and customer service. We are extremely pleased with our wood floor coloring and would highly recommend Heartland Wood Floors to others!

We have used Heartland Wood Floors for 2 projects in the last 12 months. The first was a refinish of our kitchen, garage entry, main floor bathroom. They did an outstanding job of getting the old floor cleaned up and prepped for the new finish. The took the time to work with us on coming up with the exact custom stain combination we were looking for. We had them come back 6 months later to replace our dining room and front entry with matching wood floors. They were very accommodating in the new install, matching the prior work that was completed. We later determined that we seemed to have a mysterious film on the floor that were completed during the first project. They worked with us to completely remediate that issue and assure that we were 100% satisfied. Very professional staff as well. We fully recommend Heartland Wood Floors for anyone's home project.

We had Heartland re-do our 22 year old oak wood floors and couldn’t be happier with the process. Their staff was very experienced and they knew what to do and they did it right. They were responsive to our questions and helped us make a knowledgeable decision on stain options. The communication lacked just a bit as far as what the next day held but when we called to check they were polite and they got us to the right person right away. We were also pleased that we didn’t have to stay out of our house while this was done with use of water based products odor was low and dry times were quick.

THEIR INSTALLERS WERE NICE GUYS AND DID AN EXCELLENT JOB ON THE NEW FLOORS. ONE FELLOW HAD TO RETURN TO REINSTALL 2 DOOR STOPS. OTHER THAN THAT, WE HAVE NOTICED NO IMPERFECTIONS IN NEED OF A TOUCH UP. OUR RATING WOULD HAVE BEEN 5 STARS IF THERE HADN'T BEEN A MISTAKE MADE WHEN THE FLOORING MATERIAL WAS ORDERED INITIALLY. THIS CAUSED A DELAY IN THE PROJECT'S COMPLETION.

After 18 years of carpet on our bedroom floor we decided to put in a wood floor as we had throughout the rest of the house. So wondered if it could match the other 18 year old floors. The wood and stain by Heartland matches perfectly! No one would know it was added at a later date. Thank you Heartland!

My floor looks good, workers were prompt, however I have stain all over my mopboards. This will all have to be repainted. Also , when I was given the quote I asked if they moved the furniture as I am not able to move the furniture. I was told "no problem" we move it for you. Well, yes they did move it. When the job was finished I had all this furniture to be moved back and was told "oh, we never move furniture". So... it cost me more money to have it moved back by hiring someone else!

The crew was very efficient and explained all steps accurately. The floors turned out wonderful! Definitely would recommend in the future.

We LOVE our new floors! They did a fantastic job! Owner Jim was amazing with following up with any questions. Tear out was harder than they expected because it was glued down AND we have radiant heated floors, so they ended up having to cut out 3" squares and pop off, then remove the cement/glue. Time consuming, I felt bad for them, but they took their time and did it right! Their workers were very professional and always tidied up and vacuumed before they went home. We installed "saltbox" in entryway, kitchen, 2 dining rooms, a hallway and living room. They have a beautiful showroom. I would definitely recommend Heartland for your wood floors!

Jim & his crew did a wonderful job refinishing our 98 year old wood floors! They were very professional, knowledgeable, and meticulous about their work, the end result is beautiful and we couldn’t be happier! The system they use for sanding does not make dust!!!

The installers of were professional, craftsmanship, friendly. Very little mess and clean up was very good. Their vacuum sanding system was a plus. Heartland Wood Floors was the perfect choice. We purchased a 25-year-old home where the wood floors had not been redone. They were a dark golden color which dated the house. We chose the white stain which brightened the entire area. It's exactly the look I was wanting. The guys were pleasant, hard-working and knew what they were doing, no matter who arrived to do the work each day. It was great to be able to go to the showroom and see the samples. The gal answered all my many questions. Plus, I received a complimentary floor care kit. I would hire them again for sure.

Heartland Wood Floors did an outstanding job on our floor for a home remodel. The space required special expertise with the laying of the product. It turned out beautifully.

Heartland arrived on time to provide an estimate and to recoat my wood floors. They completed the job in a couple hours and my wife and I left for a 2-week vacation. When we returned, we had some questions about a couple things we saw in the floor. Heartland came out to review the floor and answer our questions. The representative determined a second coat was necessary for which they did not charge. They arrived on time and completed the re-coat again in a couple of hours. We left on another vacation and returned to find the floors looked new and could detect no flaws. We paid the remainder of the bill in person. The Heartland employee spent about 15-minutes with us talking about how to care for the floor and provided a cleaning kit for no additional charge. All the people from Heartland were friendly and helpful. I will definitely use them again.

We were pleased with the wood floor refinish done by Heartland Wood Floors. Our floors were completely sanded, re-stained and sealed. There was minimal dust with the process they use. We would recommend them as a good company, if you are considering having your floors done.

We wanted to remove the carpet from our living and dining rooms so the wood floor was throughout the main (open floor plan) level.
