Platt Dana was a dream to work with. Gave personal attention to every detail of our gut renovation of our 1870s townhouse in Brooklyn. Unlike other firms where access to the named partners is often brief and limited, Hope was with us each step of the way and involved in every aspect of the project from design to selecting a contractor to overall project management. Platt Dana Architects did an exceptional job creating our home in Brooklyn Heights. We worked with Hope Dana as our lead architect and she brought a wealth of experience, creative genius, pragmatism and patience to our project. She designed a full townhouse renovation with precision and an eye towards functionally beautiful design. Not only did we find her to be a joy to work with in the planning phase, but she was also invaluable during our construction work as she was an excellent problem solver and quickly worked with our builder, subs, etc. to resolve any issues or concerns. I hired Hope Dana of Platt Dana when I moved to New York to combine the 2 apartments I'd purchased because she was recommended by professional contacts on both the West and East Coasts, and because I could tell within a few minutes of conversation that she was trustworthy. I've never regretted my decision. She has a clean and modern sensibility that was in line with what I was looking for, she completed everything on time and within budget, and she produced a truly fabulous apartment that has been warm and comfortable for my family, while also being beautiful enough to warrant a display in Interiors Magazine. She does not like to waste money but can still produce beautiful results. On top of all that, she and her team were extraordinarily fun to work with: positive, exacting and eager to please. We met once a week to view progress and it was the highlight of my week. She continues to impress by always being right there if I need any additional work. You can't go wrong with Hope!
