Hayley Moynihan Design

Hayley is was a real pleasure to work with, she is very creative and ability to problem solve under an give situation. I have had a great experience working with her and I will continue working with her in the future.

Besides Hayley’s incredible talent in design, she is also knowledgeable about all facets of construction. Her thirst for knowledge in electrical, plumbing and structural really impressed us. Hayley's ability to interpret the client's needs and convey it to the Contractor has been instrumental to the success of our projects. Hayley is an individual who respects the history of architecture and will do everything to preserve it and incorporate it into a new fresh design to meet with today’s trends. Hayley hired us to renovate her Brownstone in Brooklyn. She navigated through our personalities, befriended and respected our craft. Her communication kept us on schedule and on budget. Hayley bridges the gap between Designer, Architect and Contractor like no other!

Project: Gut renovation of a triplex style apartment in NYC's Upper East Side. The kitchen and bathroom were replaced entirely, each level was re-floored, each level had electric wiring implemented to support ceiling lighting (previously used all standing lamps), and all walls were sanded, primed, and repainted. We even added a walk-in closet in the bedroom. I hired Hayley as the Design Consultant and Project Manager of this construction project. While a contracting team did all of the physical work, Hayley oversaw the entire project, ensuring the initially agreed upon budget and completion deadline were met. This isn't always an easy task, especially considering the fact that my project in particular had a few unforeseen roadblocks (the plumbing needed some extra work and the bedroom flooring needed to be leveled once the carpet was pulled up). Hayley is also a fantastic designer. The reason it took me so long to initiate this construction project was that the whole design process felt very overwhelming to me - I wouldn't even know where to start! During our initial meeting, we sat and looked at design ideas from various sites together so that she could get a good sense of my preferred styles. From there, for each aspect of the design process, Hayley presented me with multiple layouts and style options. I enjoyed being able to select my favorite pieces, knowing that everything presented to me would still fit together cohesively. Overall, I am thrilled with how everything turned out - I only wish I was able to upload more than 4 photos! Hayley is an extremely professional and talented design/project manager, and I would absolutely recommend her services to anyone interested in an interior remodel.

Hayley did a phenomenal job picking up the pieces of a failed renovation (with a prior architect and general contractor) and pulling everything together to create a beautiful home. She did everything from figuring out what was done and wasn’t done, to ordering materials, planning timelines, bringing in a reliable contractor, and adjusting the design to account for prior mistakes in construction and make the space even better than originally planned. I fully recommend hiring Hayley as she has an amazing eye for design, and is also trustworthy and gets the job done.
