Havertys Furniture

I wish I could give them a nice review, but at this point it is absolutely ridiculous and has been a HORRIBLE experience. We spoke with our sales person (who was nice and helpful) about our concerns of the furniture fitting in our townhome. He assured us everything would be ok. So we spent about $6,000 on a desk and sectional. Delivery was about a month out for the desk, so we waited, and the night before the desk was to be delivered, they informed us it was damaged. So we rescheduled for about 2 weeks later. At this point we moved furniture around in our home and basically have been living like we just moved in with no furniture. 2 weeks go by and they show up, only to find the desk was "glued" together prior to shipping so it would not fit through the door. Seriously?? In addition the sectional won't fit either! Only to find out we somehow ordered the 2-piece (although we voiced concern over size and fitting). The 3 piece would fit but it is another $600 and another month of waiting. Ok. Well now another week goes by and the desk is to be delivered this Friday. I arrange time off of work so that I can be there for it. They just notified my wife, the day it is to be delivered for a 3rd time, that the desk IS DAMAGED AGAIN!!!!! YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!!!!!!!!!!

I really like Havertys furniture, and their sales staff ( Robert Askren) specifically, but the delivery department is terrible. Robert helped us match our Love Seat with a sofa and ordered it with a ETA of June 1st ( told us by the store communicator). It arrived 2 weeks late, and then when their delivery department asked if we preferred a morning or afternoon delivery we requested morning. It was scheduled for 8:30 to 12:30. Sounds good, right? THEN 2 days laterwe were called and it was changed to 2:30 to 6:30, then it was changed again to 3:30 to 5:30. Needless to say at 5:30 no truck and no call. Finally when it was storming out they called and said they would be further delayed, at which time I said it is storming so bad out you couldn't possibly delivery. NOW IT IS ALL MY FAULT! If you think that the Havertys delivery department really cares about your satisfaction, you certainly could fool me. Now I am told they will call me WHEN THEY CAN reschedule delivery. This is the second time this has happened. Like I said, very good furniture, excellent sales staff, but that is where it ends!

Our sales rep was Ken. He was very knowledgable and helped us through our concerns. We have referred him many times since.

I enjoed visiting Haverty's. The sales person I had was Very kind, patient and helpful to my husband and I.

From the moment one enters the Haverty's showroom, the representatives are courteous, helpful and respectful of the time one needs to spend researching possible purchases. I have visited many furniture showrooms in my sixty-five years, to say the least. Haverty's is a fresh experience with quality merchandise.

The furniture from Havertys of Bowie was okay, however the delivery process was problematic.. The delivery team didn't want to cover their shoes with shoe covers. The delivery team was so unprofessional we returned the furniture .

I am moving in December and have been looking around for furniture. I see Havertys whenever I am near the mall so I decided to take a look around. When I entered the store I was greeted by staff immediately and they were very helpful. They weren't hovering over me, but nearby to answer all of my questions. The store was very neat and clean and I loved what I saw. There are a few pieces that I definitely plan to go back and purchase. I will definitely shop there as well a refer my friends here.

The staff is friendly but kind of pushy when it comes to selling. I think they may be on commissions. But overall the experience was good. The merchandise is rich with quality. I would refer my friends here if you are okay with sales people following you around.

In March, 2012 we purchased a leather motion sofa and matching loveseat. We had searched for a very long time, as we could not decide on what we really wanted. With the help of our sales clerk, Cynthia, she listened to what we were wanting, our likes and dislikes and directed us to what she felt would fit our needs. As always, we have a budget in mind, and she was always mindful of what we had told her. The sofa/loveseat we selected (Stetson) is so popular with their customers, it was on back order for almost a month. However, even with our anxiousness, it was well worth the wait. Now, we cannot wait to get home and relax on our power reclining sofa. LOVE IT!!

I was in search of some specific looking chocolate colored rolled arm tufted leather couches. Haverty's had them. I bought the couch, love seat, overstuffed chair and a large coffee table to go with it. I do have to admit they are beautiful and exactly what i was looking for. However I am only giving a four star review do to the fact that only a couple days later while shopping with a friend who was looking for furniture i spied the exact looking leather furniture for about half the price that I paid at Haverty's. You see i spent about $8,000.00 at Haverty's on the couches and coffee table. I could have spent just under half that if I had bought the comparable set from a different furniture store. and i spied similar coffee tables for a lot less than even half of what i paid. Basically the pretty good overall is just for the store personnel who were friendly and kind to myself and my three children who were also shopping with me. the four star is also for the cleanliness of the building and amount of selection of various furnishings.
