Having never built a house before, my wife and I were a bit intimidated by the task of designing our home from scratch. Hamid's personality immediately set us at ease, and his process focused on how we lived our lives and what was important to us. When he presented the first drawings, we were amazed by how well his design matched our needs, even though we hadn't expressed them. The work to nuance the project was pleasant, with Hamid's patience and expertise guiding the way. Whether it's your first project, or you know exactly what you want, I can't recommend Hamid highly enough!

Our experience working with Hamid was beyond our expectations. He really took his time to understand our needs and wants when it came to designing our new, dream lake home. He met with us numerous times to really understand how we wanted to use our new home. He worked so smoothly with our builder as well, and had a good understanding of costs and structural limitations. We would recommend him to anyone.

We hired Habitat Architecture to help us redsign a 4,000+ sq foot home that we had gutted due to water damage. During demo we discovered several structural issues and with Hamid's input we explored several design options. We ended up with a design that had us tearing off a good portion of the roof and adding a upper level of approximately 2,000 sq feet to the existing 4,000 sq feet. The home is stunning! The homeowner is just in the process of moving in and we will post pictures at a later date. Hamid was very professional. We really worked well together to come up with a stunning remodel!

Hamid tackled the challenge of designing our house as replacement of tear-down in high-density homes association in Woodland. The lot was unusually small and architect had to deal with many constraints typical for associations and for Lake Minnetonka, as well as to design a house to fit the needs and requirements of the homeowners. Hamid mastered this one not only by successful design and great fit in historical environment but by building great relationship with homeowners. Hamid earned our trust to degree unusual for business-only relationships !

Hamid is one of those rare individuals that is great in many styles of architecture. As a general contractor I appreciate his design sensibility and his ability to create a vision with his client not for his client. Now that the economy is rebounding and homebuilding is on the rise, I look forward to bring Hamid to my clients and build beautiful projects together.

I have worked with Hamid on several new home construction projects. He also has designed two of my personal homes! His attention to detail is second to none. He listens to what you want and brings your vision to life. I would highly recommend using Habitat Architecture!

Hamid designed our house 20 years ago, and then designed a significant addition 12 years ago. On both projects, he showed an outstanding ability to listen and understand our needs, and then translate that into designs that have worked out just perfectly for us. He was very open to our ideas, often adjusting his approach based on our suggestions (we had some very specific ideas on how our kitchen should work, for example). We'd definitely go back to him for our next construction project.

I would like to start with how impressed we are with the plans that Hamid Kashani President of Habitat Architecture has created for us. This was a very difficult project with lots of limitations due to Beverly Hills strict city rules and regulations which had made us very frustrated over a long period of time. In other words, nobody wanted to touch this plan because they simply could not do it, but Hamid's vision, flexibility and superb talent, we were able to achieve our dream. We highly recommend this firm and are positive he can do any job that others are not capable of doing. Thank you Habitat Architecture.

Hamid at Habitat Architecture designed our Mississippi River home by taking our extensive list of wishes, the incredible South facing river views, existing old growth trees and our budget into account - and created a Mediterranean masterpiece. His input on the design, layout and function of the home was invaluable, and without his involvement, I doubt the project would have been a success. Working as our advocate with the builder, he helped keep the technical details of the project on track, corrected foundation framing errors and added a critical 3rd view of the project throughout construction. We required a stucco exterior which presented a challenge to all parties, but by working with our builder and stucco contractor before construction even began, he ensured the methods and materials would give us the 100yr + structure we wanted to build. The flow, feel and relaxing tone of our home comes from staying true to a design ideal, and Habitat was there for us every step of the way. Our home was featured on the 2011 Homes by Architects Tour, and was highly praised. Every day we still say "wow" after 5 years.

We recently completed a whole house remodel with Habitat Architecture. Attention to light and flow created spaces both beautiful and functional. Our kitchen is now a wonderful focal point of our home and it is a joy to gather in all of our new spaces. The new areas blend seamlessly with the old creating a historic home with all the perks of new home living (hello closets!) The expertise and experience of Hamid Kashani yielded results far beyond our expectations.

Wow, were we impressed! We hired Habitat Architecture to design our cabin. Hamid provided us prompt and professional service. He really listened to what we wanted, gave us excellent design advise, and kept the costs within our budget. We are very happy with the end project and will enjoy our cabin for many years to come!
