Houston has been a very accommodating and professional craftsman to work with. He listened to our ideas and feedback and incorporated it into a beautiful bathroom countertop. When things didn't go quite right, he admitted it and made things right. We are very happy with our counter and Houston's service.

Our project involved replacing an out-dated wood bartop counter with a custom concrete counter. The bartop-counter is visually prominent, located between our kitchen and main living space. It was a relatively small job, but a bit complicated given the curved configuration of the two-pieces, and the need to create a special finish color to harmonize with the finish materials in the kitchen as well as the living area. Given these parameters, we'd had no success finding contractors who were interested in the job. Houston, as we discovered when we met him, specializes in custom work, has an artist’s eye and skill with a range of styles, and was willing to take on smaller scale projects like ours. In his initial visit, we agreed on a general concept and he came back with a price quote, some proposed finish samples and a template, which we tweaked a bit to arrive at the final proportions and configuration. Once my husband and I decided on the finish color, Houston was able to complete the counter tops and install them within our desired time-frame, and on budget. The counter tops are a huge improvement and look stunning. Every visitor to our home has marveled at them. Houston’s perfectionist nature was put to the test, and he wasn’t quite satisfied with a detail on one section, so he ended up replacing that piece at no extra charge and without any inconvenience to us. Houston is a talented artisan, a man of integrity, easy to communicate with, reliable and a pleasure to work with!

We are highly pleased with the sink and countertop Houston designed. Houston put much thought into both design and functionality of our bathroom, walking us through each phase of our project and adjusting to the inevidable speed bumps. Even though this was a small project Houston took great care in making the finished product a quality standout original that reflects our personal style.

Houston is a true artist and professional. We have had a concrete sink and most recently a concrete mantle made by Houston for our fireplace. We love them both!
