I would not recommend this company due to the lack of professionalism and care of the owner. I was contacted by Matt to schedule an appointment for a fire pit project and outdoor kitchen. Matt was very professional. My husband and I were out of town so we scheduled an appointment for the following week at 10AM. I didn’t received a confirmation as discussed so I contacted him the morning of the appointment at 8AM. He confirmed that Hank(the owner) was on his way. However, I received a call around 10:10 stating he needed to reschedule. He offered a 2PM the same day. I declined it initially and schedule it for 10AM another day. I then decided to take the 2PM appointment so I left him a message. He didn’t return the call. He showed up the day of the 10AM appointment at 9AM. I decided to just move forward with the appointment. He was very nonchalant. He didn’t even bother to walk the area that we wanted to add the fire pit. I mentioned that I wanted to add an outdoor kitchen but didn’t want it to cover my basement windows. He stated it would be hard to do but never made any other suggestions to a location or options. I showed him the photo of the fire pit I wanted. He then told me he would leave a magazine for us to look through in the next few days and let him know what we want. What? I showed him exactly what I wanted. He clearly didn’t want our business. I had to ask him for a price range of the fire pit. He gave a broad range of $9k-$15k. The whole experience was a waste of our time.

Thank you for your feedback although we do not agree on what was said we do appreciate any and all feedback from our potential and our existing clientele base. We apologize if you felt that you were slighted in anyway during our time with you we did make quite a few suggestions that we felt were appropriate. With regard to the timing as well as confirmation call again it was not our intention to offend you. We have been in business for the greater part of 33 years servicing the metro Atlanta and will continue to do so and we wish you all the best in all of your future endeavors.

I would strongly recommend avoiding Green Thumb. I have mixed feeling about Green Thumb. I used Green Thumb for several projects - regrade my front yard, adding a rock wall, shrubbery - and my weekly lawn service. From an execution perspective, I have been super happy with the quality of work; however, I have had several issues with their business practices. My first project (9/5/2019) ran over budget by close to 20% (extra 1,775) - I get an email on the day of completion - oops, hit more rock than anticipate. Need a check. My next project (10/29/19) was supposed to be paid 50% for scheduling and 50% at completion. Surprise - I woke up the next day to find they billed the entire balance (before the job started). The owner actually told me he was going out of town and decided to charge me before he left?!?! I have had issues where a check was not applied to an invoice (12/11/2019) and kept getting balance due notifications. 2/10 he invoices for Feb and March - still 2 weeks away from March? He decided to increase his rates claiming it is in the contract - can't seem to get him to understand that if you don't include an optional component into the contract (a checkbox), its not part of the contract [Type of guy that needs to be right at all costs] In short - solid lawn service - dubious business office - I would recommend passing

They did a major landscaping job for me back about three years ago after which I hired them for monthly maintance. I have been very pleased with them. I have the best looking lawn in the neighborhood and have had people drive pass my house and asked who I have used. Also gotten compliments from friends.

Please beware. Owner forces you to sign a contract that makes you give a 3 month notice before you can cancel their service. Lawn care service was terrible and customer service was worse. Also they charged me hundreds more for services that we’re listed in the contract.

No Name, why hide? We forced you to sign a contract? Really, So you do not read the contract (that you signed) and agreed too and we are at fault? I know who this is and she did not pay her bill. Late fees were accessed....also in the contract. Maybe if ppl would take responsibility for the actions, things would work out. She asked us to provide extra work which we did and it was completed, she then stated she was NOT paying for it. So basically she is stealing. She also expected grass to grow in areas of terrible soil conditions, I explained to her that those areas need proper prep and new sod, so our services are terrible? Customer service terrible? I don't think so. We are not a magician, but she is clearly not trustworthy and now states false information. If that doesn't beat all. She still owes us over $800.00.

Green Thumb did a major overhaul of my property. My Bermuda in the front was dead so they replaced it with Zoysia, trimmed my shrubs and added some new plants, installed an irrigation system. With that much work going on, I also asked them to replace rotting railroad tie steps in the back with stone steps, add a patio at the basement doors and clear the back property that had been left heavily wooded for 20 years. The work that they do is high quality. I have also used them for some other projects and hired them for monthly maintenance.

They resolved severe issues with drainage on my property which had been attempted by at least three other companies in the past. The crew was very professional. The property was cleaned-up every day during the installation work. I continue to use these folks to maintain the grass and scrubs.

I used Green Thumb when I was having problems with the creek in my back yard overflowing, no one else ever bothered to call me back. I trusted Hank the minute he walked in the door, I never even bothered to get any other estimate. He told me what he was going to do, when he could start and how much it would cost. I was not home the Friday his men started, but my neighbor was home and said they where awesome and they even showed up bright and early Saturday morning to finish. I had them landscape the front yard in October and people still stop to look at it. They now maintain the lawn. If I have an issue I just call and talk to Hank and he fixes the problem.

GreenThumb redid all of the landscaping in our front and back yards a couple of years ago and did a super job. They put in patios in front and in back and we have enjoyed both. GreenThumb has kept our yard impeccably maintained since the initial installation.
