I was trying to find a good company that could handle a tough job removing flagstone and replacing it with tile. Chad and Ground Zero were recommended by the president of another company in the pool industry. Working with Ground Zero was an excellent experience. The team met my expectations and the work was completed in a timely manner. In these timne if materials issues and contractors having more work than they can handle, working with Ground Zero was a refreshing change. I also want to note that it ook me quite some time to find anyone that would even give me an estimate. If you are looking for honest and skilled help with your project, I highly recommend that you give Ground Zero a call. Lastly, the fact that they were recommended by teh president of an oteh rloacl swimming pool company says a lot about their reputation.

My family hired Ground Zero Landscape and Construction to complete our outdoor living project. We spent a lot of time researching companies based on reviews, certificates, accreditations, licensing, bonds and insurance. Let me be the first to say that Ground Zero and Chad Bennett are a step above most. What my husband and I found most interesting was Ground Zero price was inline with the other quotes we had gotten. Chad was upfront and honest with time frames on the current industry delays! He met almost all timelines. We were on budget as well. A few Issues during the project and they were handled professionally and promptly. We were made aware of cost on change orders and agreed on ahead of time. No surprises! I would highly highly recommend their services to anyone looking to create their dreamscape! Now we escape to our backyard and less on staycations at hotels! Thank you Chad Jose and Crew!!!

DISCLAIMER: I’ve never written a negative review in my life until now because I don’t want anyone to have to go through what our family did. This review will be long, but I want you to have all the info you can get before signing anything. I will focus on facts as I know the owner cares a lot about his reviews and may try to discredit it. Here we go… Ours was a ~$25,000 project. Chad sold us on Ground Zero by saying he wouldn’t be the cheapest, but that he did one project at a time through completion and guaranteed exemplary, quality workmanship. And the reviews of course. We found out the hard way the only true part of that statement is that Ground Zero will not be the cheapest… BOTTOM LINE: Do NOT do business with this company! -Chad will pass the buck. Not once did he say he’d made a mistake and that he would make it right. Delays were the supplier’s fault. Everything else was blamed on the crew, which I didn’t buy after a while because they were always great once they showed up. -Project planning was drawn out. Chad would promise drawings/plans/contract documents by a certain date, and I would only receive them after 5+ days, but only when I followed up. He was often hours later than he said, which caused multiple issues as I had to come home from my work at Luke AFB to meet with him during the duty day. When I mentioned my frustration, I was told the landscaping business is “just like that.” -No less than 7 no shows during installation! No explanations or contact until I followed up with them. -9+ months of delays (see below timeline), even through a military deployment; my wife had to take over follow-ups with this on top of deployment stress -3+ times coming to fix turf seam issue (which made it worse until the full replacement). -Refusal to return and finish the job until we submitted a Registrar of Contractors complaint. Even after that, it took him 3 months for him to send his crew to finish the job! I was honestly dealing with the delays without planning to write a negative review until Chad flat out refused to finish the job and fix the issues. None of them were a big deal by themselves, but all of it snowballed into a major stressor for me and my family. Especially to my military brothers and sisters: go to someone else. Chad knew I was deploying and he delayed/didn’t show up for months. This forced my wife to take this stress on after I left for the Middle East…while taking care of 4 kids by herself! Chad and his company eventually refused to finish our yard at all, saying we had violated the warranty (see email screenshots for more details). Ground Zero began our project on 29 Dec 2020. They finished their work on 11 Oct 21.

Chad & his team at Ground Zero are some of the best people we've worked with. When planning our backyard, it was frustrating talking with other vendors. Not these guys. The day I reached out to Ground Zero, Chad e-mailed me to schedule a call and get some more detail as to what we wanted done. Although it took a few months to get things rolling (not their fault, pavers were completely backordered everywhere due to COVID), once we got the green light things moved FAST. Our pavers, irrigation, and lighting were done in less than a week. They were understanding when we said we wanted to do a few things on our own, like sod and rock. Jesus and his team worked tirelessly to get our yard done right. Everything was exact with our blueprints, and when our measurements were off for pavers, Jesus helped us make some changes that looked amazing. You can tell they took the time to look over everything before putting anything down. Overall we are so happy with everything. We'll be sure to reach out to Ground Zero for any other projects we have lined up in the future. Thanks!

Chad and his crew did an amazing makeover in my back yard! I had a general idea of what I was looking for and showed a few photos to Chad, but that was it. He made some excellent recommendations to me, of things I hadn’t considered, and those suggestions have resulted in a yard I absolutely love! He and his crew were very professional and friendly throughout the entire process – and such hard workers! I am so appreciative of the long days they worked to create my new amazing back yard. The project was completed within the time we discussed thanks to their professionalism and dedication. I will recommend Ground Zero Landscape and Chad Bennett to everyone I know. Hard working and efficient. Chad is a good communicator and a good listener. He put a plan together to address our drainage issues and his team completed the work quickly. They were respectful and responsive to our questions. I highly recommend Ground Zero.

Ground Zero did a phenomenal job on my master bathroom courtyard and garden! They showed up early, were very organized and made sure every detail was addressed and done the right way. Being an Architect I've had the opportunity to work with plenty of contractors and Chad and his team are one of the best. I am already starting to plan my next few projects with Ground Zero and will continue to recommend them to anyone that needs great landscape work and outdoor design.

Chad Bennett and Ground Zero Landscaping did an excellent job designing and installing a custom Landscape and architectural lighting plan. Chad was friendly, personable, responsive, patient, and professional. I am absolutely thrilled with the entire process and will absolutely work with Chad and Ground Zero again on future projects.

We did due diligence to ensure we were getting a quality landscaping company. Chad’s team that built our gazebo and did all of our travertine tiling in the back yard is 5 star. However, we were given sub standard plants, to which many of our ground covering plants died within a week of being planted. Hibiscus plants looked unhealthy from day one of planting, as well as our Texas Mountain Laurel tree, which had some type of bug infestation which the tree lost all its leaves. We tried to reach out to resolve plant issues, and have never heard back from Chad. I'm torn on whether I’d recommend the company, as his crew did great work with the travertine, but there’s more to landscaping than just that.

Ground Zero Landscape does amazing work! Chad has excellent knowledge of landscaping. He listens to what you want and can provide options if you're not quite sure what you are looking for with your landscape. I would recommend him to anyone looking for hardworking, honest and knowledgable landscapers.

We had a simple and a complex project going at the same time, and Chad's crew handled it perfectly. Simple was installing new irrigation, landscape lighting, and plants. Complicated was following recommendations from a Civil Engineer to make sure the pavers and drain system worked in tandem to prevent flooding in our home. Tolerances were extremely close and required perfect execution to make certain the plan would work. After going through several heavy Monsoon season storms, I'm happy to report flooding is no longer an issue in our backyard. And the added bonus is everything looks great! Chad has customer service down and is great to work with on a project - whether it's simple or complicated!
