I have worked as a custom metal fabricator mosaicmetals.com for the past 20 years both in NYC and the Bay Area with stellar reviews and a great track record. I take pride in my work and have cultivated many great business relationships that go beyond to personal friendships. In that time I have always satisfactorily completed my work and have been compensated per contract. However, this is the first time after completing a job, I've dealt with a contractor, Louis of Louis Devereux Landscapes, who has failed to fulfill his obligation of final payment of +$8500. Though secondary, he is also a condescending, hot tempered, wanna-be bully who lies and puts on a fake smile only when he needs to or needs something from you. I wouldn't trust this man or his business under any circumstances. He will be receiving a certified mail Service of Process from small claims court from the County of Alameda. I will continue to keep the public aware of this situation and outcome to help anyone avoid doing business with him.

Hard working, great finishing, excellent communication, on time / on budget, flexible to the inevitable changes that came up during the project

Louis was hired to provide fence and landscaping per plan in a new renovation / development project on Potrero Hill, SF. The fence was to be made of Ipe and the landscaping included irrigation, lighting, a decorative patch of gravel, backyard planting of trees, shrubs and ground cover, planters with plants on the decks and in front of the house. The execution was flawless! Louis' crew did precision work with the fence, the metal edges in the yard, the creation of the decorative patch and the very careful planting. We didn't specify the irrigation materials and I was impressed to see that Louis picked high end all brass elements that will run trouble free forever. The end result was nothing short of stunning. The workmanship was great and I know this landscaping will just work - low maintenance for years to come. I will use Louis on my next project for sure!

Louis built us a new backyard. He designed the layout, helped us select appropriate plantings and hardscape and then handled the installation. Everything was done on time and within budget. He and his crew were easy to work with and responsive to any questions we had. I would highly recommend him.
