Grainne Crowley

Myself and my husband worked with Grainne on a house renovation project in 2023. We bought a 70s house which needed to be fully renovated and Grainne’s help was invaluable. She helped us with kitchen layout, and choosing the cabinet fronts and counters. She also helped us to pick out all the tiles for different areas of the house: utility room, kitchen splashback and bathrooms, and advised which vanity units and rads would suit. She picked our front door, did the lighting plan and colour scheme for the whole house and also gave very good advice on which lights to choose. Overall, we are extremely happy with how the house turned out - I am convinced the result wouldn’t have been half as good without Grainne’s good eye and expertise. I would strongly recommend her to anyone embarking on a similar project.

I engaged with Grainne's design consultation services to reconsider my Sitting Room Layout, support in Paint colour selection for main Room and Media Unit. With Grainne;s guidance i selected a completely different colour palette to my usual tastes and was delighted with results, it complimented my furniture, room , lighting and result was superb. Phase 2 in the Summer will now include Hall Paint selection and carpets - looking forward to working with Grainne regularly in the future !

Grainne was approachable, understanding and inspirational in re-designing a new layout for our recently purchased home. Her ideas will make it more practical for family living and still warm and cosy. She has wonderful solutions to bring light into our darker areas and interesting ideas to make it unique and full of character whilst working within our budget. We are so excited to get started. I contacted Grainne to help us with our kitchen as it was not functioning for us as a family. Grainne came up with really great suggestions that we would never have thought of. Stylish yet practical ideas for storage for all the children's toys!! Really great suggestions to change the layout of the kitchen to help it function and flow. Grainne listened to what we wanted for the kitchen and gently nudged us in the right direction to help achieve this. She is extremely professional, has a warm manner and an easy presence. I could not recommend Grainne highly enough. My only regret is we didn't consult with her sooner!!

I had a wonderful consultation with Grainne. I’m trying to figure out what to do with a number of rooms in my house and she had some great ideas that were different to anything I was considering. Period Arts & Crafts House Dublin I engaged Grainne to do a complete design revamp of my 5 bedroomed Arts & Crafts House in Rathmines Dublin. I cannot recommend highly enough the work that she did. I have used interior designers a number of times in the past. Grainne was by far the best interior designer I have engaged. Grainne worked really well with me, as her client. She met me to discuss my own (vague!) thoughts about my hopes for the final look and worked very hard to bring clarity to my own thinking. She then brought her own great sensibility to producing a look that would be reflective of the Edwardian heritage of the house. She never failed to bring great ideas and solutions to the inevitable challenges an older house like this brings. Grainne has mastered the difficult skill of bringing her own thoughts and ideas to a project while keeping me on board at all times. I’m really happy with the results, which can be viewed on Grainne’s website. In my opinion, the photos in the ‘’before and after’ section, understate if anything the extent to which her work improved my property. On the (always) important issue of costs, I felt that Grainne kept me posted fully and in a timely fashion on the project costs and her own fees. I received these finance updates on a regular and timely fashion and they gave great comfort that I received value for money right through and was always in control of the financial situation. Since the major job a few years ago, I have got Grainne back a number of times, including recently this year (2023) to work on other issues in my house. She has continued to deliver a totally dedicated and professional service on all projects, irrespective of scale.

Gráinne Crowley provided us with expert advice and guidance on the renovation and decoration of our Edwardian house. Grainne is the reason that we fell in love with our new home. Grainne is professional, practical, talented, knowledgeable, patient and most of all, is a mind of information regarding furniture layout, carpets, lighting and the use of mirrors and artwork. We worked with Gráinne during the recent renovation of our house in Rosscarbery, Co Cork. We wanted to respect the history of the house and it’s costal location. I used Grainne Crowley to renovate my 1981 built south Dublin home. It needed everything done & was large at 3,500 sq feet. Grainne was superb from helping with architectural design to smallest details of where to put the cutlery drawer in the new kitchen. She made some strategic suggestions that have turned out to be key in the whole project. Our house has turned out more beautiful , full of light and more importantly so easy to live in than I could have hoped. Grainne was an ideal person to work with. She has a most pleasing easy manner & her wide experience & portfolio of so many projects meant she knew who to get & when. In fact she saved money on the project using her contacts & clever ideas.
