Working with GordonDunning was the most wonderful experience! From the first meeting, I knew we made the right decision. Lathem and Cate are kind and genuine and have a very high attention to detail. I watched them measure our rooms like I'd never seen anyone measure before and was in awe (haha!)! They somehow managed to take every single thing we requested for the rooms we decorated and implemented in such a seamless, functional, and beautiful way! The mix of high end and lower end (but beautiful and functional) pieces to stay in our budget; along with the way they combine antiques and brand new furniture to create a truly lived in looking space, blows my mind! They are magicians! You will not get a room straight out of a furniture store catalog, their designs look collected over time and so thoughtful with intention in every piece. They even remembered me saying my mom's family was from Malta, and sprinkled Maltese pieces throughout the rooms. When we walked into the rooms after the install, we were speechless. They blew us away and we can't wait to work with them again on future projects. They have a true gift and we feel so fortunate to have their work in our home. We will enjoy it for years to come! I can't recommend them more highly!

Cate and Lathem did an incredible job designing and installing the nursery for my baby boy. They’re extremely organized, professional and responsive - plus bonus points for making the whole process FUN! The Gordon Dunning Team was able to easily pick up my style and taste. I had zero edits to the final design they presented! The installation process was an absolute dream - I received weekly updates on items that had been purchased/ordered/received. There was a single installation day: I left for work in the morning with an empty room and came home to a fully completed and styled nursery! I get endless compliments on the room and I fully intend to hire Gordon Dunning again to decorate more of our home. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone who wants to have a uniquely and gorgeously styled home!

I highly recommend using the services of GordonDunning. I found Cate and Lathem on Instagram (check out their feed - it's great) after admiring some work they did for a friend of a friend. They were an absolute delight to work with from the very beginning - full of energy and ideas. Despite my husband and I having very different tastes, they were able to merge our styles in creating our entry and living room. We are so happy with both rooms - they created a stylish, family friendly environment that we love to spend time in. Cate and Lathem also hit the nail on the head with my boys' rooms, creating rooms they can grow up in that still work for their young ages. We're looking forward to hiring them for phase two.

Through our contractor, we engaged Gordon Dunning to design a complete renovation of our main level floor space (including the kitchen, breakfast room, great room, living room, dining room, foyer, and powder room) to open up all the rooms into one single inviting space with the central focus being a contemporary styled kitchen. They designed every element of our renovation including the layout of an open concept floor plan (which encompassed the elimination of at least three structural walls) and all new finishes throughout the space. We also engaged them to design and install all the furnishings and décor including furniture, art, and accessories. I have to say that these two ladies created an amazing transformation of the main level of our home into a space that is truly jaw-dropping! Most importantly, Cate and Lathem displayed an uncanny ability to get a feel for our personal interests, hobbies, life history, and personal stories. Then, they successfully incorporated critical elements of our life stories into the design of the new space – a space that is incredibly sophisticated, stylish, personalized, yet casual & inviting. The ladies also threw in many unexpected, yet perfectly spot-on, elements in the design that allows for our home to be individualized and unique. I doubt that there is any kitchen anywhere that looks like our new kitchen – it is one of a kind! Even though my partner and I could not have envisioned the end result of the renovation of our home ourselves, we truly feel that Cate and Lathem created a free flowing, inviting and vibrant space for us that absolutely could not be more perfect for our lives. Now that we are settled back into our home, we have caught ourselves at random moments just gazing around the newly redesigned space, marveling at how beautiful it now is! And, in addition to the high quality of their work, Cate and Lathem made our renovation design process a fun experience because of their great sense of humor and fun loving personalities. Thank you Cate and Lathem, you are truly geniuses in home design field!

As the owner of Alair Homes Decatur, we have hired GordonDunning for four separate custom major interior renovation projects, all of which included major space planning, as well as kitchen and bathroom designs. All of our clients LOVED working with Cate and Lathem. Their ability to listen deeply to our client's needs, wants, and aesthetics, and then translating that listening into unique and extraordinary designs, is extraordinary. Cate and Lathem are true team players, and we are already in the early planning stages of our fifth project together. One word of warning: be prepared to laugh and be inspired, and enjoy the design process!

Cate and Lathem did a wonderful job decorating our family room, kitchen, and dining room in our new house. I've received so many compliments on my house and owe it to them and their assistance.

These girls are awesome! We used them to help set up our main floor and renovate our kitchen, and we were blown away by the finished product. We are absolutely in love with the work they did and how they were able to bring our "vision" to reality. They were able to think creatively and use every inch of our space for form and function. We couldn't be happier! Any bumps we encountered along the way were dealt with professionally and resolved quickly by these two (with a smile on their faces!). Highly recommended.

Gordon Dunning's passion was reflected in the creativity they brought to our project. They were professional, but so fun to work with!! They helped us with finishes, space planning, furniture and accessories. We look forward to working with them again on a future project!

I don't even know where to begin-these ladies are the BEST! This was my first experience using an interior designer and I am officially addicted now! The process they use to determine your style is brilliant (and quite fun)! They also made me feel extremely comfortable when making revisions to the design proposal based on personal taste or budget. I can't wait to start a new project with them in the future!

Couldn't give these ladies anything less than 5 stars- wish there were more! Not only are Cate and Lathem two of the most talented designers I know, but they also have such a fun approach to design and a contagious passion for what they do. The process AND end product are a joy with GordonDunning. They are excellent communicators and will create a space for you to thrive in based upon your own needs and vision. They really love each client and will work night and day to tell your personal story with your space. They are truly two of a kind!

cate and lathem are just simply great. they made choosing and assembling my new build super easy and fun. they have a great sense of what looks good in your home and were super helpful to help me figure out what i wanted in my new home. it was such a nice experience to work with them. i would highly recommend them and would call them again should the need ever arise.

Lathem and Cate are fantastic, this is our second house we have worked with them on and will definitely not be our last. I adore working with these two lovely ladies. Their style is spot on and they understood me and my style immediately. They are very accommodating, responsive and a true pleasure to work with. We just had a 40 person Christmas party and there was not one person who came that did not remark on our house and decorating. Top to bottom, GordonDunning styles and impresses. We are so lucky to have found them!
