I found Golden Interiors on Houzz and after our meeting felt very comfortable working with Peggy to remodeling my 3 story townhome top to bottom. Peggy offered many new flooring selections – real wood for the Main Level, carpeting for the Bedroom Level and wood grain vinyl flooring for lower level and stairway. The new stairs are not slippery and look stunning as if they are real wood. Peggy selected new light fixtures, wood blinds and a classic neutral paint color scheme with an accent color throughout updated my home perfectly. While I disappeared for 3 weeks Peggy oversaw all the work and assisted with small problems that arose; referring me to specialty contractors to take care of gutters and plumbing issues. I am thrilled with my newly remodeled home and love the selections we made. Peggy is highly recommended and easy to work with, oversees all items on the project through to the end and makes sure all is completed professional – she has my recommendation.

As new empty-nesters seeking help updating our home, we called Peggy Golden at the beginning of the year to assist us with a home design consult. Peggy provided excellent practical advice and design solutions for our smaller spaces. After assessing our immediate needs, Peggy designed a new fireplace wall, selected wall and floor materials and brought together a great team of contractors who completed the work in record time with excellent attention to detail and commitment to the highest standards. Peggy is a pleasure to work with. She is particularly gifted at understanding and incorporating her clients’ priorities and preferences and she clearly takes satisfaction from her work. We are thrilled with our new basement entertainment room and are already anticipating future projects working with Peggy.

Peggy Golden came out on New Year's Day to evaluate and give her expert opinion on our troublesome kitchen that another " kitchen designer " had previously drawn for us. She opened the appliances checking for clearances and actually got on the floor to mark where the present design had flaws. Peggy came up with many suggestions to solve our appliance layout problems and pointed out problems that we had not yet discovered. I wish I had known about her before I started my kitchen renovation. It would have save us a lot of time, money and grief. You will not find another design specialist that will become that invested in your project. Save your time and money looking for an interior designer. I have done your homework for you ! I look forward to working with her in the future. She is outstanding !

Peggy and I met in late fall to discuss how to update my existing LR/DR with the addition of new items....including area rugs, coffee/end tables, lamps and draperies. The rooms were completed during the holidays. Peggy offered me alternative choices of each selection, with few appointments, efficient time management and within my budget. I am delighted with the transformation of these rooms which reflect my personal taste beyond my imagination!

Peggy has been assisting us for several months with remodeling our existing home. Peggy has been helpful making selections for flooring, carpeting, rugs and paint colors. It was our first time working with an interior designer. She helped us to stretch a little beyond our normal comfort zone, but respected our desire for practicality as well. Peggy’s coordination and advice has made the remodeling process easier and we are very happy with the work and selections. We are planning to work with her again on new window treatments in the New Year. Based on our experience we would happily recommend Golden Interiors.

Peggy Golden has been invaluable helping us move from one house to a new one. She advised us on furniture pieces to keep, new pieces to consider, and was a great help figuring out placement of all pieces in the new house. She also made excellent recommendations and ultimately ordered and installed new flooring and window treatments. Our transition from one home to another has been significantly less stressful with Peggy’s guidance, resources and relationships with high-quality, dependable contractors. Her follow through with all aspects of our project has given us peace of mind knowing it really is in good hands. We had begun remodeling and adding an addition to our home this spring/summer when we asked Golden Interiors to help us with planning decisions that we were stuck on. Peggy’s sound advice and planning efforts were critical to having a home and new expanded kitchen that we are enjoying now that it is completed. One of the best decisions was installing a pantry closet for storage and the contractor fitted it with a sliding glass door. Peggy helped with the overall house, kitchen and outdoor deck plan and she also drew detailed Cabinet Elevations for our contractor to work from. We consulted with Peggy on color schemes and materials, she has extensive knowledge about construction, cabinets, appliances and more. Peggy was responsible in a large part for the beautiful outcome of our home renovation. If you are remodeling especially a kitchen Peggy is extremely helpful to consult with for planning and cabinet details.

We contacted Golden Interiors in the middle of a remodel of our kitchen and entire first floor. We wanted help with their recommendations for furniture arrangement, fabric selections, window treatments and color selections. We quickly realized Ms. Golden possessed total interior design skills. Our Design and Build firm was long on “build” and short on “design.” She expertly developed a lighting plan, created a custom shelving unit, drew up precise specifications for our crown and case moldings, steered us to an excellent furniture retailer, selected fabrics, and helped us with tile selection for our backsplash. Ms. Golden demonstrated to us time and again a keen sense of design, of color discernment, and a depth of professional knowledge. You can most definitely rely on her judgment, as she will offer her view of the proper design/color, and always offer a full explanation for her choice. We are thrilled to have worked with her, and we credit her for salvaging our remodel.

We began working with Peggy Golden last year reviewing design ideas and cabinetry details for remodeling our Kitchen and Butler’s Pantry. Peggy’s recommendations and selections on appliances, sink, cabinets, countertops, flooring and lighting are perfect in our newly remodeled Kitchen. Her knowledge of materials and attention to detail were outstanding. Peggy has creative design ideas, practical advice on all aspects of working in a kitchen and worked with a great team to make sure that the design details were implemented in a very short time. Golden Interiors had all of the products on site so that the actual construction work took 5 ½ weeks. Peggy stayed within our budget and delivered a stunning kitchen with modern design, comfortable timeless solutions, upgraded sink/faucet, cabinet drawer conveniences and reviewed maintenance of all selections as we made final selections. Peggy oversaw every aspect of the project including replacing the existing window with a nicer design, and installing a new deck door with us in a few design meetings and then took care of everything else with minimal disruption to our home and time. She was also incredibly responsive to making certain that the job was done to our satisfaction. When recently asked what one thing I would change now that the process is complete my answer was “Not a thing."

Turtle Tracts LLC

We worked with Peggy Golden, Golden Interiors, for several months over the past year on a residential project renovation in Washington, DC where we converted a 4 story residential building into two separate 2 level condominiums. Peggy developed the floor plans twice for us. The first design was a 3 bedroom plan and the 2nd plan she created included two-bedrooms with an integral den between them - a great use of space!. She also consulted on various discrete items, including lighting ideas, HVAC installation, paint colors, kitchen ideas and assisted us in creating a successful final package. We will definitely be using Peggy for future projects and appreciate her down to earth advice, expert space planning skills and creativity!.

We have been designing and building a new home in SC and consulted with Peggy Golden over the past year on several aspects of the layout and especially the lighting. Peggy is extremely knowledgeable and creative. She was very helpful in designing the lighting for the home, working out the switching controls and placement of all fixtures.
