GBC Kitchen and Bath

I remodeled my master bath, hallway bath and powder room with GBC. The experience has been wonderful. My project designer, Liz, is a sweet and warm lady, very responsive, and has good design taste. You can tell from how beautiful my bathrooms have turned out. :) My project manager, Tony, knows about remodeling inside and out. He gave me many good advices along the way. The communications with Tony have always been smooth. He tries to solve any issues the same day and always respond to my questions immediately. My contractors, Fabio and his team, are very hard working. They work on weekends and on snow days. The guy who did my tiles did such a fantastic job. Even a person with OCD like me couldn't pick any issues. :) Tony and Fabio always fix issues right away. I do want to note that expecting a perfect job presented to you at completion is not realistic. It's always best to check the job progress every couple of days or even every day when they do tiles, so you can identify issues before contractors proceed to next steps. Overall, I couldn't have asked for a better team to work with. I will definitely work with GBC again in the future.

Flawless craftmanship, exemplary professionalism and an absolute pleasure to work with… To simply write that we are pleased with GBC Rockville would be a disgrace to what we wish to convey regarding the complete remodel of our master bath and sitting room/small closets (now a huge walk in closet). This is the second time we have called on GBC to perform a major renovation and they consistently do not disappoint. Liz and Luisa were delightful (and insightful), as always, they walked us through our options, what the space would allow for and always listened intently to provide the best possible suggestions based on what we were describing. Once the project was underway, Tony made certain that all of our needs were handled and that everything we hadn't picked out yet was addressed. We cannot stress enough how truly incredible he is to work with. The team that we saw daily, comprised of Francisco, Dimas, Carlos and Elder were also stellar! They came here every day, smiling and worked so hard to complete the project in a timely manner. We thoroughly enjoyed having them here and endlessly thank them for their hard work and long days that were put in to create our gorgeous master bath and new walk-in closet. I own a property in DC and some time ago a resident had accidentally painted the bathroom walls with grout instead of paint. This necessitated almost a complete teardown and rebuild to remedy, so after contacting a few places, GBC and I were able to work out a design that I was excited about. They got to work in a timely manner and were able to bring the vision to life, even dealing with some unexpected hiccups with ease. Even when something didn't make it from the drawing board to execution, they were able to come back and make corrections when necessary. All in all, a great experience!

We found GBC on Houzz in an article and were incredibly impressed by the reviews. They came out quickly for an estimate and came in under budget. We knew that the costs would rise and felt comfortable with that, knowing the reviews were solid and the cost was reasonable. We worked with Sussan for design, Alex for electrical, plumbing, construction, etc and Jonathan was our onsite project manager. We definitely were heavily involved in every aspect of the process and, at times, we needed to request things be corrected. But, we were overall very pleased with our kitchen renovation. Timeline-wise they were well within the timeframe of 8 weeks -- giving us a working kitchen within 5 weeks, which was amazing. We live about 15 minutes away from the showroom in Rockville which made getting there fairly easy.

I held off on renovating my kitchen because of the stories I heard from friends about their bad experiences. If I’d known sooner about GBC Kitchen and Bath, I wouldn’t have had to. They are outstanding! I’m extremely happy with my new kitchen and appreciate the team that handled the job. Fabian really listened to what I wanted and helped me every step of the way with the design process, Ray and Sal were the project managers, and responded to any questions and concerns. Alex and Jacob, the craftsmen, paid unbelievable attention to detail, were meticulous in their work during the entire job, respectful, professional, and so easy to work with. Alex is an excellent communicator, who really understands how to work with customers. They completed the job on time and within budget. I highly recommend GBC.

I just finished a kitchen remodel with GBC. They did an amazing job and it’s hard to put into words how grateful I am to their entire team! We squeezed this project in right before the birth of our first child. We instantly felt that we’d be in the best of hands after meeting with GBC. We knew some delays could occur that might be unavoidable but we felt that we could trust them to work as quickly as possible while maintaining a strong attention to detail. Our expectations were high but somehow the GBC team still exceeded them. They were absolutely fantastic to work with throughout the entire process. Tushar and Luisa worked with us to make our major selections and then their project manager Tony worked with us closely during all of the on-site work. Tony and the on-site crew are clearly passionate about what they do. The team worked hard and put countless hours into making sure everything was perfect. There were times when the team tweaked things I assumed were already done, with their attention to detail exceeding my own! My project included the demolition of two walls and the building of a brand new beam with supports as we majorly adjusted the layout of our space. Tony always kept me posted on what was happening next and was on-site frequently to check in as well as being a quick text away if I had any questions. The crew was incredible courteous. They cleaned as they worked and always did a thorough cleaning at the end of each day. While there’s some unavoidable disruption when you renovate your kitchen, they kept this to a minimum. They helped relocate our old fridge to a nearby spot out of the way for us to access during the renovation and kept the construction dust at bay with their frequent cleanings. We’ve now been enjoying our new kitchen for a couple of weeks and are truly in love with the space. It’s incredibly functional and also beautiful. It’s a space that we’ll treasure using for many years to come and I couldn’t be more grateful for the team at GBC for partnering with us to create this amazing space! Whether you’re adjusting a load bearing wall like I did, or just refreshing a kitchen space with an existing layout, I highly recommend GBC. It was a fantastic experience and I plan to work with them again in the future for our bathroom renovations!

The workers were nice, responsive and worked really hard. They finished the project in less time than quoted. They did a great job.

GBC did work on three bathrooms in my house. We received excellent service from everyone: design consultation from Tushar, project management from Jonathan, and workmanship from Fabio and the rest of the crew. They were responsive, maintained excellent communication, fixed problems with no questions asked, corrected errors, and made sure we were completely happy with their work. The work crews always cleaned up thoroughly at the end of each work day. We would not hesitate to use GBC again.

GBC Rockville did an amazing job on our basement remodel. Luisa and Sussan were the designers that put the plan together and helped with our design selections. Tony was the project manager who always stopped by to check on the progress and always communicated with us about progress and timelines. Lucas and his team were hard working, very clean and always paid attention to detail. On all levels of the project they all listened to what we wanted and made sure everything was to our satisfaction. They were always polite, efficient and a pleasure to work with. We used them for our master bath remodel last year, basement this year and would definitely use them for our next project!

GBC helped us with kitchen and master bathroom remodeling in the summer of 2022. Leading up to it, I talked to about 20 firms, had 3 quotes, and GBC was the middle one in terms of the price. However, what stood out for us was that it was Liz, the designer, who came out to give us a quote, whereas it was contractors who gave us quotes. Liz instantly gave us so many great ideas that in the end, it was a easy decision to go with GBC. Both the kitchen and the bathroom involved taking out or moving the wall, gutting out stuff, and adding stuff. Liz would never force any specific design ideas onto you; however, if your ideas are really bad, she will let you know that they are bad. And I'm glad she put a stop on some of my ideas! We were still in a different state during the renovation, and we had a set date to move in with a newborn. Yet, Liz made it really easy for us to make design decisions and to get updates on the progress. All the team members (Liz, Louisa, Tony, Lucas) made the whole experience very easy despite the fact that we were moving from another state with a newborn during the pandemic. And now, we have a new kitchen and a master bathroom that make us smile every time we walk in. Lastly, we had our movers arriving at an odd date, and it was tricky for me to fly to receive our stuff. I mentioned this to Liz, and she offered to receive it for us on her day-off, while she's pregnant! In the end, I managed to find time to fly to receive it, but I promise you, she is one of the nicest people you'll ever meet, period. Overall, we're lucky to have worked with them, and we know who to call if we want to renovate other parts of the house.

We hired Gbc to remodel our kitchen and the outcome of the project was wonderful. We love our new kitchen, we showed our neighbors and they think it looks amazing! There was some problems towards the end of the project which made the project drag a little too long but they made sure everything was fixed! The crew was polite and and the management communication was very responsive, they kept us updated through out the entire project.

Gbc kitchen and bath renovated 2 of my bathrooms. The bathrooms look amazing! I’m very pleased with the final out come. Communication was great, the crew did a great job. Highly recommended.

Remarkable lack of competence and service. We are 20 months past when my project was supposed to complete, and it is still not. My cabinets are warped and do not close, other cabinets are oversized and do not open all the way causing drawers to scratch them, the cabinets are not secured to the floor, my floor is uneven and has several loose tiles, etc. To their credit, GBC has tried multiple times to repair these defects, but they have failed every time. They insist that I continue to miss work to allow them additional attempts, but I have already missed approximately 15 days of work to stay home and let them try. GBC has told me at different times that either (1) I should have expected their cabinets to warp because I do not keep my home at exactly 70 degrees 100% of the year; or (2) it is my fault that the cabinets are warped and improperly sized because I allowed GBC choose a low-quality cabinet supplier. Over the past 2 years, while trying to work with GBC to have them complete the project successfully, they have antagonized me numerous times. For example, they accused me of not paying on time (which is false, of course - they were paid on-time and in full). Luisa also accused me of "extortion" when I asked her to complete the project so that I could leave them a positive review. I truly wish I could - I very much enjoy posting positive reviews for high-quality businesses.

I am in love with the work that GBC Kitchen and Bath did on my kitchen, new main level bathroom and remodeling of four bathrooms in the house we purchased December 2021. The design was absolutely stunning, everyone love the design and the work that was done on my home. I would highly recommend this company.

It was a great experience working with GBC Kitchen, Rockville! We had our entire bathroom remodeled and we are extremely pleased with the outcome. The project manager (Enrique), and office staff (Liz and Luisa) were very professional and nice. The entire crew was also very professional and reliable. GBC Kitchen and Bath, Alexandria, Virginia, was a real pleasure to work with remodeling two bathrooms that earlier were to be contracted with another company who was also contracted to remodel my kitchen in 3 months, however, it took 9 months and over budget to complete. Most of the issues were not due to COVID. So, when I met with Fabian of GBC he knew he was following a difficult job. A job that had me very apprehensive about remodeling the bathrooms. Fabian was a joy to work with. He listened to what I wanted and delivered it with a very competent Project Manager, Ray, and crew. Anival is very precise and diligent in his work. He kept me informed during every aspect of the job. His assistant Carlos and he worked as a cohesive team. There were no delays due to materials not being available, Arnoldo visited each day to bring supplies or determine what was needed the next day. There was no dust buildup like with the other company. At the end each day the area and the surrounding areas were cleaned. One bathroom was completed in 3 weeks the other in 4 weeks. When completed the bathrooms were cleaned and looked like showrooms. GBC did not try to nickel and dime me to death. They did everything they could to help and please me during the process. I highly recommend GBC Kitchen and Bath, Alexandria, VA and will definitely will be using their services again.

They completed my Kitchen after a fire, and a could not be more satisfied with the end result. The Project manager took over late ,and fixed issues with original measurements from the designer, and kept me informed every step of the way!! He was awesome!!! I love my new kitchen!!!!

I am personally a contractor that does kitchen and bath remodeling as well *just not for this company. My mom needed a new laminate floor put down and because I had moved on to a different career there was no way I was going to be able to do the work. Instead of calling my old company, I still called GBC without even thinking twice!

The cabinets that GBC installed make me not want to ever leave my kitchen. My husband loves it because im always baking. They just did such a superb job and my family and I would recommend to anyone!

After looking at so many remodeling contractors, We finally decided to go with GBC. I thank Tony, the project manager and Pedro the designer for doing an outstanding job. They remodeled our master bathroom and we are extremely pleased with their work. They were sincere, punctual and very cooperative with any changes we made. We used GBC three times and they did a great job. Pedro designed the remodel and we’ve gotten nothing but compliments. A neighbor saw the work and hired GBC to do their house. They are local, responsive, and Tony managed the project to perfection.

GBC removed old carpet in three bedrooms, hallway and stairs and installed Bruce hardwood flooring and completely reworked our staircase. They installed hardwood on the stairs and new newel posts. They also painted our hallway and staircase. Just gorgeous! Pedro did a wonderful job helping us design the project and Enrique, our Project Manager, ensured every detail was completed beautifully. They showed up every day and worked hard to complete the project. Their attention to detail was really appreciated and everyone was more than willing to answer our questions. I highly recommend this company and would hire them again without reservation. Job well done!!

The crew was excellent, they took care in protection the floors and furniture. The workmanship was fantastic. The master bathroom was a major undertaking and it came out perfect. The hallway bathroom was also done and the results were great. They also converted a small room into a walk in closet . Very professional and would use them again for anything further.

We have hired GBC for three different projects over the past decade and have always been pleased with the results. Most recently, we contracted with them to completely renovate a condominium we had just purchased. We had them refinish all the ceilings, replace all the floors, completely renovate 2 bedrooms, living room, dining room, 2 full bathrooms and a powder room. We also had them renovate the kitchen and add breakfast nook, custom build a desk/studio in the library and two display pedestals in the foyer, tile the floor of the large balcony, and repaint the entire condo, all in about 16 weeks. We were very pleased with Charlie Ozdemir, the project manager. He carefully listened to our ideas, designs and our wishes, made good recommendations, and stayed in contact with us throughout the project. Charlie said that his goal was “to make sure we were happy with the outcome.” He was in phone communication with us on a daily basis, was physically on site several times each week, and he succeeded in making us feel that our wishes and satisfaction were indeed his priority and responsibility.

Project was a complete kitchen remodel and painting in a small townhouse. The entire GBC team, from design, through the different aspects of the job, to project management and accounting was knowledgeable, professional, and very responsive to all of our questions. Work quality was high and products and materials were appropriate for a townhouse. Already looking for other projects GBC can help us with.

GBC Kitchen is fantastic. We were very stressed when picking a company to remodel our kitchen. From day 1 GBC was responsive, fair, and extremely buttoned up. With COVID, they continued our project, keeping their workers and our family safe. Our kitchen came out beautiful; feels like a new home. Our project manager Liz Rivas deserves the biggest shout-out. I have never met someone so responsive and accommodating. Her job was far from easy due to the pandemic, but she made it happen. I highly recommend GBC; we honestly feel like we are friends with Liz now. We are thankful we found them and we highly recommend them.

Our completely new, renovated kitchen was completed on time and within a very reasonable budget, even in view of the current pandemic situation. The kitchen is beautiful and we are extremely satisfied with the result. Liz Rivas, the GBC main point of contact at their Rockville store, was terrific to work with from planning through the final execution stages. The rest of the GBC supporting staff, Henry, Louisa, Tony and Enrique were skilled, courteous and efficient. The site was also cleared of excess materials and professionally cleaned and the company acted immediately on follow up matters. A very good organization to do business with.

We recently hired GBC for a significant, top-to-bottom D.C. row-house renovation, and we are very glad that we did. From beginning to end, GBC was helpful, responsive, and professional. Our project included the following: fully renovating a kitchen; removing a wall dividing the kitchen and living room; installing built-in bookshelves and living-room cabinets; renovating a powder room; converting a bathroom into a bedroom; building two new bathrooms; building three new closets; installing new HVAC; installing a new hot water heater; new electrical work; repainting; installing new trim and doors; and installing new hardwood floors. Everything was completed with a high level of quality, craftsmanship, and attention to detail. The project was also completed ahead of schedule. The Rockville-based GBC team, led by Luisa and Pedro, was very responsive to emails and text messages, gave helpful advice and suggestions, and, perhaps most importantly, was honest and trustworthy. Pricing for change orders—inevitable in a project as large as ours—was reasonable and fair, and even once we paid in full, Luisa and Pedro immediately took care of any outstanding requests that we had. In short, GBC handled our challenging project very well, and we would highly recommend them to others in the area.

Choosing GBC to work on our house was the best decision we made. They were easy to work with, listening to our needs and desires and offering advice when needed. They were professional and committed to their work. We liked the fact that they cleaned up after themselves every day. The coronavirus occurred in the middle of the renovations and GBC ensured that we had everything we needed to function until they were able to resume work. Thank you to Pedro,Luisa, Liz, Rudolpho and Tony, as well as everyone else on the team, for providing us with a great new look to our first floor, kitchen, and bathrooms. And it was all done within the budget.

GBC did a great job! They worked with our complex schedule without complaint and did all of the little extra things we asked. The workmanship was superb. Charlie, the manager did an outstanding job, was patient, listened closely to our requests, and carried them out meticulously. I would hire them again without pause.

We’ve used GBC Kitchen and Bath two times now. First for a ½ bathroom and then we just called them again to do a full renovation of our master bathroom. They are very professional and really focus on making sure you are 100% happy with the design, your decision, etc. They are so passionate about their craft and their business and it shows in every part of the job. Alan was so helpful during the process of renovating our kitchen. The team was so polite and respectful. They cleaned up after themselves which was something we noticed as the company who built our deck left huge messes every day, ruined our yard, etc. GBC cleaned up after themselves every day of the renovation. Just finished a remodeling project in our kitchen with GBC Kitchen and bath we are beyond thrilled with the way it turned out. It really flows from the kitchen to our dining area and into the rest of the house. They did a great job in designing the kitchen so that it flows with the rest of the house instead of a separate area. We love the open concept layout of our home and it was very important that it didn’t feel like a separate place. We love our new farm sink more than anything! It is my favorite part of the renovation.

What an awesome experience. We were so nervous doing such a huge project but we prepared very well for it and our kitchen turned out better than we could have ever imagined. The new cabinets, the new granite, the new sink, the new lighting, and we looove the new floors. It is everything we wanted and more. We just added a mother in law suite to our home my mother. We wanted her to truly have her own space without having to use any of our space if she didn’t want too. We love the updated modern look but mom is old school and loves the classic country and simplistic look. We worked with Burak to come up with the perfect design for my mom’s likes and dislikes. She is overjoyed with the outcome. We revealed it to her when she got back from visiting her sister up north and she even cried. It was a really special moment for us and for her. We know it was hard to leave the home she shared with my father and this just helped make the adjustment that much easier and we are so thankful.

We have renovated most of our home ourselves but we recently had a baby and just didn’t have time to finish the remaining projects which included a full bathroom in the basement and a ½ bath on the main floor. I am so thankful that a friend of mine suggested using GBC Kitchen & Bath when I was talking about renovating my kitchen. After a lot of research, I knew what I wanted and also knew it wasn't something I wanted to piece together by using a handyman or a home renovation company. They say that Kitchens sells the homes so we use GBC Kitchen and Bath each time we flip a property. We take short cuts here and there and try to do a lot of the work ourselves to save money but we NEVER touch the kitchen. We leave that to the professionals and that is why we use GBC each time and will continue to do so.

We have used GBC Kitchen and Bath now twice in the past two years. They did a full kitchen renovation for us last summer and we are still just as happy now as we were when the work was first completed. We just worked with them again to remodel our basement bathroom. I was really scared to take on a massive project like renovating a master bathroom, but the GBC Kitchen and Bath team were very professional and supportive. They provided great design advice, explored ways to ensure I stayed within budget, and were very efficient with their time and effort. They stayed on scheduled, provided their own material, cleaned up after themselves and didn’t accept the lash check until I was completely satisfied. I highly recommend them. The GBC project management and design teams were professional and terrific to work with throughout the process of our kitchen renovation. The build out team had a great attention to detail and we were very pleased with their work. I would highly recommend GBC to anyone interested in a renovation. We did not look forward to this renovation initially but the GBC team made it easy and delivered a great renovation and even beat their own timeline for completion. Quality company who takes a lot of pride in their work and it really shows in the outcome of their remodels. We have used them 3 times now for our rental properties and we will continue to use them! We have been thinking of doing a bathroom remodel for years. We did a lot of work on our main floor of the house but just haven’t gotten around to doing the ½ bath on the first floor. GBC did a great job in really matching the style we had on the rest of the main floor to our ½ bathroom. We are extremely satisfied. We will be using GBC Kitchen and Bath for our master bathroom once we get everything else done up there! We are already started to plan!

We really enjoyed the entire process of remodeling our kitchen. We have done so much research on Houzz getting different ideas and figuring out what we like and what we don’t like. Our kitchen really looks like something off one of the shows from HGTV. It looks amazing. We are so in love with the new back splash, the new lighting, the new flooring, and most of all the storage that has been added to our kitchen! The design that GBC Kitchen and Bath came up with was perfect and it made a great use of the space and the height our ceilings giving us so much more storage space than we had before and it just looks amazing. GBC Kitchen and Bath in Rockville MD, did an excellent remodel of my small kitchen. I was overjoyed with the outcome, communications, price, professionalism and flexibility of the work done. Pedro and Luisa were both responsive and knowledgable. Henry the craftsman who did the work was excellent and efficient in doing the demolition, cabinet installation, backsplash and misc repairs necessary. The company was very good at customer service and made some modifications that really made my kitchen work. I'm so appreciative and would highly recommend their work to others.

We had our basement finished, including a small bathroom. Pedro, Gino, and Rodolfo were a fantastic team. Pedro came out to the house, evaluated everything we needed done, and promptly wrote a reasonable estimate for the job. We went to the Rockville showroom, and he helped us choose fixtures, flooring, etc. He listened to what we wanted done, and did not try to "upsell" us (as other contractors did). The crew were prompt, polite, and consulted us when they had questions. The basement is beautiful, the bathroom beyond what we expected. Whenever we discovered an issue, we phoned Gino, who had the problem resolved quickly. When we had a family emergency and had to reschedule some work, they worked with us to find an agreeable time. They followed through with everything we discussed, professionally and courteously. We are planning on hiring them when we have our master bathroom remodeled.

I recently had my kitchen remodeled with GBC and I am so pleased how everything turned out. Everyone was so professional and timely. I was really surprised at how long the project took and how organized everything was. I am a neat freak and they keep everything clean and free of the construction dust. Alan helped direct me to the right products and design and was wonderful and responsive during the planning and Charlie the Project Manager also was responsive during construction, professional and paid a lot of attention to detail. I recommend this company if you are looking for any remodel.

I had three bathrooms to renovate (including one to build out), so I was particularly sensitive to cost. GBC’s pricing was terrific – and the quality of their material and work outstanding. Charlie was the Project Manager, and he could not have been any better! Responsive, flexible, and accommodating all my needs, Charlie personifies customer care - as does Burak, another Project Manager who also gave terrific help and advice. The working team (and in particular, Cesar) was the best I’ve dealt with - meticulous work, impeccable cleanup and always on schedule. I give them all high marks, and recommend GBC fully.

We were very happy with our recent kitchen renovation. It’s exactly what we wanted and has totally transformed our kitchen space. Working with GBC Kitchen & Bath was a positive experience from day one. From our first meeting with Pedro Pollarolo the Project Designer, who instinctively seemed to know what we wanted, providing a detailed description of the work process with design input and recommendations when we needed help and responding quickly to any questions we had throughout the process. I’m absolutely delighted by the bathrooms renovation job performed by GBC Kitchen and Bathroom of Alexandria, VA. I hired GBC to renovate and upgrade all my two bathrooms and the powder room. From start to finish, the GBC team listened to my requests, guided me with the process from envisioning design, selecting the materials, delivering the materials to specifications, and performing the renovation jobs. Ms. Eda Yeniay proposed a few design concepts and materials. As someone who was aesthetically challenged, she helped me with choosing the design and color coordination that would stand the test of time. More importantly, she selected high quality materials consistent with the vision. Mr. Charlie Ozdemir was an experienced project manager who ensured that the process would be executed smoothly, on time, and on budget. He excelled in those areas as well as he listened very carefully to and answered all of my questions. I also could not be happier by the skilled craftsmen led by Mr. Ever who executed all the designs and concepts leading to desirable outcomes. Throughout the process, GBC always came up with solutions to possible issues. I really did not have to worry about having the contractor mess up the job. I have now fully renovated, updated, aesthetically pleasing, and modern bathrooms suitable for 21st century. I will entrust GBC again with my kitchen project in the future. Thank you, GBC!!

We used GBC to remodel our master bathroom. Burak was our designer, Charlie was our project manager, and Lee was the main contractor onsite. Overall the design experience was very nice, we liked their large showroom where we could see different options in different lighting. Burak was helpful and responsive to our questions, and we appreciated that he tried (and eventually succeeded) in expanding our shower to allow for a sliding door, which was better from a use and practicality perspective. Our only critique of the design process (and perhaps something we could’ve done better asking about) was communication about some of the materials and the cleaning associated with them. For example, we mentioned early on that we wanted low maintenance, easy-to-clean materials. Chrome was later recommended by GBC for our fixtures, which, we’ve come to find out, requires some additional TLC to keep it from getting visibly spotted. In addition, we were surprised to find out that the tiles in our shower floor were marble after the job was done– don’t get me wrong, they are nice, but I was surprised we weren’t told up front what they were made out of (and how to maintain/ clean them). So again, lesson learned on what we could do better and research, and something to keep in mind if you are thinking about working with them. In terms of the work itself, overall GBC did a great job keeping us updated on the latest status and consulting with us on placement and modifications. The work did take a few weeks longer than initially estimated, and though that is the risk with renovation, it wasn’t due to a huge unforeseen issue. The workmanship was ok, but there was a surprising lack of attention to detail, especially given what we were paying for the job. Charlie did catch certain issues, but we were surprised that we had to point out other issues that we would’ve thought GBC would want to QA/QC for without relying on the client to point it out. The biggest thing that sticks out is GBC turned over the bathroom to us, all beautiful and shiny, and we come to find out the shower didn’t work. We later found out it was due to a part defect, but we would’ve thought that the team would’ve tested the shower first to make sure everything was working correctly before turning it over. They did correct the problem quickly, which we appreciated. However, in another example, it was a bit disconcerting to have the onsite contractor ask us to not ask him to fix the tiling on the wall because it would entail more work for him. There have been a few minor things that we’ve flagged to them since the project was over and they have always been very responsive in getting back to us and sending someone out when needed. We’ve gotten a lot of compliments on the bathroom, and look forward to using it for years to come.

Bottom line: If you value your time, avoid this business!!! I was looking forward to potentially working with this company after reading so many glowing reviews on Houzz. Unfortunately my dealings with this business were a disaster from day 1. My family and I came to the Rockville "showroom" on 1/26/19. The store was supposed to open at 10 and the lady showed up at 10:15 to open the store. I went in with my kids to find that this was most definitely not a showroom, but more like an office space crammed with tile and a couple of small kitchen examples. Another couple arrived at the same time and the store employee immediately sat down with them to go over their bath design. After standing there awkwardly for a few minutes while my children squabbled nearby, I finally approached her and asked if I needed an appointment. She asked what we needed and I told her we have a kitchen and 4.5 baths to redo. She said we needed a home visit before doing anything else, which would have been nice to know before schlepping out to Rockville on a Saturday morning. (It doesn't say this anywhere on the website and I thought we'd be able to at least see a lot of design options in the "showroom".) After making an appointment, then rescheduling due to weather, I waited for someone at my house for our 9 am appointment on 2/1. Minutes ticked by with no call and no salesperson. Finally as I was pulling out of the driveway at 9:33 I saw someone walking up to the house. I left anyway (I left her a note). There's no point in dealing with this business if they are this unprofessional.

We used GBC to re-model our kitchen in December 2018. The job included removing soffits and a pantry; adding an island; and installing cabinets, counters, and flooring (including flooring in an adjacent room). We gathered several different price quotes from various companies and GBC's bid was the least costly by a fair amount. Our designer was Luisa and she was very patient with us over a period of probably a couple of years. She did not bother us at all over that time unless we called her and she was fairly responsive to our ideas. The work took 3 weeks and they did an excellent job. They used the same crew for everything except the countertops (those were brought in and installed by the granite company). There were no special visits by electricians, plumbers, etc. Alex and his crew did everything. Our project was managed by Charlie who was always a phone call or text message away if we had a question or needed something addressed. Be aware that the kitchen remodeling experience is not without its' headaches - the crew does make some (minor) mistakes and the initial demolition is quite messy. But we found Alex and his team to be very responsive to anything we asked. Anything that wasn't right was fixed right away. We did have to supply a few items like a faucet, a garbage disposal, and paint. Oh and there were no big trash bins or anything like that outside the house. They carted everything away every day. We were very satisfied with both the price and the quality of the work and we would use them again. The job was completed on time and we didn't spend a penny more than the price on the contract.

We recently have one of our bathrooms remodeled by GBC. Pedro from GBC is an absolute pleasure to work with. He is the best. He is very knowledgeable, cooperative and understanding. We went to their nice showroom in Rockville, MD. He helped us selecting the materials for Bathroom remodeling. Also, we had little bit of time issue but he scheduled everything very nicely and completed the job way ahead of time. He had a great team. Diego did a very high quality job. We are very impressed with the professionalism, and work ethic of the entire team who were on the project. They arrived promptly each morning, worked through till the evening and cleaned up the job site each evening prior to leaving. GBC is affordable and reliable. We are very happy with our new bathroom. If we have any future project we will definitely contact GBC. We would highly recommend GBC.

We used GBC for our total kitchen renovation and are so happy with the finished product. Pedro was our designer and Diego did the work. They were responsive, professional and creative to solve small problems that came up during the construction. They stayed on budget and within a reasonable time frame for the size of the job. We will be using them again for our bathroom remodeling needs.

Alan is a true professional in an age where there seem to be fewer and fewer. GBC Kitchen and Bath has so many years of experience that came in handy several times during the design and planning process. They helped remodel our kitchen and master bathroom and it was really much smoother than I had anticipated. We are ecstatic with the outcome and are truly grateful!

My wife and I contacted GBC, in response to a marketing mailer from them, to get an estimate from them for a complete redo of our kitchen which was 28 years old. Upon receiving a quote for the job and a check of 3 references, we went with GBC. The job was a complete success with no surprises or cost overruns, completed in a timely manner, and fully met expectations, and I believe was mutually beneficial to both sides. Based on this great experience, moving forward I would not hesitate in providing a very favorable reference for GBC or in using them again in the future.

We could not have been more pleased with Burak who was our project manager! From the planning process to installation they were nothing but professional. The design of the kitchen was detailed and involved. They took time to sit down with us on numerous occasions to make small changes and discuss options. 11/21/2018 11/17/2018 My husband and I needed our Master bathroom refurbished. We went with GBC flooring kitchen and Bath since it was so close to our house. Burac came to the house and carefully measured the space and designed the new bathroom cabinets and counter tops and showed us many choices for the handles. He did his plan quite fast and neat and allowed me to review and update anything I wanted from the design. We picked out quality lighting to accent the new bathroom. Mario and Alberto were the professional workers that came to our home and they were very pleasant and cheerful. They were very hard working and we appreciated their competency and their neatness. They had all the carpeted stairs and flooring covered with plastic before they began their work. They finished the work in the time frame we agreed upon. We couldn't be more pleased with our new bathroom. We definitely will use them again on our next project.

We had a bathroom totally remodeled by GBC (everything was torn out down to the sub-flooring and to the cinderblock walls and was then replaced and rebuilt), and the experience was very positive. Eda the designer was very pleasant to work with, gave us great ideas and provided us with very detailed design drawings, product specifications and costs before we committed to the job. She also gave us a firm timeline as to when the job would start and approximately how long it would take to finish. They started exactly when they promised, and finished in the time-frame they had estimated. The quality of the work was very good and the workers were very flexible and responsive to my ideas as the work progressed. There were several minor issues (loose towel bar, drain stopper that didn't close tight, and slight leak along the glass shower enclosure) which took several call-backs to fix, but the project manager (Charlie) was very diligent in keeping after these issues until they were resolved. GBC provides a 2-year warranty to stand by their work and will come back to fix any issues that may appear during that time. All of the people I dealt with were very courteous, respectful and professional. I definitely recommend them for kitchen and bath remodeling work!

We gutted and renovated an old bathroom from 1939 for this project. This involved removing and relocating all the fixtures in the bathroom, including the bathtub and reconfiguring all the plumbing. GBC did an excellent job and completed the project on time and at the proposed cost. GBC's proposed cost was the most competitive that we received. Project design was smooth and efficient and the project was started quickly. The workers were polite, respectful of the house, kept us informed of when work would take place and cleaned up every day. Dust control was excellent. There were almost no days without progress on the project. The tile work, painting and finishing were all professional quality. The overall quality of the work was excellent and we are very pleased with the aesthetic and stylish outcome of the project. We would definitely use GBC again.

I hired GBC to remodel my small kitchen in Old Town Alexandria, and I could not be happier than I am now with my gorgeous kitchen. I started working with Alan probably about a year ago and then pulled back after having some reservations. He did not push me at all and just said to contact him when I was ready. I really appreciated that, and when I was ready I did call. The final result is a beautiful kitchen that I am proud to show off. I've already recommended them to several neighbors and hopefully more work will go their way. I enjoyed working with the team at GBC Kitchen and Bath. I did my research and my due dilligence by getting more than one estimate on our renovation. It wasn't very hard to decide becuase the estimates weren't that much different but the customer service was far better with GBC than the other companies I got estimates from. That same customer service was shown to us throughout the entire process! They did an great job on our renovation and i know that is why we were able to sell our house at such a high price! We will be using them again our new "fixer upper" and this time, it is our forever home and we won't trust it to anyone else.

After an exhaustive and frustrating search for a good contractor to renovate the kitchen in our new apartment, we were told about GBC Kitchen and Bath by a friend. We were impressed from the start. We received an immediate response to our initial email, and within two days Luisa and Pedro came to our house to give us a bid. Three days later we received the bid, which was very reasonable. We went to GBC's Rockville showroom the next week to choose our materials. It was a very pleasant experience. The selection was great, and we made all our choices within about 45 minutes. Within 10 days the workmen began the project, which was slated to last approximately 2-3 weeks. The first day they took down an entire wall and removed all the cabinets and appliances. Twelve days later our kitchen was finished! It looks absolutely stunning. There was one small issue at the end, and they came and fixed it immediately. We really couldn't recommend GBC enough. They really understand customer service and their craftsmanship and attention to detail is fantastic. Try them!

We needed help with the whole house renovation (4 bathrooms and the kitchen) Called GBC from Houzz reviews. We were very nervous about starting such a big project. We had doubts. Alan and Burak's approach was calming and gave the the confidence. Did not believe our kitchen could look so beautiful when we saw the design on the paper. It turned out to be more than what we dreamt of. Absolutely gorgeous! From planning to designing to ease of choosing the materials to the work itself was so enjoyable. The tile work is stunning! Alan and Burak were very professional and always reachable, They took care of everything like they would take care of their own homes. We have already started recommending them to family and friends! Really enjoyed my experience working with GBC Kitchen and Bath. We bought a "fixer-upper" and after several months of headache we finally realized are NOT DIY'ers. haha We started to look around and loved eveyrhing about GBC Kithen and Bath. Our bathroom is truly something I only thought I would ever see in a magazine. We decided to remodel our master bathroom after “rough housing” from our children destroyed our shower door. It was an old bathroom and it needed a major remodel. We ended up knocking a wall down and making it into a true master bath. I couldn’t be more satisfied and in love with the final outcome. We had a tremendous experience with GBC. From the beginning Staphany and Luisa took excellent care of us. They visited our home and turned around an innovative design that was simple yet elegant. They worked with us closely as we made modifications and decided on details. They were very easy to reach. They answered all of our questions. Their process was highly reassuring. They had great attention to detail throughout the project. This was a major project as we completely gutted our kitchen and extended it into our dining room. The final product is simply beautiful and has changed the entire feel of the house. Incredibly it only took six weeks for them to go from demolition to move in, half the time we were quoted by many other contractors. We feel we got exceptional value and impeccable service. We would highly recommend GBC and we would definitely hire them again.

GBC was professional, timely and the pricing was reasonable and competitive. They did a great job executing my design preferences and did not push me to add features that were expensive and unnecessary. When we pointed point any issues, they addressed them without any drama. I highly recommend.

GBC professionals replaced carpeting and an old wood floor with brand new hardwood floors. They did an excellent job; everything is just perfect. They came on time, did everything that they promised, finished the project early, and sent a cleaning crew to clean up any dust. The condo was cleaner when they left than when they started. I would definitely recommend them to friends and family members!

Today, Tomorrow, and even more this coming Thursday when my family gets here, I am Thankful for the team at GBC Kitchen and Bath. We finally have a kitchen that will accommodate our huge family and a basement bathroom that the kids can use while playing in the finished basement. I had GBC do a tiled walk-in steam shower installation in a high-rise condo building. The logistics involved and county permitting demands were certainly more than average but they did a great job coordinating everything, worked very well with my building managers, and most importantly did excellent work. They stayed on-schedule and on-budget without any issues or problems. The end result is exactly what I asked for and I'm really enjoying at home steaming!

It was a big job considering how old the house was and how much updating it really needed. Every bathroom and the whole kitchen needed updating. They had to replace the floors and EVERYHTING in the kitchen. The bathrooms were dated from the 60s! They were efficient, knowledgable, and full of patience with us as we worked out our designs. They helped guide us in the right direction each time we couldn't agree on something. The whole project turned out better than we could have ever expected. Our plan was to sell the house but after the work that they did, as a family, we have decided to keep it and enjoy it! Thanks again for the amazing job on the bathrooms and the kitchen!!! It all just turned out so perfect.

Just wanted to stop by and thank GBC Kitchen and Bath for their partnership. My father and I started flipping homes a few years ago and we went through several different companies to take care of the kitchens and do some of the bathrooms. Needless to say that it was more of a headache than a time saver. With GBC, it has been so different. They are always on time, quality quality work, and we have had no problems. They have really helped us get the most for the houses we bought because as we all know the kitchen and bathrooms mean everything. That is why we left it up to the professionals! Recently had our kitchen remodeled (new cabinets, new microwave and dishwasher, new sink and faucet, new lighting, etc.). Overall job well done. There were a few unanticipated issues that had to be addressed during the remodeling, but all were resolved. Special mention to the GBC representative (George Bryon) who prepared and coordinated the design phase. Mr. Bryon was always courteous and professional and was easy to deal with as we went through the painstaking task of selecting cabinets, countertop and flooring options. The work of the onsite crew led by Mr. Manuel Romano was very professional. Special note to the manner in which they prepped and cleaned the worksite every day. Finally, cost. We researched multiple contractors and while GBC was not the lowest price, they were very competitive. We selected them after evaluating several factors, including cost. Bottom line: Job well done and very pleased with the outcome.

GBC maintained a polite,patient and respectful demeanor from the very 1st call to the last. George came with the best vision for my smaller master bathroom. He, Buruk and Claudio worked well together with construction execution. They educated me on products, introduced me to their contact and got the best price for fixtures etc. They were flexible in meeting with me. Their men worked hard and timely manner. Project got finished according to timeline we set. They cleaned up nice. The office staff Shellah was friendly and professional. I am very happy with GBC's work and final project cost I negotiated. Highly recommend this company.

GPC did a great job remodeling our master bathroom, at a competitive price. We went to the GBC showroom in Alexandria, VA. A designer went over different configurations, tiles, countertops, cabinets, and showers. He spent a great deal of time with us and developed a 3D model of the new bathroom. GBC handled all the planning and permits. The construction team was courteous, concerned with doing a good job and cleaned up the work area every evening. As with any project, a few things came up. GBC discussed the issues with us and quickly resolved them to our satisfaction. The end result is a great looking new bathroom. We highly recommend GBC.

We wanted to install a steam shower. This was a small bathroom remodel. Many contractors I spoke to were only interested in doing a full remodel. GBC was very accommodating and were able to use our existing vanity and toilet. They did expand the shower to accommodate the steam generator. They started and completed the project on time and within budget. They made the process very easy. We simply went to their showroom and picked out tile and shower door accessories. Their tile work is excellent. Barack (program manager), Claudio and their team were great: cleaned up at end of day, professional. They do have a one year warranty on their work. We had project done about a month ago so too soon to comment on how they followup or handle warranty issues.

We recently completed our entire kitchen renovation with GBC and we couldn't be happier. George and his team were fantastic to work with. George was extremely responsive and always open to discuss and accommodate our ideas and vision. The team showed up when scheduled and always completed their work in a timely and professional manner. We chose Waypoint cabinets and are also happy with the quality and style of their products. The company also sent us a thank you gift, which we found to be a very welcomed and unexpected surprise. The company definitely shows a level of appreciation for their customers that is just not found today by most others. We would definitely recommend George and his GBC team and plan to use them again for future projects.

I had my kitchen redone in September 2016. George and his colleagues were great to work with and responsive whenever I had questions. The quality of their work was high and their prices were very reasonable.

Gut Remodel of Master Bathroom. Involved complete re-plumbing and re-wiring of the bathroom to accommodate a new configuration/layout, new tile throughout, new vanities, new shower and bath, all new hardware, new doors, new lighting, etc. Entire room was taken down to the trusses and studs and then completely re-constructed/re-modeled in brand new layout. Large and complex project. The GBC Team did a spectacular job and was highly professional from start to finish. The quality of the work and the materials was very high level throughout the experience. Given the complexity of the job, the experience and integrity of the team was hugely important and GBC delivered. Florina was in charge of the project and provided excellent design capabilities at critical junctures throughout the project in addition to overseeing the general contracting elements. At one point we were stuck not knowing how to proceed with certain design decisions and Florina stepped in and made key decisions that contributed meaningfully to a fantastic finished product. Florina definitely has excellent design tastes/know-how, and she is decisive. Cesar was an excellent on-site project manager and was responsible for a very high quality installation on a large luxury bathroom. Cesar never once sacrificed quality and was always highly responsive and very detail oriented. We interviewed lots of contractors for the project, and without question made the best possible decision going with GBC. We will certainly work with them again, and we would highly recommend GBC.

I am the homeowner of the kitchen in GBC's "Kitchen Remodeling No. 9" (also titled "Kitchen Remodeling Silver Spring, Md") seen here on houzz. I want to report that I am completely satisfied by the work done by the designers and construction crew at GBC for our kitchen's total renovation. The designers were attentive and responsive to us, while making helpful design suggestions along the way, especially on how to handle a couple of tricky aspects of our house's construction. They listened to our feature wishlist and worked to find design options to maximize our budget, explaining honestly what choices would not work well and why. I also appreciated how they helped us pick important touches such as paint color, interesting light fixtures, and type of sink. The construction crew (including cabinet installation, flooring, window, plumbing, electricity, gas, drywall, and painting) were an A-Team who got the job done within the expected timeline and with attention to detail. They even demonstrated great patience with me, as I wasn't shy about asking lots of questions! I trust and recommend GBC. We are likely to return to them for our next big project: bathroom overhaul.

Great experience buying from GBC! While I did not use their contractors to install I purchased some great floor and extremely unique wall tiles + borders. Their displays helped allot in my pattern making decisions from which I mixed & matched my bathroom. Khalil was a very good sales rep and knowledgeable about everything in there. Ordering and picking up was a good experience. Some wait time for supplemental quantity orders but nothing unexpected there. In the end I was able to return excess with reasonable accommodation and standard restocking fees.

GBC did a full demolition and total renovation of a hallway bathroom with no changes to the plumbing. We went with GBC after receiving quotes from several other contractors. GBC's quote was not the highest, and not the lowest. We liked that they provided the opportunity to choose everything in their warehouse and that they had several options to choose from (more options than one of the other local companies who offers the same setup) as well as deluxe add-ons for an additional price. Luisa helped us pick out our materials. The process was much quicker and easier than we anticipated. They completed the project in about 2 1/2 weeks, and the work was high quality. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. They were helpful, professional, and a pleasure to work with.

Working with GBC for my kitchen was an excellent experience. The stuff was very responsible, kind and friendly. The designer I had was very helpful for giving suggestions. They finished the work efficiently and on time. They were also very helpful when I mentioned couple minor work at my kitchen after the renovation was done and GBC stuff was more than willing to come and fix them. After the renovation, my kitchen was exactly how I wanted. I am really satisfied with the work GBC did. For any renovation work in my house, I would have GBC again to do the work for sure and I will definitely enjoy it!!

During the "shopping" around phase, GBC was, by far, the superior company with excellent follow-up; other companies were horrible...like I was chasing them to take our money. Once we decided to move forward with GBC, they were extremely helpful in making the choices for the Master Bathroom renovation. It was a complete renovation and there were many moving parts, the majority of which GBC stayed on the ball. The actual deconstruction and construction phase took a bit longer than expected but I must say that the final touches were done with class. They took pretty good care of our home - the "path" between the front door and the Master Bathroom - to minimize dust/dirt and damage. Never having done this type of renovation before, I'm certain we would likely go with GBC before as my expectations are different now.

Working with GBC was a great experience. Their work was budget-friendly, and their staff were responsive, friendly, and helpful in giving suggestions, especially my designer Baha. They used sub-contractors for the entirety of my kitchen/living room renovation, which was fine for the most part. Work was done efficiently and kept on a tight schedule and work was finished well ahead of schedule. There were a few minor quality control issues but when I pointed these out to GBC, they were totally responsive in having the sub-contractors back out to fix them. My renovated kitchen and living room turned out to be quite lovely, and I am satisfied with the work. I would have GBC out again to do work on my house.

The service was exceptional – from start to finish. Halil, who oversaw the project was very helpful in working with me to determine the design, in following through with contractors, and in resolving questions and concerns that I had during the renovation. The contractors were timely, hard-working, neat, and most pleasant as they worked to assure that they met my expectations. I was especially pleased with the quality of their work and their attention to detail. The full project took about two months, excluding weekends at my request, which seems record time for all that they did.

GBC did a complete renovation of our kitchen in a timely and cost-efficient manner. The workmanship was first-rate, there were no delays, and the GBC people were all courteous and very professional throughout the project. We replaced everything from cabinets, lights, countertops, flooring, appliances, backsplashes, tiling, etc. with all the work done by GBC. We are very pleased with the final result and would recommend GBC to anyone wishing to do similar work.

The renovated my upstairs hall bathroom. Excellent job. Everyday on time, informative and cleaned up each day. Yes I will use the again.

We love our new kitchen and reading nook area. Our tiny kitchen was moved and enlarged to become the most important part of our home. The beautiful grey stained cherry cabinets with black countertops and hardwood flooring make us appreciate all the hard work GBC Kitchen and Bath did for us. The design, the woodwork, painting, and professional work ethics by everyone made it a worthwhile adventure.

GBC helped us replace countertops and appliances in our condo's kitchen. They helped us pick the right color and manage the costs. Most importantly, they started and finished the project on time and even came back to fix the dishwasher when it wasn't installed properly the first time. We would definitely work with them again on another bathroom or kitchen remodel.
