Garbhan Doran Architects design and execution of our project enabled our family to turn a 1950 house into a modern, comfortable and warm home suitable for our growing family for years to come. Their appreciation of space, light, movement and our requirements delivered a home that is simultaneously striking and complementary to its surroundings.

Garbhan Doran Architects provided a very effective design for the upgrading of entrances (doors,and common area screens for a 30 year old apartment complex in Dublin 4. Garbhan Doran was very professional in working with the apartment Owners' Committee and in taking on board their perspectives and concerns throughout the refurbishment process. This also included provision of follow-up information and assistance long after the project was formally completed.

We hired Garbhan Doran to design and manage the building of a new extension and garden for us in summer 2014. We didnt have a exact idea or plan in mind to start with so it involved a lot of discussion and re-iteration. Garbhan is exactly what you want and expect in an architect. He brought practicality and planning to the project but also brought vision and imagination. He was able to turn what could well have ended up being a standard box type extension with a nice lawn into a very special piece of work and resulting build in which we happily spend most of our time. We are truly delighted with the result and are constantly complimented by visitors to the house. Personally, he is good fun to work with, has great patience and undoubtedly turned what is typically a somewhat stressful experience into to a good fun project. We would highly recommend him and he was worth every penny. He didnt stop working on the project until every last detail was perfect.

Garbhan doran architects did an amazing job transforming our dark shabby old pokey kitchen into a truly beautiful living space that has changed our lives! It is only a small extension to our existing kitchen but it feels like we have triple the space- We never imagined we would have such a beautifully modern and functional kitchen that is filled with light and a pleasure to be in.

Garbhan designed and managed the complete renovation of a 40 year old apartment. Particular challenges included new kitchen, bathroom, windows, floors and electrics and maximizing storage space. Garbhan listened to us and made great suggestions and we were delighted with his attention to detail and the quality of the finish. We have used Grabhan since and hope to use him on our new home.

We wanted a modern designed house that was practical for a family but at the same time took cognisance of the local heritage and culture. He has put an inordinate amount of time and thought into the design and has listened to our views and incorporated them into a stunningly designed home. On top of this he has brought the build in on budget which was a feat in itself. We engaged Garbhan to renovate and extend a protected structure. He is a pleasure to deal with, responds promptly, comes up with great ideas and a solution to every problem. We are very pleased with the end result and have now gone on to engage Garbhan on another renovation!

I worked with Garbhan on plans for a l large multi-functional community project. Myself and the committee involved found him to be very enthusiastic, informed and helpful. We unfortunately did not secure the funding to execute the project but hope to get some work done on it in the next year with the help of Garbhan.

We met with six architectural practices before selecting Garbhan to undertake the remodelling of our home.
