French Influence

Our interior designer connected us with French Influence and what a find! They built a kitchen table for us that I absolutely love! I was able to select exactly the size and finish that I wanted. The best part is the durability. My kids can spill anything on this table and no damage to the wood or finish. This will be a table that is with us for the next 30 years.

We purchased a table from French Influence. When we received the table it was severely cracked at the base and the stain was uneven on top. Also, the legs are uneven and need to be supported with stabilizers. We contacted the owner who said that she would replace the table at no cost and would ship it to us at no cost as well. Over a month later I had not heard from her so I left a voice mail. She called back and said that she made the table, but that it was a little different from the first table. I asked that she send pictures. She sent pictures of the new table on 8/12 and it looked different than our original custom order. I called and left a voicemail with my concerns about the differences on 8/16. She never called back. I had a lot going on in my own life and was trying to be patient with her. She had already committed to making and shipping a new table so I thought for sure that she would honor that. Almost two months later she attended a furniture show a few hours from our home and called the day after the show was over (10/4) saying that we should never come near her because she spent money to bring the table to the show and back to Atlanta. This was completely bizarre considering we never knew that she was going to the show and never arranged to pick up the table. We never even finalized the new table because she had never returned our phone call on 8/16. I called her to find out what in the world she was talking about and she yelled at me and hung up on me without allowing me to speak at all. She refuses to pick up my call to discuss the matter. If she wanted us to pick up the table why would she have never let us know that she was going to the show and bringing our table? Why would she not simply call us while she was there? It does not make sense. I believe that she brought the table with her and sold it instead of calling us to pick it up in exchange for the poorly crafted table that she made originally. I believe that she chose to make money by selling our table to someone else instead of honoring her commitment to us. We are stuck with a poorly stained and crafted table and a very cracked base. We would have gladly come to pick up the new table from the furniture show (even though it is 2hrs from our home) to save her money on shipping. I am shocked to say the least. She never let us know that she was attending the show nor did she call us while she was there. Her first phone call was an extremely rude and highly unprofessional call THE DAY AFTER the show was over and she had already traveled from Texas to Atlanta (we live in Texas). Why wouldn't you call while you were in Texas? I think she was trying to cut ties with us before we called her about our table and she had to say that she didn't have it. It does not add up to say the least. It was a complete waste of money and I would highly caution against working with this company. I would recommend purchasing the same type of table that you can get from her from Restoration Hardware. I regret that we did not purchase our table from them. At least if there was an issue with the table we would have a solid company to work with to correct the matter. With French Influence you have a single owner who can decide what she wants to do on a whim. It is a huge risk with your money and there is no where to turn if something goes wrong.

These guys are wonderful. I was searching on Craig's List for a table that I would love for years and was looking for something out of the ordinary. After visiting their shop in Alpharetta and meeting Murielle & Josh I was completely sold. They went out of their way to get my table delivered to me on my birthday and even helped me get it into my house which was no easy task. They respond to voice mail and phone calls quickly and will do whatever they can to accommodate your specific needs. I have an older home with a sway in the floor where the table now sits and they made some alterations to take some of the weight out of the table. The table itself is gorgeous - I went with the herringbone top which really stepped it up, I definitely got what I wanted! I highly recommend this firm and will refer them forever.

I have been searching for a french table for the past 6 years and none of them were never quite right. Until one day I found French Influence through a facebook ad. After viewing the photos, I thought that the table prices would be too expensive. Their tables are very affordable and are truly a work of art. I highly recommend buying any of their pieces because they hand make each and every piece and the quality is outstanding.
