We worked with Forte Building Group on a large project this past year. Having worked with builders for the last 20 years, I was so impressed with the attention given to this home built by Forte. One of the most important things a client looks for in a contractor when building a home is whether he will give your home the time and attention needed and I know the client and our design team were so impressed that they were present so much on site. Their organized and patient approach to every detail and design issue was impressive. Forte built a beautiful home and I would highly recommend their services to anyone looking for a luxury home builder in Nashville.

We have worked with Forte Building Group on several projects over the years and have had a great experience each time. Whether a new build or remodel, Forte Building Group performed their work in a professional manner. Quality of construction, attention to detail, communication with team members and especially the Client are what I would consider hallmarks of working with Forte Building Group.

We interviewed 5 different General Contractors for the build of our new custom home in the historic section of Brentwood. We chose Will and Adam because they were engineers by trade, organized, affable, flexible and very transparent in their business approach. They exceeded our expectations on all fronts. An added bonus we didn't anticipate at the the time was Will's long standing reputation amongst builders in the community and the County provided him some political capital to effect decision making in local government to our gain. The importance of his (and now Adam's) reputation amongst local Contractors cannot be overstated. We highly recommend this team and would hire them to do it all again.

adam and will built our beautiful custom home that was completed in nov 2018. the professionalism and quality of workmanship was outstanding. we had numerous changes during the process and they were very responsive to our requests. the software they used allowed us to access every detail of the construction in real time. they were fiscally responsible, making suggestions that saved us money while keeping the expected quality of construction. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a custom luxury builder in the nashville area.

We can’t say enough good about Will and Adam. We built a house on a difficult, steep, wooded lot. Will and Adam seriously thought through the pros and cons of all possible locations and directions for the house to face and how we could keep as many trees as possible. Attention to detail and quality were always in their minds. They were always attentive, accessible, and they hired excellent subcontractors. We did talk to others but were attracted to the fact that the Fortes build only a few houses per year and we felt we would receive greater attention to our needs than might be the case with other (and highly recommended) builders. We were and continue to be very happy with our choice. We had both an architect and interior designer. Both did an excellent job, but when building starts there are always changes that can enhance the house. The Fortes were attentive to possible changes and, in a number of cases, their recommendations were spot on! We note that they were in no way pushing changes, just making us aware of alternatives. Further, and most importantly, they were extremely attentive to quality and insisted on the same from subcontractors. All houses have issues that need to be addressed after completion. None of our issues were major and ALL were handled promptly and effectively. We know of no better way to recommend than to say that, were we to build again, we would use them again (and without consulting other builders!).

Forte Building Group is an outstanding company that takes a personal approach to their projects. The exceptional respect they show their clients and sub-contractors are far above other builders I have worked with. Adam takes a calm and collective approach to understanding the project in all facets and works great with all trades. Know that you are in great hands with Forte.

We selected Forte Building Group to build the home I’ve been working on in my head for 40 years. We’ve worked with contractors before during renovations (not fun) and were apprehensive about doing a full on build, particularly since we lived 600 miles away. Will and Adam changed our perception of contractors completely. They were professional every step of the way, communicated the good and not so good timely and have been around to promptly fix the few items from the punch list. They will be our first call for any future builds.

I have been working with Forte Building Group for 20+ years now. Always on top of the selections for hardware and plumbing as well as order process. Very detail oriented and conscious of budget numbers that were quoted for job completion. Forte Building Group took on a handful in 2008 when they finished a major renovation of our home on Wilsonia (photos featured on this site). We had begun a massive project of transforming the facade of our home and the existing 1950's ranch into an 8,000 square foot French Normandy/Country home. Admittedly, we are not the easiest folks to please....but when you earn our trust, you have it for life. We had not ended the first half of our renovation in what one would call a 'good place' with our previous builder. We limped along for 5 years with the house half done - a lovely exterior and addition upstairs, atop the 1950's kitchen and bedroom wings. It all worked, so we were in no hurry to jump into phase 2 until we found the perfect partner. Will Forte was recommended to me. When we first met and shared our experiences and plans, he was not super excited to get in the middle of the mess.....especially since we had no plans to move out during the renovation. After a few months, we went back to him, and I (Dee), essentially begged him to take the project because I knew he was exactly what we needed to 'balance' the way I operate. I am a very visual person. I like to 'shift on the fly' with design as it develops. I needed Will's expertise and calm demeanor to keep me on track and in the road on our budget. It was a match made in heaven. A decade later, we are still friends, we still use many of the subs and I would 110% recommend Will and Adam for any project you are considering....so would my husband, John....who is even harder to please. Thankful that Forte Building Group helped us make our house a home we love.

I have had the pleasure to work with Forte Building Group on 2 projects. One project was an extensive contemporary remodeling, the other, remodeling of a more traditional home in Franklin where my expertise was also needed and deadlines were very short. Both clients were extremely happy of our team service.

All during the interview process we were impressed with the professionalism of these two degreed engineers. Their competence on the job and with follow up after completion has only confirmed our initial belief in them. The sub contractors that they have are outstanding. When guests come to our home they comment on the finish and carpentry work. They worked very well with our architect and suppliers. The Fortes were flexible and helpful with modifications during the construction process. The Fortes attention to detail has been well above expectation. And their communication during the building process with daily logs via Builder Trend software was especially helpful. They are a great choice for a custom build project.
