Forever Redwood

Forever Redwood was engaged to construct a pavilion back in the summer of 2023 with a commitment to have the project completed in late fall. Well, communicated deadlines came and passed, often without communication from the company. Yes, apologies were provided and purposeful reasons given such as product delay, supply chain, etc. We get it! These things do happen; regardless, lack of response, over promise and underdeliver, and failure to fulfil a refund commitment made necessitated the one-star rating. If you are considering Forever Redwood, be prepared for a breach of contract a period of time and a period of frustration.

We ordered a white-washed redwood mosaic large oval picnic table. Within a few weeks, it started leeching oil all over the table surfaces and onto my patio tiles. I contacted FR about it and they said it might not have been sealed properly and they would send a kit for me to sand it, reseal it, and paint it myself. After not getting the kit for a few weeks I followed up and started asking about the warrantee. FR said they forgot to send the kit and are sending it now. They also said that if I wasn’t happy with my own repairs they would send a crew out to repair when in the area. I believe factually they are coming from Mexico. Update- I tried to power wash the stains out of my patio tiles, but it didn’t work. The patio is about 1 year old and the table was supposed to be the centerpiece of the beautiful patio, instead the table ruined it. I can’t get anyone to respond to my concerns. What a ripoff. I had to put this table in my lawn so it didn’t do any more damage.

I do not recommend Forever Redwood. My experience has been promises of dates and apologies with reasons why those dates have not been met. The pergola ordered in May has been sitting in the garage for the last 2 months waiting for installation. I have to contact them to find out about delays, reasons for those delays and new scheduling dates. Sales and marketing emails proclaiming wonderful customer installations makes this customer's experience more painful. I do not recommend Forever Redwood. The Houzz review asks for a completion date. As of now, I do not know when my project will be installed and completed.

Our experience with Forever Redwood started off well. The communication about planning/ordering was great. Communication about work in process and shipping (we expedited) was great, and our product (pergola) arrived on time. Once constructed, we found that several of the fabricated pieces (and this wasn't disclosed prior to purchase either, but several pieces of our pergola are made of smaller pieces, glued together) were not fully dried, and pitch was oozing out of the seams. As the pitch hit the surface of our newly installed patio pavers it immediately stained. We tried the solution on the company's website (which said that staining is from tannins from the wood) which didn't solve the problem as it seems to be from the oil-based stain being carried to the patio by the pitch dripping from the not fully dried wood. I worked with customer service seeking some guidance or help with this problem and received one reply suggesting we use graffiti remover (didn't even mention their own website solution to remove "tannins"). Subsequent request for help/support went unanswered. Bottom line is we've been unable to use our new pergola space because we're reluctant to put our patio furniture under boards that continue to weep stain, and our new pavers remain stained. Very disappointed that the company failed to take their initially good customer service through to the finish line.

Ordered a set of monkey bars and a sandbox (custom-made without a floor). Very happy with both. They were presents for my grandchildren, and they were thrilled! Pieces were intact, assembly was no problem, and the finished products look like works of art in their back yards. Especially pleased because of the environmentally responsible aspects of your company. Will definitely be a repeat customer!

If every company in the world was operated as well as Forever Redwood most could do away with their customer service departments relative to issues stemming from faulty manufacturing all the way through to final delivery of the product. I wish I could articulate how absolutely blown away I was in dealing with them in every aspect of my purchase. Raul Hernandez was more than gracious with his time in addressing my concerns and questions. Sofia and Leo were also quick to provide information relative to assembly instructions and other concerns prior to my order. The old saying "you get what you pay for" is true. In dealing with Forever Redwood I could say "I got more than I payed for"

The awning/pergola is beautiful! The delivery guy and installation team were incredible. I'm very happy with everything. However, the communication team put a damper on my enthusiasm, both during the process and delays, and especially for the delivery. On Friday, July 2nd, we discovered the truck was to arrive the next day... Saturday of a holiday weekend. When the driver called to verify, he told us he was alone and would need help unloading these 24' 400-lb uprights. No one from Forever bothered to tell us that! We had to scramble to find a couple of friends who could give us their Saturday afternoon. Certainly there should be two people on the delivery truck, but more importantly, how could they not have a system for informing the customer of this need? The driver should not have to be the person to get this set up! That's just wrong. The awning is gorgeous, though. I had trouble deciding how to rate this because absent the delays and communication gaps, this is for sure a 5-star awning.

Very happy with the bench. The instructions mentioned two 4” bolts in addition to the mostly 3.5” bolts but those were missing. Because they were necessary, I bought some myself rather than contact ForeverRedwood. Still, this was a 4.5/5 star experience.

Excellent customer service! Product arrived earlier than expected and in perfect condition. Raul and Team went the extra mile to ensure a quality product.

I bough a outdoor pergola from Forever Redwood, i paid for it in full and prior to the install date the owner warned me of the redwood staining my beautiful outdoor patio i just installed. He never mentioned it during the sales process. It's been a year and a half and the pergola keeps on staining my outdoor furniture and patio, I've emailed the owner he asked to send pics and told me he would have a crew come out and help resolve the issue, well its been 5 months and several more emails from me and he never delivers on his promises.

Our order arrived on time and intact. We are totally pleased with our order. We found your staff well qualified, extremely patient, courteous, respectful, professional, pleasant to deal with. We greatly appreciate the sense of pride your entire staff takes in your product and the care with which you manufacture your product with meticulous attention to each and every detail. You are to be commended for your well organized operation. We were kept informed at every step of production and shipping from beginning to completion. We highly recommend your company and your products.

The Modern Louvered Pergola came out better than we could have ever expected! Working with the team at Forever Redwood was such an easy process - they were quick to make adjustments to the plan and were truly committed to making sure we got exactly what we wanted. The end product looks amazing - the wood is so rich in color and the boards are all very solid and thick. Would highly recommend!
