Finelli has been the leader in providing the Northeast region with custom, handmade iron and wood pieces. Our company has a rich tradition with our roots tracing deep into European craftsmanship. Michael Finelli, our founder, was born in 1927 in Roseto Valfortore, Italy. He apprenticed in the local blacksmith shop from the age of 7, forging, crafting, and repairing tools for farmers and local townsmen. Michael moved to America at the age of 18 and upon arrival met his father for the first time. He began work in a steel mill in Cleveland, Ohio. A few years later Michael opened up his own blacksmith shop in Bedford, Ohio. What started out as a single man with a two-car-garage is now a 20,000 sq. ft. iron and wood shop with 15 employees located in Solon, Ohio. In 1987 Michael Finelli passed his business down to his two sons, who own and operate the business and continue the Finelli Family Legacy. As a company, we have been a leader in architectural ironwork and woodwork since 1961 and have gained a reputation for master craftsmanship, skilled workmen, attention to detail, and solid integrity. When I needed new railings in my house, I didn't even consider any one else but Finelli. They installed the original railings in 1968 so I knew they did great work. Even though it was a comparatively small job, I was treated with respect and patience. The person that measured and the installers were meticulous in their work. The quality of the railings is definitely five-star worthy. Thanks, Angelo, Sal, Brian and everyone else.

I’ve done many home projects over the years working with contractors, but this was one of the best experiences I’ve had in a longtime. We had custom railings made for our front porch and they look absolutely great. They listen to all the concerns we had in the planning to come up with a plan that worked best for us. They provide detailed drawings, and the final railings were exactly that. The communication was great. When the installers showed up, they knew exactly what they were doing, and they were very polite and cleaned up the area before they left. Thanks again," Finelli Iron".

My husband and I wanted window guards for the downstairs unit of our 1930-era Tudor-style duplex. I struck out with the first two ironworkers I contacted: The first is a one-man shop and never returned my calls; the second turned down the job as beneath their elite artistry. When I called Finelli, I asked bluntly, "Do you do any work as humble as window guards?" The person on the other end of the line laughed and then said, "Absolutely!" In the end, Finelli produced window guards that are functional and durable as well as artistic: They are powder coated to match our brown trim and resist weathering, and they have a lovely taper at the upper edge, with elegant finials. Weeks after the guards were in place, we discovered, to our dismay, that a storm window we'd had on order elsewhere--during four months of COVID supply problems--had a much fatter profile than the one we were replacing. The new window guard did not have enough offset to clear the new storm window. Finelli came to the rescue by supplying powder-coated aluminum spacers and new, longer bolts for free. They even hand delivered them. We couldn't be more pleased with Finelli's competence and friendly service!

We contacted Finelli after several contractors told us they were the best in the business for installing metal balusters. The contractors were right. The installers were patient in explaining their process to us so we understood each step of the way. Tom Romeo helped us design the baluster pattern so that is looks great in our home. The end result is our home has been transformed from stairways with bland white, wooden balusters to black metal balusters that are a highlight of our home. We highly recommend Finelli. They are responsive, easy to deal with and the quality of their product is unmatched.

Absolutely the most professional group of men I have worked with in the last 36 years of doing upgrades on my home. I only needed one single outdoor railing and there was no pressure to purchase any more. The precise measurements and installation was perfect. Metalwork was beyond exceptional! First, I am a repeat customer. My late husband and I received excellent service, from Finelli, at a former location. Now, I reside in my retirement home and realized the need for handrails. Thankfully, I remembered the service, quality and professionalism that we received from Finelli. I contacted Finelli and scheduled the in home estimate to receive two handrails, on the front of my home and one inside of the garage. As expected, the choices are endless with superior quality and craftsmanship. My selections were made without being rushed or unduly pressured by the company. Post my selections, I was given an approximate installation date. Upon installation, the handrails were installed in a neat and orderly manner. The installers were very courteous and professional. The handrails are beautifully crafted while adding style to my home. I am overwhelmed with joy!
