At Fineline we are a well established, traditional upholsterer based in London. We are a family run business with our roots dating back to the 1940s in Tanzania where the original company, Metro Furnishers, was based. In the 1960s the family moved to England where Fineline Upholstery was created and has gone from strength to strength ever since. Our passion lies in creating stunning furniture and restoring old pieces to their former glory. Our highly skilled upholsterers have extensive experience within the industry and are able to combine modern materials with traditional methods in order to create truly stunning items of furniture.

We are delighted with the high quality service received and the beautiful reupholstering of our 2 Italian leather chairs. They actually look better than the day we bought them 15 years ago. Fineline supplied sample swatches of leather to choose from and they were spot on! Can’t recommend them highly enough. Thank you Helen and Martin W

I had 2 Pieff chairs which are not easy to work with, added to the fact we were in clockdown so could not meet to talk. Fineline were terrific, they quoted quickly and always responded to queries by return. They were super helpful, a pleasure to deal with, and did a terrific job. I would definitely use them again. Just got my chair back for my forthcoming baby's nursery and it is just absolutely perfect. The armchair was light grey but I wanted it to be a mustard yellow to match a color on the rug we chose. Fineline was so great about communication from the start, sent me their fabric suppliers, once I chose, they ordered the fabric with their professional discount, and completed the chair in a very hasty timeline so I'd have it back before this baby comes. The finished work is just stunning. I'm so obsessed with it!!
