Frederic and his team did an excellent job on constructing our house on a vacant lot. His professionalism impressed us on number of occasions during the construction phase. He kept the whole project under tight control so it does not go over budget. He was very quick to offer his expert opinion on places where the same job could be done in a more cost effective ways. Due to bad winter weather that we had in Georgia this year we overshoot the deadline. But we liked the end results and are enjoying the house that is now our home. We are so glad that we found Abbey Construction, I have heard so many horror stories from others. Frederic is some one who is different and he works to make his clients happy. Great quality work. Abbey managed and built my entire basement renovation. I highly recommend for quality finish and professionalism. The project was completed on time and within budget.

Abbey has been great to work with for our kitchen remodel, and we'd definitely use them again for future needs. Budget was reasonable, and they stuck to it. Timeline was manageable, and they kept the project moving despite some delays on our part. Contractors were easy to have around, kept one of the neatest job sites I've seen (a real plus when you are living in part of the house), and when we've needed them to come back for last little things, they've been responsive which is not always the case for those "punch list" type items.

I hired Abbey Construction in 2007 to do a complete kitchen and bath renovation. They did a fantastic job. They are reliable, friendly, reasonably priced, and easy to work with. Definitely 5 stars.

Abbey Constrcution completed an addition on our home. The service was pheonomenal and surpassed all of my expectations. The craftsmanship was excellent and was completed in a timely fashion. I would strongly suggest that anyone with a need for a general contractor consider Abbey Construction as I truly do not believe that the quality or service could be matched by another firm.

Fred and his crew did an incredible job on our home renovation. First of all, they stayed on/below budget which is always challenging on a sizeable home renovation. Secondly, at Fred's recommendation, we made several "on-the-fly" changes to the project and these are changes that we are so happy we made in hindsight and have made a big difference. These changes included specific changes to the site work (grading and wall material, etc.), spacial modifications, as well as architectural details (i.e. accenting with aged timbers). Again, even with the modifications, Fred was creative in keeping the project on budget. Fred and his crew are very thoughtful on the details of the project and will go above and beyond to ensure their client is happy. Home construction is a stressful project for the homeowner and Fred does a great job of staying even keeled and resolving any issues that arrise.

Abbey Construction did several things for us after we bought our new home. They added an "L" shaped island in our kitchen, did electrical work with canned lights, painted several areas, and installed our windows. They are very knowledgeable and trustworthy and can do just about anything! I would highly recommend them for any job and plan to use them again when we remodel our master bed and bath.

I have never been happier working with a general contractor! A little background…I have sold real estate for 12 years now and have known some really good contractors but Fred Dawson with Abbey Construction is the BEST in town. I wouldn’t let anyone else work on my home. Fred listened to my crazy ideas for my basement and did exactly what I wanted. He also came up with a brilliant idea of moving one window, which created an entire new finished space without moving an additional wall – which saved us a bagillion dollars! The work they did on our home includes: opening up a closed wall, refinishing hardwood floors, adding hardwood floors, electrical, completed demo of our existing basement down to the studs, adding a full bath, adding new bedroom, playroom, heavy carpentry work, painting, and a lot more. Throughly enjoyed working with Abbey Construction and owner Frederic Dawson. Honest, hard working, quality workmanship from everyone. In late 2011 my home flooded. When Frederic and I first met he instilled in me the confidence that all could be fixed. He had a disaster recovery team in my home the evening of the flood. Plans for the rebuild continued and Frederic had his team ready to go once the recover was complete. My home was complete in the timeframe promised, and on budget. The workmanship was impeccable. I highly recommend Frederic and his team.

Great company to work with. Abbey Construction added on a second floor to our house. The project was on time, on budget and it is a pleasure to work with Fred. 5 years later and the renovation looks terrific and we are still very happy.
