Frank Brookshire Architect

Frank was very responsive to our vision and needs for our new addition, which was somewhat unique. He helped make the architecture meld with the old house style and worked really well with the builder and my wife and I to make construction go smoothly . The quality of his plans was excellent and the end result has been great.

Frank Brookshire designed a retirement home for us in Peterborough, New Hampshire while we were still residing in Virginia. It was easy to work with him via phone conversations, emails and a few on-site visits. He was very attentive to our descriptions of our style preferences and lifestyle. He managed to incorporate everything on our "wish list" into the design of the house, including a tower room and a library with a vaulted ceiling. His handling of these two features resulted in a complex roofline that is elegant yet not dominating. He is really good at designing adequately sized rooms for various purposes (ex. laundry room and pantry). He added some extra touches that we would not have thought of, such as incorporating a small foyer into the entrance to a guest bedroom and designing an extra wide hallway to serve as a gallery space for the tapestries we collected while living overseas. Frank is especially interested in siting and designing a house to maximize energy conservation. The home that he designed for us is quite unique and when we drive into our driveway we feel it is stunning to look at!

I have had the opportunity to collaborate with Frank Brookshire Architect, and I was very impressed. Frank has the ability to design, prepare the construction documents, and guide the project through construction. He is a very talented architect, and I would strongly recommend him.

Mr. Brookshire is a talented architect who can work wonders with limited space and limited budget as well as with larger projects. He is mindful of materials and uses and codes. I have been working with him for some time and he is very experienced. George Horowitz
