Ornametals and Finer Welding is the result of years of creative exploration, one of the only companies in Western North Carolina that offers complete entrance design, fabrication and installation of one-of-a-kind custom entry gates, including full automation with security devices for any size entrance. Job costs can range from $150 for a simple welding repair to $150,000+ for a complete entrance. Standard gates $1,500 to $6,500. Security gates $1500. to $7500. Custom gates $2,850 to $25,000. Complete entrances $15,000 to $150,000. Custom Monument signs $3,000 to $75,000 and Iron Handrail systems start at $85.00 per lineal foot. These are estimates only based on experience and your actual costs may vary depending on the scope of your project. Contact us for a consultation about your project. Ornametals not only install beautiful iron gates, but we also install stone columns, landscaping, water features monument signs and street signs. Tom is an articulate and professional individual whose artist talent excels beyond many others in his field. My wife and I were referred to Thomas to build a custom gate for our new log home. We went in with a rough idea of what we wanted but nothing definite. He not only immediately drew our ideas out for us, came up with several alternative examples, but gave suggestions on what might look nice for our style home. When he showed us the various designs he could create for us, he even added in the type of landscaping that would blend in with the surrounding land. The custom gate was installed very expeditiously, in a very professional manner. Our gate has given our log home a "wow' factor that many neighbors and guests have complimented us on. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Thomas for any job, big or small.

Thomas created an amazing entry gate for my ranch. All of this was done remotely over email and a couple of phone calls. This was a complex design. He was also very mindful of shipping costs and was able to arrange for some very cost effective shipping from the east coast to the west coast. I would hire him again.

Thom did so much more than just helping us design the entrance to our home in NC. He is not only an artist with his welding and design but also able to do everything from planning to putting it all together for a great finished look. I never had to wonder what was next as he was one step ahead and always on time.

After jointly designing the gate and fence, Tom did everything else from there with the exception of running the electrical cable to the gate. The gage and fence are exactly what we expected and we are extremely please with the entire job. When the keypad malfunctioned Tom was up within a few days to replace it with a new one. We highly reccommend

I hired Tom based off of his website because I was so impressed by his photo gallery and knew he could design and build exactly what we were looking for. He did a beautiful job on a double wrought iron gate for our entrance which included artwork of black bears, deer, turkeys and an eagle. We are always getting inquiries on who built it for us. Tom has since done other smaller jobs for us and is getting ready to start another one, I would never want to seek any other company to perform these jobs for us, Tom just knows our taste and love for wildlife. He shows this in his great artistic abilities!

We hired Tom/Ornametals to create a very different and unique entry for a new subdivision we were creating in Lake Lure NC. Tom knocked it out the park!! He exceeded are expectations by a mile. Everyone around the area said our entry was one of the most beautiful entry's in the area. Tom also did the landscaping and the sprinkler system. It was great to only have to contract with one company to do everything. If you are looking for someone that is an incredible artist who can create that image to steel and blow you away -- we recommend Ornametals!!
