Not many people can say their reno was stress free! I put off my reno for a long time because I didn’t feel I had the skills or knowledge to make decisions and monitor the quality of the work. Teresa worked closely with my builder supporting me every step of the way to make decisions, solve problems and ensure the high standard of work was achieved. Teresa was fun to work with but most importantly helped me navigate all of the required design decisions including kitchen and dining, selection of tiles, paint colours, floor boards, curtains and blinds, lighting, appliances, and furnishings. She very quickly gets a sense of her client’s style and works at pace through design decisions to ensure timely sign off for builder to commence work. She stayed connected to the project supporting as needed until its completion. Teresa is creative with her designs but practical, knowledgeable about best suppliers and products, very proactive and quick to solve problems. She is flexible, accommodating, and thoughtful making suggestions and sharing ideas throughout the project. Teresa is well connected and helped me get trustworthy suppliers for upholstery, furniture, trade discounts for product suppliers. She added so much more value than the minimalist service I was expecting. Her extensive experience in renovating and design meant as unexpected build decision arose throughout the project she was always able to assist to trouble shoot and come up with options. I am absolutely thrilled with my freshly and holistically renovated apartment. It is unique but reflects me and feels like home. Thank you!

I'd been contemplating renovating my kitchen/living/powder room area but I didn't know who to contact or where to start. Teresa is AMAZING to work with! I engaged Teresa to work with me on my bathroom renovation which very quickly turned into..."help me restyle my entire apartment". I've loved every minute working with Teresa. She listens, learns who you are and your style, makes fantastic suggestions and works within your budget. In 2016 I embarked on my first renovation - a bathroom. Teresa was the contact and designer at the building firm that carried out the renovation. I was so impressed with Teresa and her work that, when I decided to do a kitchen renovation in 2022, I tracked her down @ Embracing Space in the hope that she would be available. From the moment I made that first call to the completion of the renovation, Teresa was brilliant. The design ideas and attention to every detail were impeccable. Always quick to respond to any queries/ideas, proactive and able to find a solution to anything big or small. Teresa delivered my dream kitchen on budget, on time and with a unique flair for design and client service that is truly exceptional. The entire process was so enjoyable I'm actually disappointed it is over!! Until the next time................

Sandringham project: It’s now 7 months since we moved back into our fully renovated house in June 2022 and we are - as they say - ‘Still lovin’ it’. We don’t think we are ever going to stop lovin’ it. When we engaged our builder, Glenn Johnson from K2Homes, he suggested Teresa Kleeman - Embracing Space, with whom Glenn had worked on a number of occasions. We engaged Teresa and, well, what a great recommendation from Glenn that turned out to be. We had not considered using someone like Teresa and now after the reno is complete, we are so glad we did. Both of us really felt comfortable with Teresa from the beginning, and we trusted her design ideas & ability to source materials. The end result is a beautiful home with common threads throughout and spaces that feel right aesthetically and work very well practically. The scope of works for Teresa to assist us was: Drawings and design advice for Kitchen, Euro Laundry, Bathroom, En-suite, Powder room/WC, 4 x wardrobes for our 3 bedrooms; & shelving around our fireplace. Alec writes: Teresa came full of enthusiasm and ideas. I had many of my own clear style & design ideas that I suggested to Teresa and together we threw them around and massaged them to get a great outcome. Teresa set me straight on a few of my not-so-great-ideas and then would suggest better ones. I had a great to and fro with Teresa, and in most cases, we accepted her advice. In a few, but only a few, We pushed back & Teresa was ready to accept my/our vision, even though she may not have agreed. It’s the contest of ideas and a bit of tension that brings a great result. Teresa, went over & above what I was expecting. -So many hrs meeting at supplier warehouses & showrooms; -On site meetings with tilers & cabinet makers to ensure finer details were correct; -Detailed technical drawings with clear notes for builder & trades; -Clear & accurate communication with us & all trades; -Alert to potential problems so she was able to intervene to prevent them. Teresa’s fees were very well priced for what we received & I could not be happier with the result of our beautiful full home renovation. Teresa also had some great finer detail ideas that I had not considered. Alec Jess writes: I agree with everything that Alec has said. As a bit of a background I am a CEO for a consultancy company, and I don’t have much time during the day for selecting things or talking ideas. I love what my husband dreams up most of the time, but sometimes the ideas don’t land. So I was so grateful that Teresa was there, in a funny way she sort of represented my view and taste. I would go as far as saying Teresa was very good for my relationship with my Husband. We didn’t have any arguments or stress over the renovation, largely because Alec and Teresa did all the discussing first. We both still have “renovators high” and we just love our home. Teresa and Embracing Space came highly recommended to us by our draftsman. As is generally the case - given we had no previous experience renovating or interior design and never having met Teresa - it was a leap of faith engaging and trusting Embracing Space with planning and delivering a high quality product. From the moment we met Teresa it was clear she was highly experienced in her craft and wasn't someone who wanted to force her ideas or visions onto us. Teresa was wonderful to communicate with right from the beginning, an easy conversationalist who took the time to sit down with us and listened to our thoughts, expectations, budget and ideas. Her communication skills are fantastic and easily reachable by phone or email, even the most trivial of inquiries were promptly answered and clarified. Our project was quite a large one, taking in a new powder room, kitchen and living spaces, all of it reorientated. As the renovation evolved, Teresa's expertise was so easy to see. The design phase, colour schemes, types of fixtures, lighting, appliances, bench tops, tiles, floors and toilets, and as these all started to take shape, every step was communicated to us, our ideas and thoughts sort and changes made without any fuss or issue. Further, Teresa made sure she was with us at every Tile, Stone Fixture, Appliance Lighting and Floor outlets we visited, helping with choices and guiding us throughout. These occasions were very time consuming and were were grateful for her presence. We are extremely happy with the completed renovation and Teresa far exceeded our expectations in delivering beautiful rooms. The proof in her expertise is not only in our everyday living and easily usable space but in the admiration of the finished product by every guest we have hosted since. It was a pleasure dealing with Teresa of Embracing Space. The brief was to install an ensuite in our bedroom of a 120 y.o. Victorian house. After toying with this idea for many years, along came Teresa! Her immediate grasp of our concept and clarification of how to go about it was amazing. Detailed plans followed, then the selection of fittings, tiles, colours and lighting, with Teresa setting up appointments just made it too easy! She even recommended a builder who did a fantastic job. We highly recommend Teresa. We love everything about our fabulous ensuite. Our guests love it too as now they have their own facilities in the family bathroom.
