Falk Designs is a full-service boutique firm specializing in both corporate and residential interior design. People are very different, so projects are very different. We provide complete turnkey service for a wide spectrum of projects, ranging from comprehensive renovations to smaller scale face lifts. We also offer retainer service for procuring individual specialty items. Our billing options are flexible, featuring both project and day rates as well as hourly consultations. The thing that isn't flexible however, is our commitment to you, our client. You can be assured that regardless of whether your project is large or small, Falk Designs will provide you with superior skill, exacting attention to detail and excellent client service. I Leibowitz

We hired Ellen on December 2, 2017 to design two kids rooms to be completed by end of March, 2018, which she agreed to. By July 8, 2018, 7 months later, we still had no final room designs except for closets. She would propose options to the kids, get our approval, and then change course when it turned out the prices far exceeded our budget. She would then blame us for being indecisive. During this back-and-forth, weeks would go by with no word from her unless we reached out to her first. It gave the appearance that she wasn't prepared for, nor focused on, our project even though we'd already paid her thousands of dollars. We decided we'd had enough and informed her we were ending the project on July 8, 2018 and that we expected at least a partial refund as we had no final plans and no materials. Even then she still took weeks to respond and only to say “I am away traveling and will address your account when I get back.” That was on August 25, 2018. We have not heard from her since despite our additional emails to her on September 7th and 17th.

Ellen has renovated and designed several spaces in two differed homes. She put together functional spaces with a palette of colors and textures that created beauty and peace. She is currently renovating our kitchen. I highly recommend her.

Ellen knows all about everything - there is no issue she can't come up with a solution for! She is amazing with any budget and knows how to find hidden treasures that are a steal. She has a great sense of how to blend old and new which can be challenging but worth it, and she is a visionary. But she's also extremely practical, a Mom, a juggler and someone who appreciates deadlines. She's also just a blast to be around!

Ellen Falk did our kitchen, and a year later, our bedroom. I keep recommending her to friends because of her outstanding professionalism, efficiency, creativity, and responsibility. She is highly communicative, and made us fully aware of both of our contractual obligations before work began. No hidden costs or missed phone calls. Ellen was on-hand with contractors so I could go to work. There's no way I could have come up with ideas without her design and architectural expertise. I'm looking forward to our next shared project!

I knew that I wanted an inexpensive refresh for my kitchen, but beyond that, I had no idea what I wanted. Ellen spent a quiet afternoon with me and helped me figure out what I wanted. I'm still not sure how she did it. I only know that I started the meeting confused and ended it very happy - finally know what I wanted.
