Bernard Gantes

Ed Gulian is the dream architect: he always spent the necessary time with us to understand in depth what we were trying to achieve. He did not impose his own style but instead researched and suggested fantastic solutions which enhanced our dream project. During construction, he went beyond his duty to help the contractor when a technical challenge presented itself. I definitely recommend Ed for any style architectural project. He deserves to be very successful. Last, I would hire him again if I had another building project.

Ed designed our dream home. He is very patient and takes the time to make your vision a reality. He is pleasant, has a positive attitude and responds in a timely manner to any questions that you have. During the design phase he took the time to point out and suggest design features in our home to take advantage of the incredible views and fit the needs of our family. Even though he has completed the architectural plans he continues to assist as an adviser during the construction phase. I have seen several homes that Ed has designed in the Long Beach area. They are all beautiful! Ed is an excellent architect and will also provide great customer service. I would definitely recommend his services.

Ed Gulian in short, is brilliant! We are extremely pleased with his work, honesty and personal efforts from beginning to end in support of our ambitious rebuild project. He saw a diamond in the rough and brought a simple 1947 Mid-Century Modern beach house back to new life. We are extremely proud of our “little gem” and would recommend him gladly.

Ed Gulian designed our dream home for us in Naples Island. Because of the newer height restrictions in our area, we were unable to do a complete tear down, and had to work with the bones of the old home. Ed was very creative in his design work, taking advantage of every high ceiling and adding steel and reinforcements where needed to create a very open contemporary space. He stayed with the project during the construction phase and was a delight to work with.

I am an interior designer who has had the privilege of working with Ed on many, many projects over the last 20 years. I have seen his talents grow along with the number of happy clients. His designs always have such a wonderful 'bone structure' that it makes my job easy. He is adept at interpreting your dreams and turning out a wonderful set of plans in absolutely any style. A tour of his completed projects will reveal a wide range of gorgeous homes. Having trouble visualizing something? He will stand on site with you and to do freehand, perspective sketches that are so, so helpful. Aside from his depth of architectural and building knowledge, he is a light-hearted and cheerful presence on a job. The designing and building process is a long one and liking the people with whom you are working makes the entire project much more enjoyable. Your journey begins with selecting the right architect. You'll be happy you talked with Ed.

Ed Gullian designed 2 homes in 2008 and 2009 for us. He also did the plans on another project we were involved in in 2013. We have recently engaged Gullian Design to complete plans on a residential remodel project. Ed is very creative and and combines function with form so in the end you get a project that has unique design characteristics but is still practical and livable.

I remodeled my home. We nearly doubled our square footage. Ed walked into my home and immediately saw wanted I wasnt able to see. He suggested moving my kitchen to the opposite side of my house and it made all the difference. What used to be our kitchen is now my wifes huge walk in closet/master bathroom. We also raised ceilings making the house feel so much larger. Ed sees what the avg person doesnt see with layout, design, and detail. Super stoked I found Ed and so thankful for his great design in our remodel.
